The same friend who would be upset with OCM for not knowing Ethel Merman, told me today that it "warms her heart" when "young kids" like me like the Rat pack . . . because I do, I love the Rat Pack . But as I told her, they're a bit before her time too , she's only in her early 30s. I love that kind of music, I'm shocked that someone's never heard of Ethel Merman . I'm the same way with old movies . . . my mom told me the other day that some chick she works with didn't know who Doris Day was, and I was like "WHAT!" ~ how could you not know Doris Day

Jules, my kindred spirit...I LOVE Doris Day, have seen every one of her movies...probably gazillion times....she is a fabulous singer...her son just passed away last month from cancer....it made me feel old...he was 62...so dear Doris is about 79 years young...she was a beautiful girl in her day...and could sing...

Not that any of you care...lol.... but I love the old, old movies, can name many an old day movie star...tell you some trivia about them too...something that dates back to my childhood, an interest in movies.

Now for Sandra Dee, mentioned by ocm...she was married to Bobby Darin who passed away at the young age of 37, they had a son Dodd. She was the original Gidget in the movie.

See, told you I was a fountain of trivia....lol...............

here i am and at the library now.
todd had to down load some stuff on his laptop and we don't have a router to let us share, so i snuck out thehouse to visit with you all.

pete had a fit when he found out i didn't do cards for the people we received cards today. i told him i was busy all day long and just didn't have a minute to myself...........cough cough....can you see my nose growing??

i didn't know the space kid had his posts poofed. did someone push the snitch to the moderator button? ok by me if you did.

i dread going home, so much too do tonight. especially those darn christmas cards. i tell you all now, next july i will pre address them and do short notes in advance. but then i say this every year at this time.

geesss i get tied up and end up twenty pages behind ok i need to start by appologizing if i was rude the other day or crass, was havingf a REALLY BAD DAY and just was not my self, didnt get much better over the weekend, went sat am to pick up 2300 lbs of chicxken and found that half of our order wasnt there,, ended up special ordfering another 30 cases and picking them up at 8 am this morning, found some one to try and deliver the last 3 tons of stuff for us today, they managed all but about 30 bags, and have arrangements to get them in morning early. work has been trash lately, we have nothing going on and no income right now, and unless things pick up in the next few weeks i'm goingto have to take a job. oh well, we'll see any way, sorry if i was a bad frog the other day, btw dw still hasnt recieved her ss gift, and we are having to cancel our travel for this week so we'll be here jic seems i missed the spacy dude,, i kinda thought when he started his list thread s that he wasa kid goofing around,, i tryed to slow him up there the other day when i posted the show your face posters list,,, loooks like you guys are having a cold blast and hopefully i wont get this far behind again took me almost 45 min to speed read my way b ack almost current

we ( the charity) included a ten pound bag of chicken with each families groceries this year, our normal meat supplier never got back to us and we had to purchase the meats at the last minute, was all we could budget for, we expect to have about 6 cases left over, whixh we'll use up at our group picnic in january where we kick off things for the bbq cook off, and share any ecxtra with the localk food bank, all told we used approximately 6 tons of food total this year, and at last count had passed out 180 bags to needy families and elderly people in the area.
