WAKE UP YOU SLEEPY HEADS..except for Mac, she can rest and try and feel better...we will tiptoe around you, so you can just take it easy...no need to ask for prayers, they are right there for you :grouphug: Maybe with the Mr. gone you can just lounge around, feel better and eat bon-bons......you know bon-bons always work :thumbsup2

Pam, we miss you too.............when everyone gets back in town, gets their computers fixed, and has 5 minutes, on a Friday evening we need to do one of our mammoth chats on AIM..... bring in the new folkes too and let them see us for "real" :lmao:

Gotta run........working 1/2 day today, dh and I have dentist appts. After yesterday at work, I'm ready for a 1/2 day........ :wave2:

This is for you mac

Morning!

ed - the tombstone is to die for:banana: , wonder if it'll go on sale?

I'm so cheap, finally convinced DH to dress up for MNSSHP as Capt. Jack (hubba-hubba), no way was I spending $100 on a cheesy costume. Went to Wal-Mart got the hat, some dreadlocks & beads - presto, $15 later...arrrrgh, where's the rum.
mac - hang in there, can only go uphill from here:thumbsup2

pam - go huskers!

btw, the reigning world champion Pittsburgh Steelers won the opening game of the season last night against Miami:goodvibes one down, 15 more to go. If you y'all missed them, they'll be on the 18th monday night game when they wallop Jacksonville.

mic - think you made the right choice @ works, sometimes the aggravation isn't worth the compensation IMO. I never cared for Tommy Lee's music, just enjoyed watching the drama...whatta charactar, interesting life to say the least.

Maybe if I'm good, my kids will teach me how to AIM...I'm so slow to catch on to anything computer related.

How about ditsy Lindsey Lohan getting a million $ or so of jewelry stolen @ heathrow airport off luggage cart? think I'd be clenching that bag under my arm:confused3

Hang in there Mac. Know that you are being prayed for by this big ole metal giant. :grouphug:

Hope everyone has a great day.

I was at the dentist Ed......then we did a few errands and ended up eating dinner out. When I got home, I got busy, I felt "crafty" this evening, so I picked up some silk flowers at AC Moore and "dressed" a couple of my Longaberger baskets.......whatddya think? Opps...after looking at the pic, I see I cut the top of the cat'o'nine tails off at the top :rotfl2: they do look real pretty in the arrangement though...pretend you see them :thumbsup2

I think I will take the larger one in for the reception area where I sit...the smaller one was an afterthought, and I think I need to pick up a little more "filler" stuff....I wasn't planning on doing 2, but I had bought too much for 1 arrangement and the smaller one is the leftovers... :rotfl: I haven't done anything like this in several years, so I hope it looks ok...I had fun doing it and whipped them both up in about 45 minutes. I may add a bow to the larger one also......dh will kill me if I ask him to go with me again, he set on the bench out in front of the store :goodvibes

Yep, you and I think alike KS, the compensation isn't worth the aggravation...cause the comp wouldn't have been enough to put up with the agrravatin' ;)

Mac, hope you are feeling better, I thought alot about you today...

Ed, take a pic of the graveyard when it is done...I bet it will look awesome. I just love fall.......from now til Thanksgiving is my favorite time of year.

Here is the photo of my ds at Bob's little Dude's age...Bob's picture so reminded me of this one.....sorry its fuzzy, I tried taking a photo of a photo in my scrapbook and can't just get it to work...... I have a couple others and tomorrow I'll try getting a better shot of them....

Well good morning my friends....have a wonderful Saturday :sunny:

I'm going to get moving and try and do something today, as we have a wedding this evening...it is outside and so far it is shaping up to be a nice day weatherwise for it

:wave2:

Mac sorry to hear you are sick. Hope it passes soon.

I was sick this week too but it was just a 24 hour thing--thank goodness.

We were up today and out of the house before 6:45 am. It rained during Evans game but atleast it wasnt 100 degrees out.

Team pictures are tomorrow.

Cute pic Mic. I know what you mean about taking a picture of a picture. When I tried to take some of my layouts before they were pretty blurry. Who would have thought it would be so hard :confused3

Deena, sorry you were under the weather too...seems like that is going around....glad though you are doing better.

Yeah, I think I was trying to take the pictures at night, with the glare of a light on the page, not sure...when I feel more spunky about playing around I'll try and post a couple layouts I've done...I've got one I know Ed will like from the Haunted Mansion in DL.

Yikes, 6:45 is early for you ;) what time does Evan play? Is it because of the heat? or do you have to travel to his games? Did he win is more important :thumbsup2 Guessing he is enjoying it

Jules, stop by and tell us how school is going :wave2:

P.S. love the picture of Steve you have in your siggie Deena, what a great guy...and great smile he had, very infectious

Our game is at 8am and our coaches want us there at 7:15. Today was an away game so we had to leave 30 minutes ahead of time to be there.
We tied. We did great and got 2 touchdowns right off the bat but then they got a couple, and it was raining so it was a little harder for our guys to get the ball. but atleast we didnt lose :)

Deena - had to look @ the crock 3 times before I realized it was faux (I need new glasses) crikey! Poor sad end to a live well-lived for Mr. Irwin, hope his kids are okay.

mic - great pic of DS:thumbsup2 they're always our babies, no matter how big or stinky they get.

My babies team got the tar kicked out them under the Friday Night Lights last night...gonna be another long season. Most of the kids on the team have never played football before (they're farm boys who's parents didn't make the time for youth sports. They even have to schedule their football camp for the evenings to accommodate the crops' harvest schedule). Lost their qb, got ejected for a late hit (bit harsh IMO, didn't appear deliberate to me).

going to spend the day landscaping...watching DH rip out over-mature bushes, he took out soom scroungy pine trees yesterday & planted my weeping cherry tree.

Hope you all have a great weekend...special thoughts to mac!

Football tales of winners and losers ;) all goes hand in hand in the sports world.

Deena, I'm sure Evan and his team were thrilled with the tie...it's everyone's win that way :thumbsup2

Sorry your son's team lost KS, but if they are just learning and coming together so to speak, they will hopefully learn from mistakes and work on playing better.....good luck next outing :cheer2:

Have fun landscaping......be a good superviser and don't treat the hired help :goodvibes shabby

I broke down and put the a/c on...it isn't really hot, but its humid and the house feels sticky...I can't do stuff around the house when I'm sweating bullets........this evening should be fine though.....

See ya later friends

boy is my back sore...I was ruthless, ripped out lots of beat bushes...now I can go & buy new ones.:rolleyes1

deena -btw, meant to ask you, do you remember when the member cruise went on sale last year for your upcoming trip (I'm thinking early Dec.?) Wonder if it's the same time every year? Glad someone's team did well. Texas is probably the only state outside of PA where HS football is the only game in town. Got a Jr. High game (middle DS coaching) to go to next Wednesday against our home team...sortof glad youngest DS wasn't released to play this year, would make for a tuff decision whom to root for.

mic - where'd you eat out last night? Think I'm too tired to cook, take out sounds good @ this point, even mcD's.

Got to cook a ham tomorrow...wonder if it would come out in a crock pot, too hot to fire up the oven?

KS, rest, take 2 aspirin and call me in the morning :goodvibes seriously, down a fruity cocktail and your back won't ache anymore :thumbsup2

We just went to a place called Pargo's...I know it is a chain, but not sure if it reaches up your way http://www.pargosrestaurant.com/pargosrestaurant/index.htm if you feel like checking it out...always a good meal, not over or under priced. I had a salad and French Onion, my usual meal deal and topped it off with iced tea...rebel ain't I?? :rotfl:

Well, gotta think about getting spruced up for the wedding tonight...dh is already grumbling about what to wear, and the fact that we even have to go....it is supposed to be informal and outside, so it should all go well. I was told they were going to do an American Indian type wedding :confused3 as the bride to be has American Indian heritage, and her father passed away a couple years ago from cancer (only 47) so she is doing it to honor him I guess...time will tell when we get there. The groom is our nephew that is the same age as my oldest ds.

:wave2:

mic - weddings are fun, especially themed ones, never heard of an Am. Indian one...long as you don't have to stick any feathers in your hair. I don't get many chances to get "gussied up" anymore now that I'm mostly a house-frau. When you were younger did you ever put a piece of wedding cake under your pillow...supposed to enable you to foresee who you'd marry...I just got cake in my hair.

Never heard of the chain, the decor looks:cool1: ; I could go for some onion soup w/toasted bread & cheese, yum...sounds better than fast food.

Youngest DS slept over friends last night, we could have gone out after game, I was just happy to get home & drink a hawaiian punch, DS did down a few Coors...I'm getting boring ;) enjoy your night out.

I cant remember when booking day was only that it was a saturday. I was in the chat room here on the dis with others trying to book which was a huge help. That way you knew what others were hearing like a recording or nothing at all and how long it took them on hold to get in but I got in early, calling right away and I got what I wanted 2 Cat 9's. It was actually cheaper than trying to get a Cat 4 that would hold 5 of us.

hi test buddies.

better late than never to come here..........

was able to sit up for an hour at a time today.
still have the vertigo, but not as bad as yesterday.

so mic is gushing up for a wedding....eat some cake for me.
keisha is being busy.........come clean for me..

deena 's son's team were winners.....well, tie is next best thing to winning the game. go deena's team....... :cheer2:

the boys are playing hooky.

the twins are painting and tony is there supervising.......... :teeth:

son left the house and i get to use MY computer. he leaves forever on monday morning. missing him already..unless he gets kicked out of mexico for being illegal there....if he doesn't get a job, he will have no other choice than to come home.
or, if his treatment for his medical condition is not better, he will have to come home.

i work on tuesday and wednesday, already booked those two days in august.
glad i have not worked yet. i did turn work down but had no choice being ill.

i'll come back later tonight.

i have missed you all and remember me in your prayers.

btw, i am going to church tomorrow. you all will be covered for another week. going to have someone pick me up if i am still dizzy.

thanx deena for the info, thought we might check it out for next years (sounds like you get lots of goodies), since we've already got a 4 day booked 12/07.

mac - :cheer2: hope you're on your way to quick recovery. I'll be in the pew tomorrow, will put in a good word for you.

Special wishes for your DS, didn't think mexico had a problem with illegals...is it hard to immigrate there? Have heard positive things about the medical community there as to different approaches...hope all works out a0k.
