I am going through the usual best footwear search for our upcoming trip. There seems to be lots of fans of the Teva Mush style. Is there a difference between the Original Mush and Mush II styles? How does the sizing run? It seems availability is limited on the Original Mush style and of course they are out of stock in my usual size. Is the Mush II comparable?

I don't have the II's , I have read online the II's aren't as mushy or good but that's just hearsay. I love my originals one of the very few pairs of flip flops I can wear b/c I have severe PF (and at that can only wear flips occasionally for half a day). As far as sizing I wear a solid 8 in nearly every shoe I own and my original Mush's fit well at an 8. They could just a wee bit more room length wise, my feet don't hang over the edge but are a little closer to the back heel than I really like. An 8.5 would be better (and a 8.25 perfect if they existed) but my store didn't carry half sizes when I bought them.

I have the mush II and love them. Never tried the original, so cannot compare. Also bought the mandalyn wedge and love those, too. Teva is now my favorite brand of flip flops.

I wear a 10, sometimes 11. I have both my flip flops in 10 and they fit perfect.

Thanks! I usually where a 9 but sometimes end up in 8.5 or a 9.5 so I wasn't sure if I should try to size up or down.

I've used the Teva Mush for my last two trips and love them- they were the original ones, obviously. Robo, as always, you are just too cool!!:thumbsup2

I used to swear by Teva Mush for the perfect WDW shoe and have them in just about every design (we're talking 20-30 pairs:rotfl:). Yeah, I'm a flip flop diva and having over well over a 100 pairs freely admit it.lol Since developing plantar fasciitis a couple of years ago I have had to give up wearing my beloved Teva Mush as much as I did. They always ran true to size for me. Last year I did try on a pair of the new Teva Mush and was not as impressed with them. They were no where near as cushy as my beloved orginal Teva Mush. I have two daughters in law who swear by Teva Mush and both have said they don't like the new ones near as well as the old style. They are comfortable, but no where near as comfortable as the originals and seem to break down quicker.

Off topic: since developing plantar fasciitis I have spent a fortune trying to find the perfect flip flop that gives the support and comfort I need. My favorites now are OluKai Ohana, Orthoheel Tides or Waves, Sketcher Tone Ups, Montrail Molokini, or Fit Flops. If you don't have PF the Teva Mush, Nike Celso, Reefs, Yoga Mats, Volatile Keralee, Chacos, and Yellow Box Jello are also very comfortable. Alot of people swear by Crocs, but my podiatrist swears those were what caused my plantar fasciitis (I wore the clog style at work all the time and the flip flops everywhere else).

I too was a flip flop Diva until I developed PF!! But out of all my flip flops, my Teva Mush were my absolute favorites! I agree that the original seems cushier and better made than the newer ones. I was diagnosed a year ago with PF and I still can't bring myself to get rid of my flip flop collection! :sad1:
Anyway now I wear mostly running shoes but still wear supportive flip flops like the Orthaheel.

Aubriee, I'm always looking for good flip flops that I can wear with my bad feet. I'll definitely have to try some of the ones you mentioned!

Definitely go with the original!! I just got my newest pair. I've been wearing nothing but Teva mush in the summer for the past 8 years. The new ones are not as comfortable and do not last as long.

I got the Original Mush due to reviews on this site. Well, they actually sent me the new Mush II's. They felt good but I wanted the Original. Swapped them out for the Original's and they were definitely "mushier".

One tip is to order a couple of pair and send back the ones you don't like. This way you get free shipping (if over $45) and free returns.

And I wear a 10 iall my other shoes so I got the 10 in the Mush. Fit just fine.

I ordered the Mush II since the originals were out of stock in my size. Now the Originals are back in stock so I ordered some of those too. Now at least I can compare for myself.

I have the Sanuk Yoga Mats which are really comfortable. I wore them on a test walk and I am afraid they are going to give me blisters. I tried the OluKai Ohana's but they really hurt my arch. I usually wear Crocs but I feel like I could use a little more arch support. I guess I need something more supportive than Crocs but less than the Ohana's.

I love the originals and are the only flip flops I can wear.I have done 4 weeks in disney with only them.Last year I bought a pair of the 2's and I hated them-they were more narrow, less cushy and didn't provide good arch support for me.I am so happy they brought back the originals and now they removed the logo on the heel-it used to start to irritate after awhile and I would have to put a piece of moleskin on it.

I just ordered and received my first pair of Teva Mush flip flops (original). I'm going to wear them today and try them out! They are very comparable in sizing to any other shoes.

I have foot issues as well and my podiatrist recommends Superfeet Flip Flops. I have a pair, but they make my feet sweaty and stinky. I actually broke the back of my heel last summer and have never fully recovered...ugh....

I just bought the Mush last night, found a kind of blah pattern on Amazon for $17 and change. I can't wear flipflops all day, but my plan is to wear them when I can and if it rains. I'll wear my sneakers, but have the sandals in a plastic bag in my big bag, then if it rains I can swap out. I did that last January but I just had the cheap Old Navy flipflops and they just get too slippery when they're wet.

Kinda coincidental but I just got an email from Teva for a free pair of Mush flip flops when you buy for Mom (orders of $60 or more). It has a coupon code to enter but I'm not sure if it's locked to my account.

I opened my confirmation email from amazon today and it says I'm getting the II's when I definitely clicked on originals.

I have 4 pairs of the original Teva Mush and 3 pairs of the Mush II (yes, I'm a flip flop addict).

The Mush II isn't as comfy as the original. They're narrower and not quite as, well, mushy. But... they were still okay for all day walking at WDW. I do hope Teva brings back the originals soon! (I keep hearing rumors that they will but haven't found any yet.)
