TEST (part 2)

Bob - do you prefer a slower work week? Back when I worked, I remember that I didnt mind a slow day every once in a while, but staying busy made the day go faster.

Pam - that is a difficult decision. I would say..heck no. Or at least I would think that and probably end up getting talked into taking them all anyway. If it helps out money wise..you can do it for a few months. Then again, I think your sanity is worth more than the money.;)

Mic - hurry and get your ressies done. I booked Cape May Breakfast (I think that is the one character meal we haven't done.) And Nico asked to see Minckey mouse, so we may end up at Ohana too. The good news for me is I always take the earliest breakfast, so they always have openings for 7am.

Lori - which ressies are you changing?

Keisha - good luck finding the phone!! Do you have insurance on it?

OCM - I would like to change the day we have our CP breakfast scheduled. I like before park opening times too.

Thats one of favorite things to do on my MK days, get the earliest ADR possible at CP. You get some great photos with noone else in them going up Main Street and you avoid the big mess at rope drop.

I'd prefer to be busy -- I hate sitting here with nothing to do. When I do, I feel like I could be home instead.

Afternoon all......Bob, good to hear from you...most of the time I prefer busy also, makes the day progress so much faster, but I hate those days where you can't seem to get it ALL done and things are frantic...like yesterday was here...we were bombed with customers...everyone wants granite countertops right now! Job security:thumbsup2

I'm just gonna make a couple dinner ADR's I think, keep it simple. Now if free dining comes out and we can do it, I'll have to put my thinking cap on for more meals...and while I think I would like it, I think it might be too much money for us to spend just for those couple days.

I've never been able to get an early one even when i call 180 days out:confused3; thought it would be a good strategy (and the food is always great:thumbsup2 )

mic - don't make me get out the whip! make those ADRs pronto;) ; espec. if it's free dining time. Dumby me forgot DWTS, did i miss anything. Idol tonight on my agenda.:thumbsup2

DSs phone has been located, still on the bus (with driver though); supposed to get it back tomorrow

no insurance, too pricey imo vs cost of the phone, he's usually the responsible butthead lol

lori - my DS has never rode the bus to school (although they did put him on one in kidnergarten once:eek: ); i can see the school from my front sidewalk...one of the reason's we bought the house; no more than a 1/4 mile or so...uphill both ways:laughing:

pam that's a whole lotta kiddos:scared: ; do you get headaches? r they bad?popcorn:: destructive? I used to do the books for a local daycare provider, agency made big bucks vs the providers...never did understand why they didn't just get licensed & advertise for themselves...people always looking for good daycare in our area.

time to haul out the turkey soup i made yesterday, best part of the bird imo.

KS, don't whip me...I'll get on those ADR's for sure by the weekend...if we miss out, we miss out......

Glad the missing phone came back alive! Those are the little things we should always be thankful for, honest people

AI, Biggest Loser, Big Brother and DWTS.....yikes, too much to keep up with...although DWTS is only elimination, so I can live without an hour of singers and other dramatic stuff, just vote someone off already.

:thumbsup2 That's why we do it!

evening all!

Dave took the kids to the husker game with some other dads!:thumbsup2 I am enjoying the quiet...i do have to run to the grocery store but really thinking of doing it tomorrow;)

ks--the kids are all pretty good...it's the parents that sometimes get out of line:rolleyes: I know i could handle it but do I want to?!? I do think I have it figured out though...i will end up with 12 kids everyday and with my helper here it will be fine. I am glad you found the phone. I agree with you about the insurance. We don't have it on Trent's phone. It was going to cost us $12 a month and if they had to replace it we would have to pay $95. didn't see where that made sense:confused3

mic--get those ADR's done;) where are you going to try to eat?

bob--glad you had a good easter!

I have to tell you that I checked airfare today for our cruise:eek: we got it for $219 p/p and it is all the way up to $532p/p I am really glad that I told my sister to suck it up and book it:laughing:

mic - what i like about you (among other things) is you are unflappable:thumbsup2 ; a long cool woman in mickey mouse ears;) ...so where are we eating:laughing: ?

lori - i watched folks duck under the rope whilst waiting to get into the MK, was never sure when exactly they do start taking the ressies @ CP:confused: ; especially when it's am EMH:confused3

pam - sounds like you've got it under control. Officer Jer just bought himself a blackberry:snooty: , with policeman discount & contract extension only $99. I choked to pay what i thought was rather high for this summer when the dates were released; ours have skyrocketed the same as yours...i'm worried about what they'll cost for Oct. once SW releases schedule...always a waiting game for us to see if we should snag AT 1st.

not sure which program to watch, guess i just switch back & forth

Being the anal person that I can sometimes be, even after I book airfare I'm always 'looking' to see if the grass is greener or all dried up as far as prices go :lmao: My airfare out to PHX has increased by about double, so I'm a happy camper right now...I even missed out and paid a little more by waiting, but still not what it's showing right now. Its such a game you have to play with airfares...it's like just set a reasonable fare, let people book at that fare and quit with the games.......but heck, it keeps us on our toes and works our brains I guess.

Ok, everyone and their brother decided to call me this evening, so no bike ride for me and now my shows are on......so I'm off...plus we have a 10 year old houseguest this evening, our little gal that we used to babysit is spending the night with us...she is on spring break and T/W are dh days off, so here we are, entertaining during the week:goodvibes She is easy though, PB&J was what she wanted for dinner, then a trip to the store for some ice-cream...bigtime treats;)

Ok I got my grades....:cool1: In COM 140 I managed a 94.5 and in GEN 105 I pulled off a perfect grade off 100.... And you want to know the best thing about this?? The 3 most important people in my life all told me how proud they were of me. My Mom and Dad and my best friend ( you know who you are ;) ). To hear that at MY age made me feel really touched.

The last thing my Dad said to me before I got off the phone was for me to promise to finish.....And that he was sending my grade reports to everybody in the family...:lmao: :lmao: :lmao:

many a night PB&J sounds swell to me, or even better just the PB on toast so it gets gooey-drool!

probably has them on the refrigerator right now:) , that's where they go in our house...Congrats! Going back to school sure isn't easy.

DH got word that his transfer @ work has come thru, has to catch the dept sup to get all the details. half-hearted dancing for him, i'm still on the fence-trying to be supportive of him going back into the furnace @ work:eek: and the weird hours it will entailpopcorn:: . I am so not a creature of change, more of a sheep who just wants to keep grazing I suppose.

Have a great day all!

Good morning testers!

OH TVT...how awesome you did so well, and you should be proud as well as your mom, dad and all of us!:cool1: Keep up the good work! They keep talking about sending me for a 2-day Excell course and I'm thinking, can I do that?? and retain what I learn? Especially for someone who has been out of school for many, many moons :goodvibes Congrats again and I agree, I bet the grades on on the place of honor...the kitchen fridge:thumbsup2

KS, I hope dh is happy with his new position, and you are right change is difficult and just like TVT with school, it's harder as you age. We went thru so much change in the last couple years, but ya know, we are coming out of it pretty good and we have adapted. Ya do what ya gotta do. Right now, with the way things are, I guess we should be thankful to at least have a job.

They are interviewing for my receptionist position right now and I tell ya, I'm not sure how I feel, see, we are heading right back to that thing of excepting change...I've worked hard to make my mark in this position and find it hard to let go. She may do a better job then I ever could, but everyone here likes me and I them and I've 'learned' all my boys here and hate to give them up also, but.............

AI last night, well my 2 rocker dudes r-o-c-k-e-d it OUTTA the house..:cool1: poor Carly got a lashing again and looked deflated. Biggest Loser was great too, just a couple weeks left on that one. Will try and catch BB on Demand tonight and missed DWTS ejection, gotta go see who went........

Morning all! Hope everyone has a good Hump Day.

tony--congrats on the grades:thumbsup2

ks--sounds like a hot place for your dh to work;) I'm sure you will get use to his schedule.

mic-- i am the same way...i just want to see that i got a good deal:rolleyes: I checked our FL trip in May and can't find anything cheaper than what we paid so I am a happy camper.

Have a good day everyone.

Tony - Congrats on the great grades!!!!! I am proud of you too!

KS - Congrats on DH's transfer. Didn't you say he found out his department was going to be downized or did I just imagine that? Anyway at least he won't be out driving those big trucks in the nasty weather like he had been.

Mic - How sweet of you to let her stay over. I bet she & your dh have a fun day! It is hard to chagne jobs but you have been waiting for this so you can move upstairs, right?

Pam - I am like you, mic & ks. Always checking to see if I can get a better deal on my vacations. But then again that is probably why we all even had the chance to get to know each other.

Have a terrific day everyone!

Hey friends, just a drive by......:flower3:

toot-toot:) back at you; i taped idol last night & finally got to finish it; should be interesting; i think the little girl from FL will be gone (too bad, i liked her - funny story about her biting as a child).

lori - the buzz is DHs dept is going to be eliminated, so he's jumping ship & chosing a different job of his choice as opposed to being assigned. It's just that he's a mere 10 years from retirement age & the job can include shoveling burnt crap out of the blast furnace. Funny thing is in the summer they have to wear long underwear to shield themselves from the heat of the furnace It's hard, physical labor (for this he got a degree lol) & those dreaded midnight rotations-yuck. He worked there when he 1st started in the mill; transferred out to a "cushier" job. However, as mic said - be glad for a job & adapt:thumbsup2 ; bright spot - OT potential.

finally got to see one of jrs tennis matches, they are undefeated in section!

Amercia's Top Model is on the tube, what a bunch of bimbos
