Is there a board here on the dis where people can get signatures made that conform to the dis guidelines? I have a friend who does all of mine, but she's not a part of the dis. I think that would be a great idea with all of the creative people here.

WAHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!! Why doesn't it conform to the rules? Could someone point me in the direction of the rules? I have seen others here with pics like that. always gotta be a rule breaker in the crowd!!

Don't feel bad. I got a warning last week and my siggy was tiny compared to a lot of what I've seen on here. I'm inclined to say it depends on the mood of the mod that day, lol. Here's what they sent me:

Signature Rule Violation

Hi,

Your pics in your signature are larger than Dis guidelines allow. I highlighted the section below.

2. No single image may exceed 550 pixels in width nor 200 pixels in height. The old standard was that all images combined must fit within a single 400x400 square. This was changed earlier this year to the current requirement. If you have a signature developed to the old requirements, you need to fix it to meet the current requirements.

3. The TOTAL filespace of all your images combined must not exceed 50KB. (That's 51,200 bytes).

Your signature breaks the rules because there are too many images:

Here's the rule...

1. No more than three images are allowed. All of the following each count as an image: (1) A photo, (2) A Clipart, (3) A Countdown, (4) A 'sparkly' signature, (5) Any non DISboard smilie, (6) Eggs. Note also that WISH images each count toward the maximum of three images allowed.

Thus if you have a sparkly signature line, 2 photos, 3 countdowns, 2 eggs, and 1 WISH, your total image count is 9, or triple the allowed number.

Remember, if you add any type of Holiday decorations to your signature, it all counts toward 3-image maximum.

Unfortunately, if you turned your four photos of your kids into one photo, then that one photo would be too big (if they were the same size.).

Your filesize might also be too big, you might want to add them all up.

How can I turn the four photos into one small photo??? Can any of my DIS computer know it alls help me out at all with this?? Thanks for the compliments...I guess I'll keep 'em. (meaning the kids...LOL)
