Test Track to Lightning McQueen's Test Track

With the end of their sponsorship contract with Chevrolet approaching soon (about 2 years from now), could Disney be considering an overlay for the ride based on Cars, but, of course, without the exterior part? This would start after Guardians of the Galaxy and Play Pavilion open. Could that work or even be true?

Disney and GM have a good relationship I think an extension would be in order. Even with the IP infestation of Epcot, Cars doesn't make much sense.

I could see it, but I would hope that a larger refurb would be included. I feel like the current version hasn't held up as well as the original version... also Cars is built around these large exterior environments. I think we have a better chance of seeing a cars land in the studios... they already have the racing academy out there.

I would welcome any theme change to TT IF AND ONLY IF they change the route and effects of the indoor portion too. I actually prefer the original as at least the ABS test portion of the ride made sense - No idea what they are getting at with the current themeing other than, hey, cool lighting.

While I prefer rsr to tt you can’t do it right where it is. Don’t think it would work where the ride is. You can’t remove the exterior part of the rise and you can’t really tetheme it where it is.

i think a refurb and keep the ride based on testing cars is best.
