TEST (part 2)

lori - that's a nice cartoon:thumbsup2

forgot to shout out to mac (wonder what they traditionally eat Hawaii on Easter - pork? poi? pineapple?)

ocm - what a great looking table! (way out of my price range lol, shamefully, i have mismatched table & chairs in DR...since i haven't found a set I like that doesn't have upholstered seats-which my cat would shread in a week). we checked out the type before, my legs were too short to comfortably climb up on the chairs:rotfl: .

mic - i was wondering why i was dragging today, your theory of the sugar overload is a good one.

Happy Easter - bunnies:goodvibes

the weekend has gone by in a blur, nice though:)

glad to hear you're all having an enjoyable holiday

i had to laugh, i remember the high point of officer Jer's Easter was the egg hunt every year when he was a kid, always so proud of his basket full of eggs (especiall the special ones they'd exchange for $s). This year, he was on duty and got to sound the siren for it to begin...the circle of life:laughing: .

little warmer here today, mid 40's; spring may be just around the corner afterall.

Now that is special!

I agree KS, the circle of life....so true and its so short from start to finish. I was thinking today of when the boys were little, it seems like yesterday instead of all those years ago...

evening all!

finally here...sounds like everyone had a great easter!

Left my kids at my mom's house tonight....they wanted to stay. My sister's kids stayed too......my poor mom:rolleyes:

I will have to go and pick them up tomorrow after the kids leave and I told them I would bring supper out to them.

I am headed off to bed....have a great night everyone!

Good morning...:surfweb: real life has once again invaded and its back to the mines.....

Have a good day everyone

Im going to have to put a stool down for Sam to get up and down, but I am right there with you. My chairs arent mismatched..they are completely broken. My kids fight over who is going to sit in the broken chair.

It wasnt the table I wanted. This was the table I wanted,http://us.st11.yimg.com/us.st.yimg.com/I/everythingfurniture_1989_278909320 but the price was insane. The way my house is laid out, the family room and the kitchen table are the two most used peices for furniture. They are also the two most seen and used by guests. I have a great dinningroom set that I love, biut that room has been used once, maybe twice since we have moved in.

The next two rooms are Nicos and mine. My bedroom furniture is all broken, but my headboard is a mirror (not broken)..which is um..fun. ;) So i haven't gotten anything new yet. Nico's room is completely mismatched, poor guy. At least my broken furniture matches..so I will probably get him a set, hopefully in July or Aug. I need to ask my mom if she is still planning on painting his room Redskin colors.

ED - I forgot to tell you the work you are doing sounds awesome!:thumbsup2

Morning everyone:surfweb:

ocm--i know what you mean about the furniture. All my kids needs new bedroom sets...well i guess aubrey doesn't need a new bed...she needs a new dresser. I just can't find what I am looking for:confused3 Trent and Noah still have their bunk beds that i took apart. They are starting to show their age and falling apart. I need a new kitchen table and chairs but i refuse to get a new set until i am done with daycare.

mic--another day another dollar!!!

played kick ball yesterday and now i am finding out that i probably shouldn't of:rolleyes: can really feel it in my foot today. It was fun to get out and play with the kids......until my bil threw the ball and hit a tree and popped the ball:rotfl2:

Have a good day everyone.

I could use new furniture too but my money goes to my vacation account! It is much more fun!

All of our stuff was wearing out, breaking down and generally I had no choice to replace them...but most of our stuff had had its usefulness. In the last 3 to 4 yrs. I've had to replace my washer, dryer, fridge, stove, & bed plus just recently the TV (TV was MOST important to replace immediately :goodvibes ) I also bought a new sofa and recliner about 7 years ago (my old one was 30+ years old that had been reupholstered twice). I need another recliner, but need to hold off. EEK...always something

The day is busy, yay, it is passing quickly

We had our house custom built not quite 7 years ago. All of the furniture was bought when we moved in. The oldest things in it are our fridge, washer, dryer & main tv. The thing I need the most is blinds. We never bought good ones for it, they have to be custom because of the window sizes so they will be very expensive. We live in the country so we have cheapo ones that are all breaking from walmart. I am going to have to do something very soon.

ooh, that one's nice too:thumbsup2 , my boys & dogs & cats were rough on furniture. I have to keep my relatively new recliner couch & loveseat covered since the cat i inherited from MIL is so distructive...still can't believe it took a computer chair down to the studs:eek: . How lowbrow is it? don't laugh too hard (conventional covers don't fit, it's too big)
fyi, don't be offended, i always buy DH a girlie calendar for Xmas:laughing: ; note the bad cat, cheap looking cover on the couch & all the Xmas Disney crap lol

lucky you! just tack up a sheet, preferably disney:rotfl: jk

mic i'm old enough that i've gone thru at least 3 sets of furniture & applicances;) ; still the same bedroom suite though except for mattresses

.

i'd think that # of kids would be hard on furniture, most probably romp like wild hooligans...kids these days;) . How's your foot doing?

mid 30's here today, bad mom i am didn't drive to away tennis match this afternoon, tomorrow is the day:thumbsup2 (wasn't up for 3 hours travel time & sitting in the cold-shameful lol)

DHs toy, which the entertainment unit doesn't fit:headache: ; he's going to try & make one - oh, joy.

Purdy TV KS...dh looks very happy to be standing next to it!!:thumbsup2 Looks like ours, but we got a 42 inch I think. We love our 'slim' new design, so much better then the big old lunk of a thing that died.

I've actually had 3 sets of kitchen appliances. The first one was about 20 years old when I replaced it (avocado green no less :rotfl: ) the the fridge is STILL running in in-laws basement. My second set only lasted 10 years, so this is number 3 and I hope that is it;) Washers I've had several and dryers I think this is #3. TV's, well, we've had our share of those also, usually they died before replacing them though, not just cause we wanted something different. It goes back to you 'circle of life' theory KS.....;) :rotfl:

KS, is dh gonna buy all those cleaning products on the screen and help out around the house.........:rotfl2:

That wouldn't be a problem for me at all. I never close mine anyway. No wonder none of my neighbors talk to me:lmao:

Keisha - I should have kept my new couch covered. The guys at the furniture store swore that microfiber was the easiest stuff to clean. Apparetly, they don't know my children. So, I now have slip covers because after a year, the couch is ruined. I will try at somepoint to have it steam cleaned..but then i will stick the slip covers back on anyway.

Pam - I bet that is true with the daycare kids. How many fit at your table? A few of our chairs are broken, so my current table holds 6 chairs (two have slates in the back that are broken. But, if both my parents come to stay, there arent enough chairs for all of us to sit. My parents get all offended..its crazy. This way, at least we can have 3 other guests at the table with 5 of us there.

Mic - I hear ya with the washer and dryer and things. We have put in a new dishwasher, oven, and I forget, but something else, in the past year. Its been crazy.

Ed - you have done a ton of stuff to your house in the past three - four years right? I remember you got the boys the bunk beds monstrosity a few years back.

I am hoping this wont cut into my vacation time too much. I really need a break as well. But some of this stuff just had to get replaced. The first thing I need to do is about a week or two before the table gets in, I need to get a tablecloth and a pad for the table.

KS - Great new TV. I bet the guys are very happy. DS looks like he wants to take a look at that magizine dh is holding!

As for our windows, the front windows are about 8' high and cover basically the entire front (east side) of the house. The back side of the house has normal height windows but they cover basically the entire back (west side) of the house. So we have tons of sunlight coming in to Mikey & Ally's bedrooms in the morning and tons of sunlight in the living room & dining room in the afternoon. Sheets are just about all that will work.

I could use new living room furniture again already but since the kids would just destroy it again. So it is going to wait.

DS called me while they were enroute home on the bus to come & pick him up @ HS

1/2 way home he realized his phone was missing:rolleyes1 , doubled back; bus was gone:headache:

wonder if it's reasonable to think it's still on the bus & the company could check in the am:confused3 sigh (hope nobody's calling to china about now on my dime)

kids keep life interesting don't they;)

I'm #1;) ; everybody sleep in today? If so, enjoy:goodvibes

phone still mia, bus company not sure what garage said bus returned to:confused:

errand day - whoppee, have a chocolate bunny or two:banana:

Morning all!

ks--that really stinks about your ds's phone. I really hope that you find it. That is one thing that is great for them to have so you can always get ahold of them but when something like that happens it is a huge:headache: Love the new t.v.! Dave wants to get a new one that hangs on our wall after the one in the family room goes out....now that he wants one it will never die;) which is fine with me...less money i have to spend:)

ocm--I can fit 8 kids around my table. It's not the prettiest thing but it is funtional and I don't care if the kids tear it up.

lori--sounds like your house does take in alot of light. I got my kitchen and bathroom blinds from American blinds and wallpaper. They were pretty reasonable but I didn't like the bathroom ones and they wouldn't take them back...i basically had to pay them if i wanted them to take them back:confused3 I do love my kitchen ones though. When I lived out in the country with my parents we never closed our blinds....our closest neighbor was atleast a mile away.

mic--we are starting to go through everything needs replacing i think. We have had our fridge for 14 years and it is starting to make some funny noises...thinking of replacing it before it goes out. If it holds on i will use it for an extra fridge either in my basement or my garage.

I am trying to figure out what I am going to do with my daycare this summer. One of my friends who did daycare is taking a different job and 3 of her parents wants me to watch their kids. I will be losing 3 to kindergarten next year but I have to get through the summer with all those kids....if i take all the school kids that i currently have enrolled and the kids that want to come here I will have 18 kids enrolled:scared1: ofcourse they won't all be here at the same time, but I just don't know what I am going to do yet. I could afford to hire my part time summer help full time for the summer if i take all of them.

anyway, gotta run...have parents showing up...have a good day everyone!

Good morning....another sunny but chilly morning and I'm SO glad to be at work:rolleyes: I need to find me a sugar daddy, that is all there is to it:thumbsup2

Pam, that is a whole lot of little one's, but if you can hold on for those couple months of kid overload, you will be good in the fall when several start school. I know you will do what is good for you. Think how much more in the vacation fund you will have:idea:

I keep saying I need to line up a couple ADR's for our Disney trip, and just can't seem to get myself to do it. Not that the 2 of us can't eat just about anyplace, but I would like to hit up a couple of our fav's.

DWTS's last night was ok, can't get into so much this go around....OH...I read on TMZ (that reputable news source;) ) that the guy who did Priscilla's face is up on charges of malpractice of something or other. Seems some wives of celebs, like Larry Kings wife and some others had these 'injection parties' at their homes and this guy would inject their faces with stuff..these people have more money then sense:upsidedow It also said Priscilla is having some 'corrections' made :confused3 Whatever they did with her makeup, she didn't look as ghastly last evening to me anyway.

I got caught up watching a Trading Spouse's on CMT last night and that one woman made me want to grab her thru the TV and strangle her......usually those shows I can take or leave, but I got into watching this particular one..it was from several years ago...

Ok, guess I gotta do a little work.....later gator's

Morning all :)

Quiet here at work this week -- lots of people are out for Spring Break. :thumbsup2

Easter went pretty well -- we drove through a snowstorm on Friday night to PA (we went to the Cavs game that night and left at halftime). Saturday was my nephew's 1st birthday party and Sunday, we had dinner with my side of the family, then drove home. Yesterday was spent hanging out with Ryan. :)

I didn't go back more than a page or so on the thread, so if I missed any questions, I'm sorry.

KS - I am so glad my kids go to a small school. I drive by our busses every time I drive in to town. No worrying about where a bus returns to in the evening. Good luck finding the phone.

Pam - Good luck with your decision. That is a house full!

Mic - Get those ADR's made! I need to call and change one of ours.

Have a great day everyone!
