my mom is freckled all over. even her feet.

when we were little kids, she would lie down with us to get us to take a nap. once we were, she would slip away and do her thing.

one afternoon, mom fell asleep and brothers and i didn't.
we took an ink pen and played connect the dots on her arms and face.



when she woke up, she beat us

All this time I thought children were the reward!

We tried for years for more kiddos, got pretty good @ it too , but only have 3 sons. I'm "fixed", do think impending grandma-hood may be around the corner sooner or later. spoil them rotten & send them on their way!

I don't know who turned on the dang heat!!!! it is 85 degrees here and it feels like 105!!! The big kids wanted to go outside and play at nap time so we will see how long they are out there for...i broke down and turned on the air.....i cooked in the oven and it was wicked hot in here!


you know, for some reason I knew ed and bob would answer the question of the day like that!

Here is what happened on the BrokeBack Mountain Bet


"What do you want to do now?" Asked Tony

"Uh..you have a bet to fulfill." I said sternly.

"Damn, you remembered. FINE, let's get this over with."

A backround on the bet. TVT and I had a bet going that he was SURE he was going to win. I knew he wasn't. But he was so sure, I bet him that if he lost, he had to watch BrokeBack Mountian with me. Needless to say, I was right and he lost. So I had rented the movie before I came down, to make sure I had it.

The BWV doesn't have DVD players in the stuidos, which I didn't know until I got there. Then, I asked if we could have an extra one from the lobby, and they said the TV's in the studios arent equiped to host a DVD player.

Jim had offered earlier that week a portable DVD player. But when we called to ask him if we could use it he said he didn't have a charger for it. At that point, we had figured that we were going to have to go to TVT's house to watch the movie.

We got to TVT's house and the girls werent quite ready to be quiet. I brought Miss Laura's DVD, do you want to see Pictures of Magic Kingdom?"I asked the girls.

"Oh, Magic Kingdom, that's great! Yes mommy, please." Julie said.

Tony and I and the girls watched the DVD slide show of all the lands of MK. The pictures were really good and the girls loved watching IASW and Peter Pan. Finally, it was time to put the girls down.

I put the girls in TVT's bed and we went out to the living room to watch the movie.

"I told you that if you fall asleep, I'm turning it off." He warned.

"I'm not falling asleep, put the movie in. You're not welching on this bet." I said laughing. I wasn't tired, he was just trying to get out of watching the movie.

He put it in and we were watching.

"Hey, are you sleeping?." He asked as he shook me.

"No, I'm not. Really, I'm watching, see they are both looking for work." I said earnestly.

I hear him again.

"Hey, you are sleeping." He said.

"I'm not sleeping," I said as I quickly glanced at the TV. "See, they were looking for work, they were going to be working with sheep and now they are taking a break and playing golf." I answered proudly.

"Uh..NO. That is a commercial, I turned the movie off 15 minutes ago when I realized you were SLEEPING!!!" He sounded exasperated.

"Oh My.." I couldnt stop laughing. "I guess you caught me" Still laughing.

"Come on, you're exhuasted and it's getting late. I'll drive you guys back to the hotel. It's getting late and I still need to drive myself back here." He said, still shaking his head at me.."They're playing golf" He muttered as he went to grab Julie.

I grabbed Sammie and we put them in the car and drove back to the hotel. I think I slept most of the way back to the hotel, but I did hear,

"no, no..I'm not sleeping, they're playing golf."

Hey you can't balme a girl for trying!

so, i'm back from noah's first game of the season and wouldn't you know....they won!! high scoring game too...19-15! We had a huge shortage of coaches though...seems our friends who is coaching with us came down with a bad case of food poisioning...so we recruited one of the dads and Trent coached bases while dave pitched and I kept the bench in order....hard job but someone has to do it

I don't snore, but I think my eyes closed was the indicator. I'm not entirely sure.


Anyway, I like Katherine, but based on last night Taylor should win. He was just better on two of the songs.

On a sie note, the dress that Katherine wore on her last song, not only made her butt look bigger than it needed to, but you could see her stomach fat.

Don't get me wrong, Katherine is beautiful, but wear a dress that compliments your figure. Otherwise, it's just BAD.
