mic - you're right, at that age they can kev-itch about anything they want to...and they usually do . I'm just glad my mom's feeling well enough to complain & go to PT. My trip for next month is still on (sorta holding my breath; think that will continue for some time)...

We leave around BWI around 3 ish....I'll be checking in most of the time, we will just be hanging with the family, no big plans, other than my quick weekend retreat to LA, and then we are going to see the Red Sox play the D-Backs on the 9th. Head home on the 11th...

mic - gives you lots of time to decide what to pack; nothing better than hangin with your family...lot forward to lots of grandkid stories. The soap weekend sounds so cool, i've never heard of such a thing...neat. Is DH participating too?

oh yeah...if the Rats beat the Erie Freeze tomorrow afternoon on their home turf as bad as they did last week in Erie's house ; they'll be going to the playoffs baby!!!!!!!! GO RATS

i'm not too excited some other team might have to lose too, foggy on the details...just wanted to dream a little lol.

No, dear hubby won't be tagging along to LA. There are a lot of us going from a soap board that I post on...it will be fun to put faces with names. It is quite a mixed group, from younger gals to gals my age. We are pretty much rolling in from all over the place too. I believe I'm the furthest east coast that is attending. I'm not sure if any New Englanders are going or not. The gal I'm rooming with is coming from Tennessee...The ladies in charge of running it all are located in Georgia. My husband thinks I'm nuts, so I don't think he would enjoy the weekend...LOL...but he is cool with it, he just likes to torment me over my little pleasures. I've NEVER done any sort of event like this before, so I'm considering it an adventure in my old age. Ya know, one of those things you might never do again.

Ok, I'm practically falling asleep sitting here, so I'm off to bed. It's chilly here this evening........gonna pull the covers up tonight.

how about american idol, shocker there; not sorry to see her go -thought Melinda had such a fakey personality. Q for the experts; didn't really watch much the last season or so....since when did they allow "pros" to compete? Thought the intent was more of an amatuer hour; or is that not the focus?

keisha, as long as the contestant has not released a cd for sale and signed with a record company, they are considered amateur. kelly clarkson wrote and received songs and had them put on a cd for her mom 6 seasons ago.
once she was in the final 10, AI investigated if she was "pro". since it was for her mom and no contract signed when she recorded she was able to stay in the contest.
constantine had a band but they were not signed with an agent or company so he was able to stay in the contest. this was season 4

That's who is going to remove the remaining spot so he can go in deeper in the area. I guess the dermatologist felt it was better that way.

I think the girl can sing, but she doesn't fit the image to me of what the show is promoting. I really though Blake was the goner this week though. It will be an interesting finale also.

Ed - what are your weekend plans?

Bob - was this the last bowling weekend? Did you watch everyone else get the trophy?

Keisha - I hope the rats win!! The playoffs would be exciting!!

Pam - when are your kids out of school?

Mic - I can't believe how soon your trip is coming up!! And what do you mean you have never sone that before. I believe you flew to Disney to meet up with a bunch of people you have never met. You had some pretty amazing roomates too. Oh and you went to Baltimore to hang out with a few people you never met as well. But see, it all ends up being a blast.

Mac - My cousin Jenny and I were just talking about the lawn being mowed. She asked me since Lee was being so helpful if he was going to move back in. I said, "well, I've been dealing with this blood in my urine for 9 weeks and I am the one still mowing the lawn." She agreed with me, he is better as a part time dad.

Mac - I hope everything is working out for your family.

Gant - I am so glad you have been around lately!!

I guess what I really meant was not that I hadn't gone and met and roomed with people I didn't really know before, but more that I had never gone to a Soap Opera event before, something rather frivolous for me to do Oh, I had the bestest roomies on the gal's trip to Disney and the Baltimore trip, well, that roomie fell asleep while I was talking to her, what can one say Luv ya Pam So, as far as the meeting new people, and having unknown roomies, I'm all good with that, and once I've done this event, I'll probably be ready to do it again!!

Off to get my hair cut, gotta run.......see ya later. I'm going to basket bingo this afternoon also. Hope I win

ocm - glad you're up & about, what sorta pie we having? I haven't had pie since Xmas - pumpkin i believe.

Big dinner out again tonight - Burger King...bring on the transfat! Only lost 1-1/2 pds on the 3 day diet this week...and i skipped the ice cream I was allowed 2 days too . Wonder if you have to eat EVERYTHING on it for it to work? sure hope my metabolism didn't figure a way around it already.

Home at last........whew, I haven't pulled an all-dayer in some time....

GO RATS...... just in keeping with the sports theme

I left the house at 9 for my hair appt., did that, went to Sam's, returned something to the mall and came home...was here for about 1.5 hr. then took off to basket bingo.....AND DAMNIT, I DIDN'T WIN A THING....I bingo-ed one time, but it was with someone else, they called a tie breaker number and of COURSE, the other person won.......waaaaaaaaaaaaaaa.... left there and stopped at Wal-Mart on the way home...so now I'm beat...

Very pretty day here, but windy and cooler......but oh so nice

No worries Mac, no Britney do for me, got my color refreshed and she trimmed me up...it is longer (although still a shorter do) then I've had it in a long time. It's been growing out since Sept...with trims along the way. My hair doesn't seem to want to ever get long.

Ok, off to watch a little TV I think, get in my jammies and relax. Now tomorrow will be spent getting done.....blech......there is a price to pay for running around all day. I paid $3.17 for gas today... I only got like 9 gallons and it was around $30 bucks.......man, pretty soon, I'll have to just quit driving anyplace but work and run errands all in one day......

KS, I watched ER this morning... YIKES...poor Ray, that was sure a surprise. I figured he would have amnesia or something, guess that was too mundane for the show. Guess Neela is gonna get trampled also, and Gates will help her. Luca going off to Croatia...man, can't they let a couple have more than a couple days happiness before ripping them apart?

mic - yep, ER was a shocker - even for them i like ray. Never heard of basket bingo; sounds fun. That must have been a very short haircut to still be growing out 8 months later...sure it looks great!

KS, my hair was short, I wore it kinda "tousled" all over....plus my hair grows at a snails pace, well except when it was real short, and it seemed like I was constantly having to get it trimmed up, but that is what happens when you have that sort of style....it needs maintaining. The back and sides are now all one length. Its about at my lower ear I guess....I've not had lengthy hair since I got married...I got it cut shortly thereafter and have had all sorts of short cuts in between...even did the curly perm, just let it dry, pick it out and go, for awhile when it was "in". It was easy, but now when I think about it.......

GO RATS.........good for them..........

evening all!

back from the all weekend tourney. We ended up getting 2nd place. the kids played 1 game friday night, 2 games yesterday and 3 games today. I am proud to say that trent had 2 doubles and had a whole bunch of rbi's today

I am beat and fried.....need to run out and get a few groceries and then i think i am going to call it a night...the sun tends to wear one out.
