Since Ed brought out the grill for Froggy, I guess I can bring some food.

We'll start with some nice New York strip steaks, nicely marbled.

Then a nice pork shoulder for a little pulled pork later.

Maybe some ribs.

And of course some chicken.

Now Froggy, if you run out of any seasonings, just yell because I have a homemade dry rub that is to die for.!!!

Thats ok froggy...I am not a fan of the other meats. So, maybe I'll bring a salad to the bbq. The strawberries this morning would have filled me up.

:wave2: Morning all..

Well, A VERY HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Mrs. Ed...how neat...to be only 40...and yes ocm, even as an old

, I do remember being that age....:teeth: Hope she has an awesome day Ed, any special plans this weekend ;) to help her celebrate? hmmmm...maybe you should get her under the blanket:p

Breakfast looks superb as always, and I love a good piece of meat...steak...so serve it right on my plate here...yum

Froggy, if you fire up all the grills, you'll never get any work done for all the cookin' you'll be doing. And boys, lets not argue over dry or wet rubs, we love em all.

Hi Kild, that'll teach you to not check in...now go do your reading and get caught up. Tell your boss your important and loving friends need you...;)

Lol Froggy. I have a comment for that picture but it would get me banned.

Man I love good BBQ its hard to find up north, there are a few places but they are few and far between, I remember my trip out to Kansas, man that some good eats.

But try to find good seafood out that way yuck, sorry red lobster doesnt cut it, we had one open near us it was closed in about a year.

Well Froggy, we'll have to agree to disagree on that one. I will always feel that dry rub is far superior to wet any day of the week. You can make a hot dog taste like BBQ if you put enough sauce on it. My idea of the best BBQ is being able to taste the meat without disguising it. Sloooooow cooked over indirect heat. My ribs usually take about 5 hours to cook but they are definately worth the wait.

i agree with ya on the coking method though adadm, i ussually put the meat on around 7 am for a late afternoon meal. ribs 5 to 6 hours,,, boston but takes about 7 and a brisket takes a good 8 hours. i do cook my meat with a dry rub, but i also s erve a really good wet sauce:) thats ok.. though,, i'll eat any bbq:) in fact i told mrs frog that i want a new brunsfeld smoker grill for christmas:) i like thier larg emodel silver smoker:)

That New Braunfels Silver Smoker is a sweet machine. One of the best off-set firebox units available. If you do get a new one, don't forget to season every inch of the inside with some good oil, light a fire in the box and walk away for a few hours. It'll get just like your favorite cast iron skillet. With your BBQ techniques and the amount of grill space on the Silver, you are gonna have some mighty happy neighbors! I hope Santa is listening.

We donated a silver smoker to the organization we help provide food to the needy at christmas,, a s the grasnd prize of our cook off we hold each sept. i have the largest brinkman made now, but i really like the build of the new braunsfel
