Good Morning everyone

bob, greasy food always makes me feel better also......

beautiful pic ed............love it.

ocm, don't clean the house today.
it will only get dirty again sooner or later and all that work you put into it will all be in vain.............

Glad you are better Bob....eating and rest can do the trick! Hope all the other sickies are feeling better today...

I didn't get online much last night, after dinner and clean-up, I settled down to watch some TV and of course cat-napped off and on til finally I just said the heck with this and turned out the lights.

As we have some baseball fans on our thread here, I personally was very saddened to hear of Kirby Puckett's passing at such a young age.. :guilty: a most likely Hall of Famer too...

Also, Dana Reeve passing, just so sad as she was young too and leaving a young son who has been through so much sadness with his parents.

Sunny morning here, high 40's I'm guessing will be the temps today...think this week will pass quickly as several evenings this week I have stuff to do.

Mac, not speeding???? I find that hard to believe........... ;)

kirby puckett..........yes so sad.

his two sisters lived in zion and took the train to work with my hubby for some time.

one moved now to gurnee and the other someplace else near here.

kirby was very very good to his sisters and mom.

both girls were delightful. they would talk with pete about their brother and he would come here to visit a lot.

kirby started out at a junior college quit and did minor league.
he went up the ladder fast around here.
last i knew his mom still lived in the south side of chicago. she refused to move because she didn't want to leave her church.

hey mic............thought you were over sleeping

I saw that last night. :( I was semi-watching a basketball game (and semi-sleeping) and happened to look up and saw the news scroll across the screen. :( :( He was the second youngest Hall of Famer (he got in the HOF a couple years ago) to die, only Lou Gehrig was younger. :( :(

Morning all!

Yes, very sad indeed about Kirby Puckett! Also about Dana Reeve! I could not imagine what her son is going through right now..to lose both parents...oh how sad!!

glad you are feeling better bob! Noah stayed home from school today as it has not been 24 or even 12 hours since he stopped getting sick! Now as for me, I still feel yucky, but refuse to get sick! Got to much to do!

Okay, I am really getting nervous for my lasik!!! It is scheduled the 25th of march and they called me yesterday to tell me what i all needed to do before i get there....not contacts for a whole week!!!!! :guilty: I don't know if i can handle glasses that long!!! :confused3

pam don't worry about the lasik surgery. dh had it done twice.

it will last a good 3-4 years before you will need reading glasses.

you will love the new effect.

hey, hope you are going to be okay today. remember, don't get sick.

Bob, thanks for reminding me of Kirby already making Hall of Fame, I do remember that now, cause he was quite tearful and it was sad because of his eye condition etc. I know he got himself in some hot water with his marriage and woman .. but he sure was a team player and a rarity today, to stay with one team his whole career....RIP Kirby...I always enjoyed listening to him when they had him as a commentator on games...

That is neat mac about the sister's and his mom...seems like just a nice family all around, and he remembered where he came from...many of the super stars today seem to forget they put on their pants one leg at a time, just like everyone else does

Pam, you will be fine with your eyes, try not to fret too much. I would love to have it done, but the expense is the first detour and then I'm so squeamish with stuff around my eyes, I would have to get over that fear I guess, cause they say it doesn't hurt....but I envy you so getting it done :cool1:

I was watching this thing that i googled on lasik!!! I should have known better!! :sad2: I am sure i will be fine once it is done and be happy it was done, but I am a worry wart!!! I was telling the girl that i talk to yesterday that my brother told me if i didn't go blind that he was thinking about doing it...she laughed at me!! She did make me feel better though...and i came to a realization that it is only a couple of weeks away!

mac-- why did pete have to have it done twice? did he need an enhancement?

it is cold here today...it says it is 41 out, but it is very windy and feels like it is in the 20's!! YUCK!!

Pam - dont worry about the surgery. You'll be fine. Glasses for a week would suck! I'm suppose to wear glasses to drive at night or in the rain, but I never wear them. You'll do fine. After you tough it out with the glasses for a week, everything else will be a breeze.

yeah, not looking forward to the glasses part...i NEVER wear mine..just to basically watch t.v. before bed or if my contacts are bothering me! I hate glasses!!

I know alot of people that are suppose to wear glasses at night...that would stink too...i would always be forgetting them unless i left them in the car...i am very forgetful when it comes to that kind of stuff though!

Hey -- some of us survive just fine wearing glasses every day, all day. :thumbsup2

Granted, it's because I'm too much of a wimp to put my finger in my eye, so I don't wear contacts... :rolleyes1 :rolleyes1

SERIOUSLY!!!!! I thought everyone could do that! :confused3 :teeth: I have had contact since I have been in the 8th grade so some would say i could do it with my eyes closed! well not really...i guess you have to have them open to get them in!

I tried contacts sometime in High School -- it lasted about a month and I could never get used to putting them in and taking them out. That, plus all my allergies made for some really irritated, red eyes. I gave up on them and never tried contacts again. :smooth:

I'm sure you look awesome in your glasses. My glasses make my face look fatter. There is no need to enhance that look, so I refuse to wear them.

However, I've learned, that you really shouldn't mention to the passengers in your car the fact that you are suppose to wear glasses to drive.

Pam - I actaully do leave my glasses in the car. I would never remember them if they weren't arleady in there. They are in the bin on the door of the drivers side, in the case with dust all over it. :rotfl:

 I'm late in the day but I'm here for a few minutes! DH volunteered us to judge at the Science Fair at the close-by elementary school. It has been awhile since I have done that....

Sounds like everyone else is busy, busy, too.....!
