Testing Air Tran & Luggage?

So I read the post re: DME testing with Air Tran and allowing luggage to be checked at certain resorts, this started 12/19

Did anyone use it for that, and if so, how did it go, and do we know yet if there going to roll it out permanently and to all the resorts?

On Jan 2, we tried to use it for an AT flight back to IND but the check-in desk at BCV was unable to connect to AT and that it was 'down' all day. Of course knowing this is a pilot program I just took the luggage to the bus and checked it at MCO (not as convenient and a little busy but workable)

Now if someone would only improve the efficiently of claiming luggage...
I don't know of other airports but IND baggage claim involves looking at the carousel then nudging through 8-10 people to grab your bag before it returns behind the wall!!! Finally, I ended up watching the carousel near the beginning then yelling at my daughter to be ready to grab it near end.

Perhaps when IND gets their new terminal a 2008-9, buggage claim will be breeze...here's to hoping

Anyone else use Air Tran recently??? If we can check the luggage, this will change what we do the day of departure, as we don't fly out until 5:00!!
