I don't know what i am going to do when i get my lasik done....they say you are not suppose to do computer work for 24 hours :guilty: I don't know....this isn't considered work though is it?

Just type with your eyes closed Pam...we'll all understand and decipher what you are saying/typing :thumbsup2 heck, I type with my eyes open and still make spelling/typing errors.... ;) :rotfl:

:rotfl: typing won't be the problem...well i'm not all that good at typing, i think the main problem will be seeing what everyone else types...i guess i can just wing it and tell you all what is on my mind! :teeth:

my dh had lasik done and he wasn't restricted from using the computer at all.

he came home after the surgery and went to bed for a couple of hours, the next day he could tell the difference. a few days later the full effect of the lakik was very noticeable to him.

you will like the way you can see better after the surgery pam

i don't even want to talk about the cable guy yet...........he came 2 hours late, spent over 1 hour working.........and 2 more comcast guys had to come help him.

after he left, i went to check out the lines, and they are crossed by the trees.
before it was by the side of the house and obvious, not just hidden by the trees.

i dread having to call them back out.

4 calls within 2 weeks.........and now another one........

I'm always thinking of my cyber-buds. Just had a busy day today. I took a vacation day to take DS 16 to the orthopedic Dr. He has to start physical therapy on the knee next week.

Then I went to the mayor's office to work on changing some town ordinances regarding prices the town charges for different services related to building stuff.

Then to the barbers to get my hair cut.

Then home to play with the little ones and as soon as they went off to la-la land, I sat down and did both my state and federal taxes.

I can't wait to get back to work tomorrow to get some rest!!! :rotfl2:

I am going to go to battle with the school tomorrow. I got a letter that my DS 7 has 10 unexcused absences and that there might be a chance that I could be fined for not making him go to school on a regular basis! I was livid to say the least and I drafted a letter right back. In September of last year I kept him home for 3 days. I got a letter from my niece (who happens to be a NJ board certified MD but she does not have a practice. (she now works in the research field) but she still retains her MD cert. The school office said there was no phone number for the physician so they would remain unexcused. I let it slide. 2 of the other days were for my mothers wake and funeral. I called the school and they said nothing about bringing in a form of documentation. I also told them that 4 days were for a vacation to WDW and they can declare them unexcused if they want but he learned more there than he would have at school.

The principal said he took the liberty of scheduling a meeting with me next week at 8:30 in the morning. In my letter back to the principal, I gave them my neices phone number so she can furnish them with her NJ state cert number. Once that is recognized I will be sure that the front office has this on permanent file for future reference. Next I will provide them with the mass card from my mom's funeral. I also wrote to the principal that I was grateful that he took the liberty to schedule a meeting but that my hours were from 7:30 am to 4:00 pm and that a meeting around 5:00 pm would be best for me! After that, I'm going to make their life a living hell by calling them on the carpet for every little thing I can find and I will make sure the superintendent is made aware of every finding.

Now that that's off my chest, I hope you all have a pleasant evening and a great night's rest!

Adam

wow adam!!!! i didn't know a school can fine you for not having your kids go to school! :sad2: You stand up for yourself and your son...that is terrible that they would do that for all excused absents...well pretty much excused! ;)
I got a form letter for trent last semester saying that he had 4 absents and to call the principal right away to talk about this matter. Well, i was on the defense because all 4 he was sick...2 days with strep, and two days with the flu. I also called and sent a note to school saying what was wrong and seems someone doesn't write that in his file!
So after i explained why trent was absent all was fine. he just said that there were people who lets their child not go to school just because they are to tired for that day. oh i pitty those kids work ethics when they get older! :rolleyes2

Yes, hopefully bob names his first wormburner after me! hope he has a good time!

anyway, going to go and tuck aubrey in and go to bed from there...see you guys in the morning!!!

in our school district, once a kid misses 10 days of school, the parents have to come in for a "talk" with the principal. he goes over the school district rules and policies then.

once a kid misses 15 school days, the kid and parents are referred to the police for truancy charges.

from there, they have a court date for juveniles and it is determined by the judge the recourse.

yea, it stinks.
