test Part 7

mac's back, youngest DS didn't like the iodine test either - think it was that big old needle (they used this metal one that looked like the kind in the movies from the 50's - boy was it big!). Feed DS lots, sure he worked up an appetite.

Can't believe a jock/slider pants ran over $25! Do hope it does the trick & they give him protective head gear. They got to experience what a police dog is capable of on Monday.

miz - to bring you up to speed in descending order middle DS has been:

*hit in the head w/bb bat @ Dicks by his friend "messin' around" & got concussion #4.

*3rd degree burn @ work as cook for KFC, okay but slight scar.

*passenger in car that friend flipped over, was life flighted to hospital-no perm. injury.

*captain & center of HS football team - got a helmet to helmet hit & was paralyzed for several hours but regained full function the same day, concussion #3.

*hit & run driver clipped him from behind while he was riding his bike, concussion #2

*"normal" football concussion

*got struck by lightening @ LL baseball game while holding onto a chain-link fence, only side effect is abnormal EEGs

*he's had mono twice too; along with breaking various bones.

I'd like to think he's very lucky, to have survived so far; must have the angels watching over him. Parents worry about all their kids but, he's given me the most grey hairs so far.

thanks jules, good to see you back.

ks, i would have had numerous breakdowns if i was you.
i would freak out everytime the phone rang if the son was not home.

you are a strong woman !

we need a pic of your little miss jules.........a new one, she has grown since the last pic

evening guys!

I just got in from trent's double header...they won both of them! :cheer2:
Aubrey had her first t-ball game tonight and I forgot my camera that has a full card on it...seems that always happens to me...it happened to me in baltimore too! :sad2:

Well, took aubrey to her eye doctor appt. today and heard not so good news. He said that her eyes have changed 6 to 7 degrees in a bad way. He wants to see her in another month and if they haven't gotten any better then he wants to talk about surgery again. I made him tell her that she HAS to wear her glasses all of the time...hopefull that will make them better enough that she won't have to have it. Just kinda bummed...feeling like a bad mom because I can't get my 4 year old to wear her glasses and it is making her worse! Hopefully she will listen to her doctor.

Anyway, I am sooo tired haven't slept much as i didn't fall asleep till about 3:30am then dave's alarm went off and woke me back up....needless to say i didn't want to wake up when my alarm went off this morning!

See you all in the a.m. have to work in the morning :furious:

ls- congradulations on your DS graduating from the police academy
did your ds really have all that happen to him???
i felt sorry for you as i was reading. you must have been a wreck!

pam- nothing better than winning a doubleheader! :thumbsup2
except maybe winning the next game :teeth:

mgac- glad to see you. i was wondering how you made out.
wasn't that the finger that i said was nothing? :rolleyes1

Morning...didn't even turn the computer on last night......sorry, just wanted to relax after dinner...

But guess what that got me?? up at 4:00 a.m. this morning with a monster headache, got up, took some dope, shifted around the bed 100 times with my head hurting, got that under control and then my stomach was so upset, so up I get again to take something for that....at 6 I said the heck with this and just got up. Need to go get ready for work now, I'll be dragging around 2 this afternoon.

Will check in later........sorry Pam about Aubrey, but it will be ok...I just know it will. It is awfully hard to get little ones to keep glasses on. Hugs to our girl

Mac, sorry you and your son are going thru so much, hugs to you too

KS, your son is like a magnet for bad things...I have one that is sorta like that too, but not as bad as your son...LOL ;)

Ok, zoom zoom for me :moped: :grouphug:

morning all.

hey mic, didn't see you up there!

have to go make that coffee first.
i do have my priorities

i just read the thread on all that i missed.

looks like some of my homies need a lot of :grouphug:

mic, so sorry about your headache. we have talked before on how miserable they are. i feel your pain, i know you feel wiped out from it.
hang in there and do the best you can. i hope you have some meds to get you some relief. check in later and let us know how you are doing.

ks, a police man.........congrates !!
can he fix speeding tickets once he is on the force??
that would be a good thing, especially for ed.

pam, that is not good news on our little aubrey....... :sad2:
i hope she starts wearing her glasses. maybe because she is a tad older now, as if 4 if old, she will understand to wear them all the time.

why don' t you take a lot of pics of her and tell her she has to wear her pretty glaasses for them? maybe that will excite her to wear them.
i will keep you and her in my prayers that surgery is not in the works for her.
that is pretty serious stuff to go thru at a young age. tell her aunty mac will send her a pretty card if she wears the glasses....

and the rest of you slackers, behave and don't get sick :rolleyes1

i am guessing muffy is still without her laptop.
am i a future teller or what...

Pam - YAY for T winning the double header. :cheer2:

Im so sorry about Aubrey. It must be so frustrating for you. You aren't a bad mom. trying to get a 4yo to wear glasses is very difficult.

KS - congrats on the ploice academy grad!! Im sure your DH will love the lenses. I was reading everything that happened to your son. It really is amazing that he is still around.

I haven't decided if I am going to write a trip report for this trip. I jsut finished two weeks ago last night. I'm just not that great of a writer.

Mac - Todds finger is still not healed!! That is crazy.

Mic - I hope you feel better. I hate having wicked bad headaches and asprin can bother my stomach. So, I hope work goes more smoothly and less busy for you today.

Jules - I am sure you will do excellent as an artist.

Good morning sunshines

pam - must be hard to get such a small child to wear glasses, good luck - hope everything works out for your cutie-pie. Sorry to hear you & mic were restless...a benydryl or 800 mg. of motrin would probably fix that up w/o any lingering a.m. effects.

mic - you too with the wide-awakes, hope you're not getting sick. God forbid you'd call off work sick, no one to mind the shop in your absence.
rolleyes.gif

muffy - I call my son a force of nature, things just start to whirl when he's around. I've had a few ulcers in my time. Shopping keeps me sane:goodvibes .

mac - I'm still holding my breath, he has 3 days to go before graduation, don't want to jinx it especially on this ominous day 6-6-6. All over the tv news this am...it's been done (to death) anyone else sick of the hype? As for fixing tix (does Ed have a lead foot?); he needs to get hired somewhere first. So far only part-time is on the horizon, perhaps security until he's 21 - still only 19 & very green. Most police forces have an age requirment & he's running into a problem w/getting a hand gun registered because of his age too. Talk about a catch 22.

Off to get my affairs in order before the armageddon begins. Knew I should of charged more @ JCPenney's last night.

pam- i'm sorry about Aubrey. don't be so hard on yourself about the glasses.
not many 4 year old like to wear glasses. hopefully you can make her realize how important they are. :grouphug:

mic - i hope you feel better. i've had the same headache. i had all day yesterday, was hoping i could sleep it off, but woke up with it again

have a good day

btw - anyone want two teenage girls? :rolleyes1

ks, i hope your son finds full time work. in the midwest area here, 21 is the minimum age for hiring.

ocm: he injured his finger april 7th.
we just went to the doc yesterday.

he tolerates pain very well.
he does not take after his mother in that department........ :rolleyes1

i am off to curves now.
catch you later

Joanne - thanks soo much for the offer. It's really thoughtful of you..but NO!!

I really am not ready for the teenage years. I'm not entirely ready for elementry school.

ummm...NO (to 2 teenage girls) :lmao: No seriously, I bet they are great except for their own dear ole Mom, so send em over

Headache subsided and tummy settled down, just an offshoot of the head pounding. Just took another Excedrin as my head is still tingling a bit. I'll live, I'm used to easing them away.

Hiya TVT...so you got your fill of food again at WDW ;) :teeth:

Momma, did you get the laundry done? Oh, you say you did? great, you can do mine :rotfl: j/k...mine is fairly caught up, unless it multiplies while I'm at work today, you never can trust laundry you know

No co-worker yet again  I've decided I might just take a month off and see if they give me the same consideration :stir: j/k..

Boy, we all seem to have symptoms of stuff don't we....big group hug :grouphug:

A copper mom amongst us......LOL......tell him we want special treatment if he ever arrests one of us...we can say " but we know your Mom" :goodvibes

Oh, and if the world ends today :wave2: all this 6/6/06 is such hype. I feel protected though by all of you who went to church and included me in your prayers. :lovestruc

Oh, for Ed and so Pam can gloat...........nix on those Sox........what a mess that game was. They better pull their heads out of the tail area tonight :furious:

Im very mad at Nico about the laundry. At Le Cellier, the kids were peeling crayons and Nico was told to stop doing that. Well, Nico put the crayons in his pockets and forgot about them. He has ruined a bunch of his clothes and Sammies becuase of the crayon in the laundry.

He ruined a few of Lee's Tshirts too, but I think I am jsut going to throw those out and pray Lee doesn't notice. It's not worth him being mad.

Now, I do take some responsibility for not checking the pockets first. But, it was from 5 days ago and Nico has been told before NOT to put crayons in his pockets.

I'll go through later and see what can be salvaged and what just needs to be tossed...but I am not happy at all.

Morning all!

Slept like a baby last night...much needed sleep! I think I'm going to clean clean clean today as malaries here today.

Thanks for all the well wishes :grouphug:

Mac...sorry for all you are going through!

Mic--sorry to hear about your head...should have called in work sick today...how would they live without you?!

adam--glad you checked in...we do miss you!

ocm--you'll do fine with your kids in school...it will take some getting use to ,but you will do fine...the worst is them losing their innocence!

muffy, i'll take some teenagers....i'll put them to work..in exchange for two fighting boys!

ks, I hope your son does great...3 more days....he will do great i am sure of it!

where is bob?!?!?

ed--better not lip off to ocm...you will never get your shirt!

tony....how 'bout some breakfast? :teeth:

Have a good tuesday everyone....looks like my cleaning isn't getting done itself...oh how i need to hire a cleaning lady!
