test---trouble starting a new thread

When creating a new post, just make your title one word. When it posts go back and edit the title. That seems to work for most people.

safetymom, that's exactly what ended up working, thanks! weird because this thread started fine even though it had more than one word in the title. lol. go figure.

but if you only use one word, it will take you to the test thread that has been active since july 04.

No if you use a one word title and have your message you can edit the title when the message posts with no problem.

I have had sporadic problems with this for about a month. I can't figure out why it will let you post very small threads but not longer ones.

Ever since the boards were upgraded last week I haven't been able to start a new thread. I received the error message saying my message was short 1 character. I tried your suggestion of just posting one letter in the title but it didn't work. I e-mailed the admin but they don't know how to fix the problem. I contacted tech support last night and am awaiting their response. Hopefully this prolem will be resolved soon. It sucks not being able to post new threads.

I had the same problem...I went to my user options and changed the type to simple or whatever it is, so its text only to create my new posts. After that I was able to post.

I was able to post after I did this also.
