Morning Adam, thanks for breakfast...it looks wonderful.

Morning Ed - the sunrise is gorgeous!

Adam - i am sending you a PM.

I am good. How are you this morning?

last night was fun. We need to do that more often. ::yes::

OK my test buddies. Your mission, should you choose to accept it, is to save me some money. My DW and I have decided that we will be taking our vacation from September 27th to October 4th next year (8 days 7 nights) and spending it at Walt Disney World. We have been there 3 times within the last 6 years so I pretty much know the lay of the land.

Here are the specifics. I can get air for the 6 of us for around 1300 (Southeast Airlines). The rack rate for a Wilderness Cabin (our place of choice to stay) would run about 1900. Tickets (4 adults over 10 and 1 child) look to be about 1700. We like the ultimate park hopper passes because we can do a water park in the morning and another park in the afternoon along with having the option for my older ones to do Disney Quest anytime they want.

I haven't looked into packages yet (that's next) so I wanted to throw those prices out to you all. Can you save me any dough? Are there any specials you know about? Do you have any tricks up your sleeve for me to use? Let me know and thanks in advance for your help.

Adam

morning all,

way yyyyyy too slow here this morning:)

getting extra day off due to rain, so we are being a bit lazy:) trying to get motivated to brave the waters and go vote, then have appointment to renew my medicaid after lunch. we really need to go start taking the haunted house apart , but with all the rain its hard to get the wanna go up to the go level:) we've had steady to heavy rain since about 2 yesterday afternoon, and no let up in sight:)

adam, make sure you check the budget board,, was able to use the tips i got there to book the trip we had to cancel lat summer,, 4 adults, 2 kids wlc park hoppers included,, for 2300, we drive so flight was not included, but we firgured with counter service, taking food to e at at cabin, and skipping all priority seatings,, we could do 7n/8d for a total of 4000 including gas and a motel enroute( from our house biloxi/mobiles about half way:)) was planning a night on the gulf in alabasma on the way out and a stop in the pan handle on the way home, but if you watch the tips boards you can difinately make the trip work:)

see you guys later..

Adam you may want to get one Annual pass it would give you a discount on the cabins these are the discounts on this Sept

http://www.mousesavers.com/index.html

Ft. Wilderness Cabins - $139, Value season

the rack rate was 229 a night

The AP is only slighty more expensive and gives you discounts at some restaurants and admission into the water parks and you only need one for the whole party to get the room discount when I went I booked my mothers room also at the discount rate even though she didnt have an AP.

Adam, there are a few things you can do. First, check out APs. The reason is becuase for the price of a 7 day park hopper you can usually get an ap for less/or the same. This will also help as that time of year, Disney normally gives out great AP rates. Like I am staying at the WL for 100 per night. I dunno off hand what cabins are..but i am sure they are discounted for Ap holders. Just something to look at and price out.

You are going off season, so if you decide to go with a package, the deal should be pretty substantial too.

What I do know...a few of us are going in Spetmeber that year...so maybe we can all hook up. Or at least meet.:smooth:
