Mac, the gal seemed very nice, she is pretty and oh so intelligent! We are not going to the movies til tomorrow...to see Pirates of course! After spending a little more time with her, I can form a better judgement. Usually, my first judgements are on spot, but I need a little more time. But of course, it is up to him whether she stays or goes, she isn't dating me...

Gant, you are so funny and I think you will fit in quite well with this bunch....

I bet you Dis Ladies that are going on the trip have a big AIM fest everynight...our gang here needs to set one up on a Friday evening, when everyone is around

Tried to follow instructions...but failed miserably, again LOL. Think my security's set far too high. Since my middle son has fried 2 computers w/downloads, it's a necessary evil. Anyway, wave to the family.

mic - Your icons are great, as usual. Rolling Rock is no longer made w/mountain water from Latrobe...it's being bottled w/tap water from Jersey. IMO, the mystery is now over. Always had to "baby" it anyway. Had a tendency to go skunky if it sat in the light, too high of temp, etc. My boys went out to eat & attended a Pirate game (they won - shocking!), came back hating each other. That male bonding always is the same

pam you bored yet w/no baseball action? We were sort of lost for a week or so once the season ended. Hope for a quiet weekend, DH still ripping out retaining wall & I'm overspending on eBay - same, old; same old.

mac - how long before you can determine kittie gender? I had what they called "secondary infertility" when I tried for more children after a long lull. Other than youngest DS all I've got to show for my many attempts is an envelope full of sonograms...disturbs me greatly, told DH to toss them or put them where I won't find them. He can't bear to part with them. Glad I do have 3 healthy sons, who fight like cats & dogs.

for kitties, you can tell kind of at 3 weeks. development is better after 4 weeks.

if we are talking babies, i had sonograms one all of them four times each.
spaced out from 12 weeks, 18 weeks, 24 weeks and at 34 weeks. i was what they called an older mom and had complications from the start on all of them. preecampsia or however it is spelled and edema, had to stop work in the 7th month.

2 were determined for sure at 18 weeks but that was because the postion was in the right spot at the time, last was at 24 weeks , they weren't sure earlier due to the umbilical cord. the miscarriage, we never knew.

if i didn't answer yur question correctly, repeat it for me.
i have only had 5 cups of coffee so far.

Morning KS....in regards to pictures, after right clicking your mouse, click properties...then highlight the url or address...when you bring it over here, did you click the little yellow box above this that says "insert image" and then click the address in that? I think if you got to the red x you are doing it almost correctly. Sometimes also, the image you pick has a whacky address and won't show up, hence the red x...oh please, I want to feel like the know-it-all today, try again! Also, lots of times when url has to be in the jpg format or it won't let you copy it......no expert here by far! I'm still amazed by computers.....not what I grew up with, that's for sure.

Aren't the bonding traditions between brothers so lovely Yep, mine live 2000 miles apart, and can manage a feud while instant messaging, now how is that for brotherly love?? They always have gone tooth and nail with each other though, it is in them I think. Deep down they love each other (or so I've convinced myself) and perhaps its good they live apart..LOL..I agree, healthy is what it's all about and hopefully, happy!

I read someplace that Bud bought Rolling Rock......hmmm...debunking that whole Latrobe water myth I actually drank a Miller Lite last night, it was so hot here, and dh had put it in a cooler with ice, so it was ice cold and tasted darn good....but then that explains my wanting to go to bed at 10 p.m. and falling promptly to sleep...not a party gal anymore

Ok, came up to get dressed, so that I must do.......I'll be around later on this evening for sure..off to my boring life that is how exciting I am

I hope so too mac, he deserves a nice gal....he has never had luck with the "ladies" so to speak for one reason or another, and I think this gal just clicks with him on his "level"...as I say, she appears quite intelligent and he is quite intelligent also, I always call him my "horse of another color" so .......... they may be a match!! And just to add: I have no idea how he got so intelligent, cause his parents are doh's most of the time.......

Doesn't your oldest son have a girlfriend mac? I thought you said he brought her home or they went someplace? Refresh my memory on that one...is the "one" for him? Or are we tp'ing her house in the middle of the night

mic - missed the update on meeting DS's friend. How's your mom senses tingling, yea or nay? I've got a fairly good track record @ spotting the bad 's in the bunches my DS have brought home. I can smell a hussy a mile away.

I'm not too fond of beer, in general but, when it's hot - they can hit the spot. Draft beer is even lower on my food chain , however Michelob drafts are tasty! Pondering a pitcher of margaritas tonight - yee-haw! Youngest DS has a bd party to attend have to pick him up @ 10:00 p.m. - sort of messes up that plan.

mic, the oldest son has a lady friend and he calls her his girlfriend but he is not serious about her.

he never stays long with a girl except the one he gave his heart to 4 years ago. it fizzled and he still longs for her.

i couldn't stand her but never told him that.

Hi ladies, it appears we are the only ones about today.....

Got errands done, it was so humid and hot......eek...got my hair cut and was off and running. Had to go to Toys R Us to get the little munchkin a birthday gift, and I went for the Pirates...I had fun raiding the booty and picking out some neat toys. I do sometimes miss buying that stuff except for the holidays, and just looking at all there is out there for kids today. By the amount of people in the store though, everyday must be a holiday, as there were lots of kids getting lots of stuff.

Went to Sam's, did not want to stop at Wal-Mart, but had to to get a couple things I couldn't find..and I hate that, cause those couple things always turns into 50 bucks

Yep, had the mom radar set pretty high when I met the gal. She does seem nice and if we spend some time with her tomorrow, I'll have my final thoughts on the matter.....again though, she isn't dating me nor me her, so if ds is happy right now, so be it. See, I'm like mac, you can usually pickem and know when they are not "right". DS had a gal come stay with us from another state...and while she was nice enough, I just KNEW that she was not right for him..........he found it out on his own though...whew...thank goodness I didn't have to figure a way to break that up

Picked up some stuff for my MIL while at the store, so think I'll get dh to run me down to their house and drop it off. Maybe visit for a bit....today is gone, so no sense in trying to get anything done.

mic, i have only been on the aim 4 times total.
the first one was with a small group of getting to know each other.
the second one was about hhn.
the last 2 were both this week but it went too fast and i was over looked since it was a large group.

i 'm not doing aim with large groups anymore, its just not fun.

i would love to do aim with this group. anything over 8 people is too hectic and you get lost in the conversations.

we are going out to eat later tonight and then i will pm you to see where you are.
we used to have fab aim chats over a year ago here.

it would be swell to set up a couple times a week for aim chat for everyone in this group. that way, if someone can't make a certain day, they might be available for another time.

set up a poll mic.
or do it by pm. ask the gang which days of the week would they be interested in and have them pick 1st choice and 2nd choice.

when i started posting they were at about page 2000.

they made(suggested) that I read it all and summarize by month-to-month

i don't think i ever did that much work in high school!

You could take a week or so and read and play catch-up...you will find we are a fun, loving bunch of people...couldnt' ask for better friends than the bunch that hangs out here. We would love to have you join us in chat sometime...

Mac, if we can all hook up a little later, that would be nice...no biggie, just thought if we felt bored or insomnia strikes, we could hang out together. I agree, when you get a ton of people chatting it gets noisey...LOL...not sure when Pam will be back with us, she may be running around with her gal pals this evening

Yep, ds has gotten bit by the love bug I guess, they are together yet again this afternoon and going to watch dvd's this evening........

Did you find some nice solar lights. I haven't much of a place to put them, but think they are so cute, so I ordered a couple from Lakeside Collection, they were like $8.00 each, and they are like a little hanging lantern on a pole, so I stuck 2 of them out by my steps...they light up cute at night.

I sincerely doubt a teen will hang out with us too long, we are old and boring...the exceptions to being older are momma and jules I feel I'm over the hill at this point
