any relative that gives their time to your kids, is a blessing.
they are worth their weight in gold.
better yet, they are priceless.
my kids gparents were never interested in getting to know them.
they have favorite grandchildren but my boys figured that out when they were young.
they met them on a few occassions so they are not close. that makes it easier for them as they really don't know them.
and being all males, they just blow off the gparents issues.
they say the jell with them...
I would love to be close to spoil them and get them away from the other evil grandparents...LOL..
J/K...DIL is fortunate that her grandparents watch the kids for them and help out...(but they are a little whacko
)
, DS almost cried in church. When he got teary-eye'd I was right behind him but, held it together. I did lose it after the dance w/my son. Things really sunk in then I & crawled off to a dark corner & DH who was taking pics to cry...next thing I knew the photographer was busily snapping away @ that Kodak moment...what was she thinking? Other than that it was fantastic, no major glitches other than the crash not wanting to roll down the aisle.

Got in here yesterday and OCM got to safely to DC....
I'll let her tell you about waking me up at 3:00 a.m. before they left...
