Hi Everyone,
I can tell you that we had a LOT of fun doing the call in show yesterday. The goal was to test out the system and see what needs to be addressed. AT&T did not set up the phone lines correctly, so they were not rolling over to any other lines, which is why everyone was getting a busy signal. We'll have that fixed this week. Also, the recording volume on some of the calls was too low and a few of the calls have to be taken out because you can't hear them. Unfortunately, Mindy's was one of those calls - she was calling during a thunderstorm, and there was real reception issues.
As for the poor lady at the Limo service, I plan to call and apologize and don't worry, we'll absolutely do something nice for her. I feel awful about that.
And yes, we will DEFINITELY be doing more of the call in shows in the future (likely in the next two weeks). I won't be giving away prizes to every caller (that was a moment of insanity, but a lot of fun), but we will do some fun stuff with that technology.
I'm sorry for all of you who couldn't get in, but the response to my post far exceeded what I thought would happen. We only have 6 lines coming in, so I'm afraid that whenever we do this a lot more people will try to call in then will actually get thru. The system can actually handle up to 16 lines, so if this works well over time, and becomes popular enough - I'll be able to expand it somewhat, but that's a few months down the road
Thanks again to everyone who called in - we had a blast!!
Pete
