mac--don't know but i am guessing you probably can!;)
I'm sorry that high school wasn't good for you!

I talked to a whole bunch of people i went to school with at some point of highschool this past weekend! Seems like almost everyone i know only goes to a certain bar--so you know where to either find them or avoid:) It couldn't be that there are only 2 bars in the town!!

ocm--glad you got caught up with your friend! That always makes me feel good when i talk to someone i haven't for a long time

mic--didn't you just have lunch and go shopping with an highschool friend????

pam this must be my stupid day. i couldn't read the label on the container and when i saw the brush, didn't put two and two together.

high school was a bust for me. the school was overcrowded, everyone had to share a locker which was difficult since they only were built for one person.
we had 1230 in our graduating class. there were others but about 120 dropped out or didn't graduate. our school was so crowded we went on shifts.
my freshman year i went 8:30 to 3:30, sophomore year went 10 to 5:00, junior year went 7 to 1:30 and senior year went 7:30 to 1:00. gym classes were eliminated except for freshies and sophmores, and half of them were held at the roller rink a block from school. we had six buildings and no corridors, had to leave one building to walk to another. my third year there, trailors were put up to help accomodate the crowding. in three of the buildings, there were three stories. yuck....yuck....too many people. study halls were eliminated for the upper classmates which helped out some.
my class was the last graduating one from that school. the next school year a new high school opened and the one i graduated from changed its name.
my brother had it easy when two schools were operating.

did anyone else here have a large school?

my graduating class had 54 people in it!!! 2 didn't graduate but still went to graduation.
My whole highschool had around 350 people in it so i went to a really small school--to small on some days!!!

Speaking of old friends I ran into a girl I went to high school with on Friday. we are still friends but havent really been in touch much over the last 10 years or so. Anyhooo she tells me she is going to be a grandma, he oldest 21 is going to have a baby in March. She is my first friend to be grandmaized!!
I told her she was old, lol. Going to be a granny and I still had babies!! lol
Even though I am older than she is, she wont be 40 til August.
Oh well, if you cant harrass your friends who can you harrass?

my cousin married a gal that was divorced and had a son.
she is now, turned 39 in december and has two grandkids. the first girl is 4 and the other is 1...........gee, that is scary.....

i had my kids when i was older, it lessens the opportunity of having to raise grandkids........if that every happens. the two oldest wont have kids so it will have to be the youngest one to carry on the family heritage..........maybe he will have cats instead.

forgot to add this. you know when your kids are in grade school you make friends with the other moms......one gal i became friends with freaked me out when she told me her age. she had her first at 13 second at 14.5 and third at 17. she married when pg with her third one. all three kids have the same dad.

she was 18.5 when her daughter started kindergarten.!!!!!!!!
the gal did get her ged and went to a local trade school in her 20's and now works at a local hospital in the lab. she draws blood on the hospital patients. she's a sweet gal and good friend. she loves to freak people out with her story.

Mac I am one of the youngest moms at Nicos school. But I had my kids when I was a little older. Pam had her kids young too. So, we may know what being a grandma at 40 is like.

But mine kids are really little..right now, lets just focus on getting them into Elementry School! LOL!

I had Michael when I was 22 and Matthew at 25, I consider that to be pretty young as well. Of course it is older than 13, lol. Anyway hopefully I wont be a grandma for atleast another 6 years or longer.

Yep you were young too!! :earboy2:

But 13 is WAY too young.

13 is to young! but sounds like she made good out of it!! To bad she missed being a kid though! I had Trent 2 months shy of being 21 and at times i do feel like i missed out on alot but i wouldn't give him back for the world!!! Even though at times he drives me CRAZY!!!!
I hope i am not a grandma at 40!! As much as I don't want them to grow up I want them to live a little before they settle down!

YES!!!!! I completely agree. I dont want my kids to get married or have kids young. Go out in the world and live a little.

well, gabby little bunch of ladies this afternoon....hey, no one hollared for me................... :p just kidding....I actually got some stuff done this afternoon...dh went in for swing shift, so I had several hours here by myself to do things and get stuff done.

so, to add to the conversation, my first was born when I was 28...I was married for 6 years before the little devil....I mean <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm867' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/17/17_1_23.gif' alt='Boy Angel' border=0></a> came along...and then 3 years and 10 months later with number two little <a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm867' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/17/17_1_23.gif' alt='Boy Angel' border=0></a>

I didn't think about becoming a grandmother, but it happened so fast, when ds met/married his wife who had a son....so he has been our grandson ever since....wouldn't trade him for all the tea in China...and of course you know I have new grandson #2 who is going to be one in March. I didn't really have time to adjust to it all, it just "was", but I love being grandma...and a hip one I am....LOL<a href='http://www.smileycentral.com/?partner=ZSzeb008_ZNxdm867' target='_blank'><img src='http://smileys.smileycentral.com/cat/15/15_8_1.gif' alt='Model' border=0></a>...JUST KIDDING...

Pam, lunch was with my friend that worked at the store with me, who has moved to FLA and works at WDW, she was home visiting her kids... :D My one schoolmate that I told you lives in OR, has had a rather sad life the past 10 yrs. or so, it breaks my heart as she always was such a great gal, and to have her life turned upside down....it makes me greatful for what my life has been....although she has two great adult sons, and beautiful granddaugher.
Once your friends start having grandchildren, it will seem like everyone is having them...just comes naturally as your own go out into the world. :flower1:

ok all, where are you hiding......here i am ready to play and maybe i should decorate the board to entertain myself.
