Start looking around online too for good rates........I'm doing that going crazy looking for California..............I made my bed, now I have to lay in it.... by being too indecisive and going back and forth......grrrrrrrrrrrrrrrr

my grandson called me to tell me about going to the Diamondback/St. Louis baseball game yesterday (Just for you mac, they saw the red birds.... ) and he said it was fun, "but the baseball men were very busy and after awhile I got bored"........... out of the mouth of a 5 year old...........with that statement he then forgot I was on the phone and started asking his mom what was for dinner............

Good morning everyone. I hope this day finds you all well. I have to head out to Kansas City next week for a 3 day business trip. Anyone know of any great steak or BBQ joints in that area? Hope you have a great day.

It's KC Missouri (the yucky city). I won't have much time to explore. I get there Monday night and by the time I get the car and check into the hotel it will probably be 8:00 PM or so. Meetings on Tuesday morning and afternoon. Tuesday night will be the night I will venture out. Wednesday morning meeting and back on the plane in the afternoon.

Got sonny boy's CT scan yesterday afternoon. Will be talking with the doc sometime today about the results.

Guess our birthday girl is at work today, hope you are feeling better, especially on your big day!

I'm back from the funeral I had to attend. It was held at the funeral home, and it had some prayers, but overall, it was such a nice tribute, it really touched on the person himself, annecdotes and traced his life and talked of his wife, family, kids/grandkids....what I think is just a nice way to be remembered to see the family able to share a brief laugh or chuckle at the good he brought to their lives. I swear, 58 is just to young to die. And I realize how hard it is for the family, but I think it is the way I wish to leave this earth, just as he did, in my sleep, hopefully no pain, illness or burdening anyone with me because I'm too till to take care of myself. It was a nice celebration of life on such a sad day. It sure makes one take a long hard look in the mirror and realize it could be me or mine at any given moment.

So, I'm off again to do a couple errands, needed to come home for a bite to eat and get out of the dressy duds and into my bumming around clothes...see ya later..

sorry i didn't check in yesterday--it is so crazy busy here! I am running all over for the kids this week and next week with ball, swim lessions, pre school, and ofcourse a little something for me in there!

mic--i am so happy for you that you got your picture entered. that is so exciting!

mac--do you have everything settled for when you go now? got everything all planned out? oh and for the record--kansas city mo isn't yucky! i happen to like it there!

ocm--sorry to hear about your friend. that is awful when things like that happen so sudden.

yes, pam, i settled my dates back in april for my trip.
have all the adrs done that i can, only two more days to do . those will be done on the 90 day mark.

I'll be staying Here.Looks as if I may not have to leave. Indoor whirlpool, indoor/outdoor heated pool and a restaurant on property. I will still want to get out to one of the BBQ or steak joints though.

Results are in, 1:00 pm tomorrow is the scheduled time for my DS to have knee surgery. They have to remove a bone fragment and put a screw into the bone. It will be an outpatient procedure so he gets to come home tomorrow also. I'm sure he will be bumming but at least he'll be healing.
