Good Morning everyone.

Jan 18th Julie's Trip is Complete
We decided to go watch Turtle Talk. Julie had a question all prepared and she was ready to go. Nico knew that if he was called on, he needed to give the Microphone to Julie, since he had gotten to talk to Crush 3 times already this trip. Lee said he wanted to go back to the hotel for a little bit, but he would meet us over there.

The first show came and went, and Crush didn’t call on Julie who now had her hand raised through the entire show. Right at the end, she stood up and started crying. Then Samantha started crying.:sad1:

“I need your help, I can’t take them both, “ I was turning to explain to Tony, who was already up and heading to grab Sammie. Thank God for Tony, I thought, as I grabbed Julie who was flailing her legs and crying.

“Do you want to try this again?” I asked Julie.

“I promise you Julie, you will get to talk to Crush, I will make sure of it. Stop crying and I will be sure you get to talk to him.” Tony was telling her.

She calmed down and we got in line again. Tony went to go talk to a CM about getting Julie called on. The CM explained that there was no way to guarantee that. Then, another CM came up and asked if the kids wanted to help do the countdown for Crush. They all agreed and they were excited.:woohoo:

“What are their names so I can announce them?” The Cm asked me

“Nico, Julie, and Samantha “ “And where are you from?” She asked again.

“Atlanta,” Nico told her excitedly.

“I’m not Julianna , you silly goose.” Julianna said laughing. “I’m princess Tyrone.”

“Oh my,” :rotfl: I said looking at Tony. All he could do was shake his head and laugh. Now, when crush comes and talks to the kids, he generally picks on the first seat in the front row of where the kids sit on the right-hand side. So, I started to sit the kids right there so that Julie would talk to Crush.

When they had to get up to do the Countdown for Crush, they lost their spots. “Hello everybody,” the CM was saying. “This is Nico, Julianna, and Samantha from Atlanta and they are going to help countdown for Crush to come. After they count to three, they will call Crush. Ready?”

“, 1, 2, 3, Hello Crush!!” Nico and Julie shouted as Samantha just stood there. She really is a shy two year old. They found other seats and when it was time to ask questions, Crush picked Nico.

“Come on Nico, give the mic to Julie,” I was whispering. I think Tony was whispering something to that effect too.

Nico hadn’t said anything since getting called on. The moments seemed to go by longer and longer until Crush asked him if he forgot his question. He nodded and the CM took another kids question. I was so disappointed, until I saw Nico’s face as he turned around to look at me. :guilty: He felt awful. He was so upset with himself, I couldn’t be mad. He ran back to me
almost in tears as he snuggled up to me. I kissed him and told him it was ok.

In all fairness to Nico, he had been told a few different things. We all had told him to give the microphone to Julie. Lee, Tony and I had all said that. But Lee also had told him that he should have asked Crush is he was a member of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles. It would have been a funny question, but I think Nico wasn’t sure what to do when he got called.

When the show was over, Julie started crying, which set Samantha off again. WE grabbed the two girls and we walked out to get back in line a 3rd time. At this point, Lee finally showed up. Tony said he wasn’t going to go into this show. He was Crushed out. It was almost time for Illuminations, it was the one show I hadn’t seen. I decided to leave Lee and Tony and I went to watch the Fireworks. We were waiting for the fireworks to start, and
I called Lee to see what happened with Julie.

“Julie is talking right now, “ Lee whispered. “Ok great” I said as I hung up the phone.

A huge relief was off my shoulders. My baby had gotten the one thing she had asked for this trip. :wizard: After the fireworks, I met up with Lee to walk him back to the Hotel and get the kids settled.

“So what happened?” I asked Lee

“Well, the first show we did, none of them got picked.” He said

“Did she freak out?” I asked Lee wondering how he dealt with that since he had to deal with Julie and Sammie who always started crying once Julie started.

“No actually, Julie was sad, but it wasn’t a full tantrum. Samantha was the problem. She is so conditioned to running to you crying after the show, she started running back before I even had a chance to catch her. “ He was saying,.

I tried not to think about my 2yo running all around a theater looking for me and not being able to find me and focus on the positive. Julie got to talk to Crush!!:cool1:

“Ok, so anyway, we got into the theater and we all sat on the floor. And before Crush said anything Julie had her hand raised. So finally, when he went to go talk to the kids, he said, ‘Oh ok, I’ll pick this girl since she already has her hand raised. What’s your name little girl?’ Julie waited a bit then said, ‘Julianna.’ Then Crush said, ‘Can I ask you a question Julianna? Do you like to Swim?’ She didn’t answer for a while then she said, ‘I like Karaoke’ and everyone was laughing you know.:rotfl: So then Crush said, ‘Karaoke? Is that anything like swimming?’ Julie didn’t say anything and Crush said, ‘cause if it is, I like Karaoke too.’ And everyone was laughing.” :rotfl2: We were all listening intently as Lee continued,

“So next, Crush asked her who brought her and she said ‘my daddy’ so you know of course, Crush did his bit with me too.” Lee was all smiles as he was remembering the show. :teeth: I think

he really had a great time with the kids and I was really sorry I had missed it. “Then, Crush was asking questions and he picked Nico. He asked Nico what people did at the beach and things, but he was asking Nico very specific questions, so he didn’t get a chance to ask him the other question. But you know, “ Lee continued, “after it was over Julie was jumping up and down shouting and smiling ‘I talk to Crush I got to talk to Crush.’”:cheer2: :cheer2:

I was so happy for Julianna and as much as I was sad that I missed it, I was glad Lee didn’t miss it. He never really gets bonding moments like that with the kids, and I was glad he had the opportunity to share that with them.:thumbsup2

WE left and Tony offered to take me to Downtown Disney to get something to eat while Lee took the kids back to the room. I helped Lee get the kids to bed and I went out for some food. Now, it was about 9:30pm when we pulled away from the hotel.

"Where do you want to go to eat?" Tony asked, "I know you are hungry and I would like to see you eat something since you haven't eaten in 2 days." "Why did we go to that restaurant anyway. Lee knew you were hungry and he knows you don't eat there." He asked.

"It was rely the only thing they had available," I explained. Then, I decided to answer his question, "I really don't care where I go to eat. I'm so tired, you can decide, I can't even think."

We pulled back into the Boardwalk and Tony woke me up. "Hey, are you going to be ok walking back up to the hotel?" He asked.

"I don't know, I thought we were going to eat." I said, not really caring that I hadn't eaten anything because I was so damn tired.

"Well, I drove out of the parking lot. I took a left towards downtown Disney I looked over and you were asleep. I tried to wake you up and ask you where you wanted to eat and you responded, 'I need more covers'. So I made a Uturn and brought you back here." :lmao: He said.

"Ok, that sounds nice." I said.

Eventually, he got me out of his car and I walked up to my room. "What are you doing back here so soon?" :confused3 Lee asked.

"I don't really know." I said yawning. "When I fell asleep we were driving out of the parking lot and when I woke up we were driving back into the parking lot. I'm so tired, I don't care. I just want to go to bed."

That was the last thing I remember.

Morning all!

Harold was great!:thumbsup2 I wish we would have taken the boys to see him....they could have gotten alot out of it. He speech was.....Greatness deosn't come from osmosis. It is something we have been telling trent for a long time, but to hear someone like him say it could mean something for him. If he is ever here again we will take the boys to see him.

He did comment about his deal with espn. nothing in detail but just that he doesn't know who he is really married to until something like this happens and she is sticking by him. He did tell dave that he hopes to be back on t.v. soon.

He did throw out a few names: Garth Brooks, Derek Jeter:goodvibes , Ricky Henderson, Michael Jordan.....it was interesting. He did give the homerun baseball club a few signed baseballs and bats to auction off. He also said that Ken Griffey Jr. would give a personalized jersey. The baseball club had to have a great night and i think they raised ALOT of money!:cool1:

mic-- so you aren't getting another van? I can see you in a little sports car;) decisions decisions...i hope you make one that is right for you!

ocm--great trip reports:thumbsup2

ed--beeaaaauuuuttttiiiiffffuuuullllll!!! Did you finish up your classes???? Now maybe you can come and play with us more.

Well, i'm off.....i need to go and shower to get ready for trent's butt whooping today.

Have a good saturday everyone!

ed - beautiful pic, where is it? i've missed the pic of the day's.:thumbsup2

pam -glad you had a good time, i don't think i've ever heard of the gent. Nothing like a good, old-fashioned butt-whipping to build charactar.;)

mic - out car shopping?

ocm - those GA peaches freeze yet? My DS always got picked for Crush, he now hides in the back...think it had something to do with the Stitch hat he wears (the one that looks like Stitch is eating his head)...gets lots of attention from CMs.

it's 4 degrees here, DS & his buddy who slept over last night tromped off to go sled riding...i give them an hour tops. Off to brew up the hot chocolate:hug:

ks--your weather sounds like our weather!! It was a whooping 3 degrees this morning...now it says it is upto 10! It is suppose to be beolow 0 for the next week!

Trent's team got beat again...big suprise I know....trent did play really well though...problem is..they only have about 2 other players on the team that is aggressive and knows what is going on. I am hoping they get 1 win out of the season.

Of to think about taking a nap:rolleyes: i feel like being lazy today:upsidedow

pam - sorry to hear about the game, better luck next time!

ocm - so funny how 'tyrone' refers to herself in the "royal we" terminology;)

here kitty, kitty, kitty, kitty...

munchkin.jpg
how'd you like to have to feed that monster? Even worse, litter box duty:eek:

/
Sorry to hear about the game Pam. I was glad Keisha had never heard of that guy either. I was begining to think I was the only one.

Keisha - hope your son had fun sleding.

It's cold here, mid 40s I think. I can't complain seeing as a lot of you have gotten snow.

I was so hoping that Julie wasn't going to announce that she was Princess Tyrone to all of the people sitting at Crush. Thank god the CM introduced them instead.

Mic - hope you are having a great day today.

Hey ed...i forgot to tell you that i thought of you the other night. Dave and I went to our new wal-mart and there was a car parked there with the license plates that said McCann.

Were you in Nebraska and didn't visit me????:confused3

Evening friends....so sorry for not popping in this morning...but as soon as I got up, it seems like I got sucked back into the online search for vehicles, made some phone calls tryng to seek some better pricing, went back and forth, finally just told the guy at our place I was coming over, so be ready:goodvibes I started out looking at a Mazda 6, and she was a honey, then I test drove a Mazda 3, which was smaller and sporty, but I just couldn't get into the whole smaller car thing (ya know me and my van:) ), so we found a Mazda Tribute in the used cars...it is an 05 with only 8800 miles on it...has leather interior and a lot of little bells and whistles...SO for about $800 more than the cute car, I got something more akin to my van, bigger engine, and a lot more vehicle. They gave me another $500 off, the finance guy seemed to like me, (now this is karma, I out of the blue put on my gold Mickey Mouse pendant today, and the finance guy notices and starts talking Disney, & he LOVES DIsney) so he got a little bit better interest rate for me and when I refused all the extra stuff cause I said money was an issue, he got the extended warranty for me, (after the original runs out in 2 yrs.) for only $4 extra per month. THEN, this man is walking back by the finance cubicles (they are small, guess they want you to feel the squeeze right off the bat ;) ), he smiles, I smile, he says hello, I say hello, I sit down and he pops his head in the door and hands me a busines card that he has written on "this is for free oil changes for a year"........come to find out it is his family that owns the place, and he told me that people rarely act as nice as I did or smiled when signing papers...LOL...so he was going to do something nice for me... So I feel like all your good karma came my way today, thank you my friends:grouphug: The payment is a tad higher than I wanted, but......I'll figure it out. Here is a link to what it looks like, same color too...

Pam, isn't Harold a nice looking guy? Very tall. Glad you enjoyed him. KS, and Momma, he used to be on Baseball tonight on ESPN, and also always did the Little League World Series, plus he was a former big league player. He was accused of sexual harassment on the job and fired by ESPN. It all was rather hush-hush, so who knows if it was true or what. I always liked him and was very happy the day we met him at DisneyLand.

So, I'm about to try to do taxes......... Hope my karma holds out for them too

Ed, glad you dropped by with a rise, we have missed you:hug:

That cracks me up....Tyrone...:lmao:

KS, got those superbowl wings done yet? I'll be over...I'll zoom zoom up in my new wheels.......:drive:

P.S. I'm really a true working gal now, I went and bought my car all my myself!! Hubby didn't come along, my ds and girlfriend drove me over....I feel so grown up....LOL

Congrats on the new car and the great deal :thumbsup2

I got floor tickets today for Tool :yay: Its in Corpus. Im taking Michael and Matthew.

My little ones are playing ball now. Evan is playing AA machine pitch and he is on the Braves.

Im still waiting on Connor's info. First I signed him up for competative T-ball but then decided I wanted him switched over to the mini t-ball. He will be one of the youngest out there so might as well start off slow.

Hooray for Mic!:car: how empowering for you:cool1: , you go girl:thumbsup2 . Very shap looking set of wheels. No excuse not to make it into work during a snowstorm now.:lmao:

Deena - don't know much about that band, bet my boys do;) . Sounds like this puts you in the running for Grooviest Mom.:cheer2:

pam - bundle up, we're flipping a coin to see who has to run out for the paper tomorrow.

feel bad for DH, he's working 4-12 next week and it's going to be sub-zero temps (good thing i got him that Under Armor heat gear stuff, even if he said he didn't want it).:rolleyes1

ocm - 40's, i wish it so here lol...i hate winter.

Mic that is AWESOME!! I love that SUV. If I was ever going to choose one, that would be it. Good for you for buying yoru own car. That's wicked cool.

Deena - I'm sure your kids will love baseball/T-ball! That is great news about Tool too. I hope you guys have a great time!

Keisha - I'm so sorry for your DH. I HATE being cold...poor guy. Better him than you or me though.;)

Pam - did you have a good nap?

I'm so cold, I'm off to get under the covers....well the karma didn't last...taxes...we OWE...we have never owed...all that damn payout etc. last year when dh left his job, they didn't tax enough, so now we are paying the price...:sad1: Once again, we'll figure it out

Night all, see ya tomorrow..

Deena, baseballl time

i did have a good night...now i can't go to bed:confused3

mic--congrats on the new wheels...that blue is the color of my tahoe! The only bad thing about it is that it shows the dirt...bad! I'm sorry to hear that you owe on your taxes...i'm crossing my fingers that our taxes will be good this year.

Think i am going to go and lay on my heated matress pad...it is freakin' freezing here!

Night all!

Hi everyone. Sorry I've been AWOL from the thread. Hope you all have a great Super Bowl Sunday.

Morning Gigantor....we've missed you, how was the trip?

Pam, I LOVE my heated mattress pad...just enough heat without smothering you...I usually turn it off by morning unless it's really, really cold.

I did not sleep well, so I'm preparing for a nap here after a bit...I watched TV almost half the night as I couldn't get to sleep..caught up on a couple shows I tape, so it was at least entertaining being awake all night:goodvibes

:woohoo: Superbowl Sunday:banana:

I'm the lone hold-out for Dungy's troops in my house.

got my mile in on the treadmill, now i can pig out all day on the munchies;)
we've all got heated mattress pads:cloud9: , especially like the dual controls so DH can pump up the volume and I can just be lightly broasted. My DS luv them too.

mic - i had a friend who was in a similar situation (she quit her job & didn't roll over her IRA); the IRS was very generous in the payment plan they set up...shocked they were so accommodating. Perhaps they were just happy to get paid at all?:confused3 Kuddos for being such an optimistic person!

Rats...the River Rats lost their 1st game:sad1: ; can't get cell phone coverage in Mississippi for some reason to call DS. After a 14 hour bus ride back home & then another hour + to his apt. think he'll be a mite cranky:rolleyes1 ; I may just wait to phone him until tomorrow.

morning all!

did my duty at sunday school this morning.

gant--we do miss you...hopefully you can come back and play with us soon.

ks--who are you rooting for again? If i watch the superbowl it will be for the commercials as i am not a huge football fan:confused3

mic--i had my matress pad on 8 all night last night. I love being toasty warm.

where has our mac gone????

I am off to eat lunch and then go to noah's game.

Hope everyone has a great sunday!

I'm rooting for the Colts. While Payton Manning isn't as cute as his brother, he is still handsome in his own right.;)

Keisha - way to go on your treadmill!! You can eat anything you want tonight.

Mic - I think your last post is way too funny. Saying how much you love your matress pad and how terrible you slept. I know it was two different things, but it reads funny.

Gant - please know we think of you daily. You are missed.

Ed - one rise does not satisfy us gals. Keep 'em coming.:cool2:

I hope everyone has a great Sunday.
