This is a test -- if I'm successful, there will be a link to a trip report in my signature in a day or two to a trip report of a month-long trip that will use "q and d" (quick and dirty, pre-done) pages for photos.
Intro -- off to Florida:

well, that's way too tiny. Guess I didn't need to resize it the way I used to. that's why I'm testing.

Nothing seems to be successful -- I tried starting a trip report, and just ended up with a mess, so am giving up for now.

Designers from HGTV. Unfortunately no PhotoPass photographer so not good photos of them, but sure was fun to meet Carter and David. The Festival was wonderful as always.

well guess the problem is in photobucket. don't know why they're so small.

Photo from my I-phone from Star Wars weekend:

Interesting -- that worked just fine.

Well, that's somewhat better. Guess I don't want to put them into Adobe and try to crop them and make them smaller. But I didn't really want them quite this small either. Oh well. I don't have a huge amount of patience for this. Which is why I was trying to do more photos in a post by scrapbooking them.

Doing the backgrounds ahead of time worked in most instances, but not all. Sometimes I didn't get the photos I meant to, or got them in the wrong format for what I had set up. But I do have an almost complete overview book almost done in less than two weeks after the trip was over. It definitely does not cover every detail since I was in Florida for a month on a solo, budget trip and have been several times before (so not a lot of the "same old attraction" photos, etc.). The trip report will be in the DVC TR section; the link in my signature will change once I get going on it, if you want to check it out.

Glass sculpture at Chihuly collection, St. Petersburg, and Florida college with Frank Lloyd Wright buildings, side trip:

Guess I'm at the end of my patience for getting this idea to work -- have to go back to the tedium of individual photos, or maybe a combo of both. Not that my trip report is going to be of much interest to many people anyway. It was a nonalcohol, nonfoodie, solo, budget trip -- but I had tons of fun doing it my way!

hello, I have done the Frank Lloyd Wright tour of that college, too. I loved the little chapel, especially.

DH and I did the Dale Chihuly museum 2 or 3 years ago, when we combined a Tampa Bay Baseball game, followed by an Adam Lambert concert. Then we went on to WDW.

Are you a Monet fan as well? Seems that we have similar artistic taste!
Nice to meet you, Deb

Hi Deb -- the other page that goes with this one is more Wright buildings and the new Dali museum (altho I almost like the previous one better, but the new grounds are certainly better). I think I'm giving up on my trip report, at least with the scrapbook idea. Photobucket doesn't seem to work as well for me as it used to. The Chihuly collection was superb -- I love the work of the Pilchuck studios -- well, most any glass work, but especially Chihuly.

I like Monet, but don't seek him out (like I would Cezanne).

The Bok Tower Gardens was another excellent side trip.

Have started cranking out the TR in the DVC section (link below). You will notice that the pages are not really complete -- need some journaling and final touches. It helped somewhat doing basic layouts ahead of time, but also led to some awkwardness and finagling when I didn't get the right photos to match. At least I got a good start on about 40 pages of my month-long trip. I took over 1500 photos and have another 600+ Photopass pics also. So these pages barely are an overview. I don't want to make people jealous that I got to do this trip -- I wish everyone could have such an opportunity, but a lot of people don't like to cut the corners I cut either (I spent barely over $100 on Disney food, since I stayed in timeshares; I spent a little more on food than I would at home for myself, but not much).
