So I have decided I really want some Teva's. Went to their website and I want one of the Original series. But then I have some trouble deciding.

I really like the new women's Terra Fi. But I also think the Pretty Rugged sandals are pretty good too. I definitely like the Microban foot odor feature.

So women out there, which of these do you like better? Or if you have a better suggestion, let me know. I wear a 10, if it matters.

I have 2 different Teva's.

First is the Stratum, which I got for $29.99 on www.sierratradingpost.com on clearance:

Second is the Spitfire, again, I got these from Sierra, and I don't remember how much

My mom spends winters in Florida, and the NE summers on my folks boat, she LIVES in her Tevas. Her current favorites are the Kinetic. Which we have not been able to find anywhere on sale.

I think the trick is to get a pair with an arch, and some support. The 'old school' flat ones can be tough on your feet after a couple of hours.

Good Luck!!!

Thanks. I am pretty sure the 2 I am interested in have arch support, but I better go double check.

Any more opinions?

My DD and I have Pretty Rugged's- I love them. Very comfy.
I live in them when we go to Fl. Can walk around Disney all day w/out a prob.

i have a pair of pretty rugged's i paid a fortune ($60) for last summer in provincetown. however, i love them! on my last disney trip my sneakers were making my little toe hurt after two days. i switched to my tevas and they were fantastic. very comfy.

the hurricanes are on sale for $19.99 on sierratrading post

The Hurricane's seem to have less arch support...it's so hard to tell from a picture. My kids are on spring break this week so next week I am going to try and make it to Galyans to try things on. So far I really like the features and looks of Pretty Ruggeds and Terra Fi. But I am certainly open to suggestions.

My DD's 1st pair were Hurricanes- we upgraded this year to Pretty Rugged's because hers were hurting her feet and she tried mine and couldn't believe how much more comfy they were.
The Pretty Rugged's have padding at the heels strap, around the toe strap and around the ankle strap + the footbed is softer. The Hurricanes footbed is stiffer and only has the extra padding at the heel.
LL Bean sells kids Hurricanes(up to size 8) for $32.50
Pretty Rugged/TerraFi- $65
Adult Hurricanes- $40
Kids- Inversion- $40
Adult- Wraptors- $90

If you can, go to an athletic store and try on some different styles. I have tevas but by far my favorite pair of sandals are my nike straprunners. I have straprunners IV and V and I like the IV's better. My teva's don't cushion my feet near as well, but I can't remember which style I have.

I have straprunners too and I do like them, but I have been wanting to find Tevas for a while now. The hard part is is that there are very few stores near me that carry them in stock. I will probably have to drive 20-30 miles to a store that has them.

Yeah, I do like the ones in the pictures above! They usually have them on rei.com also. I may have to try some more too!!:D

I bought the stratum. Off ebay.... Got a pretty good deal I think.
I haven't worn them outside, but have put them on in the house and they seem to be very comfortable. I am a Reebok, DMS walker person (with the air chamber padding) so feel I can't live without some serious padding for the feet. The Teva seems to fit the bill. HOpe I will not be disappointed at WDW.

I am bummed. I tried on a pair of those Teva Pretty Rugged sandals at EMS and loved them, except where the strap rubs on top of my left foot. I have a big bunion which doesn't bother me as long as I wear wide running shoes. But after walking around the store a little with the Tevas on, I felt sore in that spot. Otherwise they felt wonderful and I could see a person being cool and comfortable in them all day at Disney. Oh well, I don't think I'll ever find a sandal I can be comfortable in for a lot of walking...I'll probably be heading out to the Reebok factory for a couple of pairs to break in before we leave...:(

I just received my first pair of Tevas in the mail today! I had tried on a pair of the Pretty Ruggeds at Dillards and they felt wonderful, but the price was a little high ($70.00). So, I checked Ebay! I ended up winning a pair of the women's Circuit Leather for just $36.00!!! They sell for $75.00! Brand New with the tags sitll on!! They are very similar to the Pretty Ruggeds, just a little more sporty looking to me, which is great for WDW! They are very comfortable!

Check Ebay, Great deals!!!

If you really need any arch support at all, you won't be happy with ANY of the Tevas - they used to make good arch supports, but in the last several years have done away with it completely.

I bought a pair of Pretty Ruggeds last summer, and discovered I couldn't wear them at all for anything, becuase of the lack of arch support.

So if you're looking for arch support, avoid the Tevas - I got a pair of Chaco sandles - EXPENSIVE, but they actually have a GOOD arch support - now I just need to wear them enough to get my feet used to the straps.

I happen to own a few pair of teva's and by far by favs are the regular flip flop ones. the fabric is so soft and the foot bed is springy and really forms well to the contors of your foot. The other Teva's I have with all the strps over and around the foot w/ all the velcro...well they rub in diffrent spots on both feet. No matter how much I try and adjust the straps.
