Is there a minimum age to use this line? I know that age 14 is the age required to ride with those under 14. Thank you.

My DS did it as an 8 year old. Nobody blinked an eye. I ended up in the car behind him, and his older brother (17) in the car in front of him. we did this on purpose so someone would be waiting when he got off the ride ( not that he would have cared but it made me feel better)

Nobody blinked an eye because your 8 year old met the age requirement. You must be at least 7 years old to get in a single rider line.

Bumping to ask a related question, hopefully that is okay...

Can I wait at the exit w/o riding TT for my 7yo son (he will be w/my husband and they will both be riding the Single rider line) in case he gets separated? Is there a specific place that I can wait if not?

Assuming you are not going into the line with them, you can wait in the Chevy Showroom where the ride lets out. Just go in through the gift shop and past the games and car design stations. I think there's usually a Corvette facing right where the riders come off, so you can hang out there. Some Chevy personnel may try to sell you that Corvette though. Now that's one heck of a souvenir!

Thanks very much, that's exactly the info I needed! (I'll be waiting there w/my 5yo daughter, so I'm sure she'll have a blast.)

If your daughter wants to play the games, she can. There are car design stations (they're for the ride, but anyone can do it) where the car can be saved to a Magic Band (or park ticket), then a little driving game where I think you can load your car and drive it around, and one where you can make a Chevy commercial (with your car) and email the video to yourself. The games are kind of further from right where the ride lets out, but it's one big funnel so they would have to pass through there.

Also, FYI, if you're doing Mission: SPACE, it's the same deal. Go in through the gift shop and there's a great little games and play area. All riders will pass through this on the way out, but kids seem to like it more than the ride.

I rode Test Track via single rider line with my son several times when he was 7 and 8. I would always let him go first and ask to wait for me at the end of the ride. Probably for adult to go first makes a bit more sense if you think logically (there is nowhere else for the kid to go but to the next available car) but I prefer it this way.

Good to know, thanks! I believe that my husband will be going w/him while I wait w/our daughter (who will be too short at time of travel) at the end. But it's good to plan in case him/adult go there on their own at some point during the day.

I have very short kids and my 4 year old was tall enough on our first trip! Double check!

When my daughter was younger we always had a designated meeting spot for rides I couldn’t handle. Typically it’s right at the exit where they can’t miss you. Never had a problem.

Thanks, you are right! My 4 yo just hit 40" and we aren't traveling till October (she'll be 5 by then). Excited for her to try it and will get FPs for her/adult.
