TEST (part 2)

afternoon all!

Where does the time go when we're havin' fun:rolleyes:

Have to go sit through a band concert tonight. Atleast they have been at it for a few years so it actually sounds like music now....although you still here a squeak here and there:rolleyes:

looks like baseball is officially going to start here. Trent has practice Wednesday. I think Noah is going to have practice indoors next week.

mac--i can't believe you had a blonde moment;)

ks--how 'bout those rats?!:thumbsup2 cool pirate!!

mic--are you still riding your bike? It is suppose to get in the mid 60's here. I wish it wasn't so stinkin' muddy.

Hope everyone is having a good tuesday.

Afternoon one and all....was running late this morning and had no time to check in...but I know the teacher personally and she will excuse me:angel:

Pam, I am still riding, but it seems to no avail:mad: :guilty: I do my 10 miles every night and still standing still on weight loss...but at least I'm not gaining...see, there is a silver lining in my cloud. I bet if I did this in the morning it might be better, but I hate getting up earlier then what I do already, I told ya, I like my sleep;) Anyway, it can't hurt, so I'll keep up with it.

I ran out at lunch today and did my tanning session as most of the upper class were all out of the office, that way I figured I wouldn't be missed :goodvibes I have to try and go at least 3 times a week to get my money's worth as I'm doing the monthly payment deal...more times would be better, but I just can't do it, with gas so stinkin high, I almost hate going at all...but geez, are we supposed to give up everything because we are on the lower food chain with money:confused3 :sad1: Now they are saying food is gonna go up too, and I've already seen it happening at the store...something needs to give and soon...it is hard when all this stuff is escalating and the paycheck stays the same:sad2:

KS, LOVE the pirate toy....cool...that is something my son would love and laugh if he got

hi mic - i haven't tanned in a long time, just no extra dough:confused3 gas is killing me, both for the cars & to heat my house (got my biggest gas bill ever...over $500 for 1 month...would hate to see it if it raised it above 64 degrees:rolleyes1 )

come on spring!

KS, I hear ya about gas and heating the house...they just delivered 161 gallons of oil the other day, not sure what it is per gallon, but last time it was higher then gas for car, so if that is the case...that will mean over $500  and let me tell you, we kept the thermostat hardly ever over 62 degrees for the most part. I'd hate to see it if we actually kept the house warm. And just a 1/2 tank of gas for my car is running me around $26 and that lasts me a week if I only drive back and forth to work, thank goodness I live only about 20 miles round trip..but if I go anyplace else, its more...it is just so ridiculous. I will no doubt cut out a luxury myself soon as it's taking everything to pay for utilities and gas. We have the budget plan with our oil company and pay monthly, but it has gone up about $55 per month from what it was :headache:

Enough doom and gloom.......AI is on tonight as is Biggest Loser which should be coming towards the finale. I've enjoyed this go around with it.

Taking pup to groomer on Saturday...tried figuring if I found a groomer closer to the house, but then that one charges more, so even figuring in my gas, it's worth taking him to the regular place, plus I trust them with him and feel comfortable leaving him. Guess he will have to start going mangy too prices keep going up.

No baseball here we still have a foot and a half of snow on the ground.

600 dollars in propane delivered today, good thing we haven't had that many deliveries this year due to the pellet stove, and when I put the other one in the basement maybe I can get it down to one delivery a year.

Ed, nice to see ya....and I'm feelin' your pain...$$$ for all of us this winter

Mac, I love that they sang Beatles tunes...my likes were Amanda, Carly and while not liking his song so much, I still like Michael. The others were ok, although they gushed over David's 'Eleanor Rigby', I didn't care for it...and the stripper dude....:headache: and '8 Days a Week' country :confused3 I realize she is a country singer BUTTTTTTTTT...not liking that at all. And I love the judges telling these people to 'find themselves and their style', then when they do, they rip them up .. I call it talking out of both sides of their mouths ;)

Gotta run friends

morning all!

can you believe it is hump day already?!:cool1: my the week goes fast when you are busy:rolleyes:

I shut off my furnace yesterday and opened the windows...it was 70 degrees in here. today it is suppose to be 66 degrees:cool1: then next week we are suppose to get snow again. Why can't spring just spring already:sad2:

i have parents showing up....have a good day everyone!

i totally agree with you on that mic

Afternoon....Pam, your weather is like our springtime around here, changes everyday til we finally go from winter to summer  never seem to really have spring

I think it is the time change, I did NOT want to get up this morning, and I can't fall asleep at my normal time.......:headache:

So who will go on AI tonight? My guesses......Katey or whatever the country girl or Ayesha or David Hernandez those would be my picks for one of them to leave......time will tell

No one here watches Biggest Loser but it was SO good last night....I admire these people for all the weight they lose

hi all! DS had a stomach flu, spent the day hovering & cleaning;)

looking forward to seeing who gets the boot on AI tonight...Chicizzie(sp) really turned it on-who knew, i thought he was going to tank by now.

would like to see 'lil miss country go:rolleyes1 rubs me the wrong way

anybody else think the nanny is putting it on, way too sweet...those big old eyes remind me of

I agree with you about the nanny she looks like she is one bad vote away from a rifle in the watch tower.

Hey everyone! I am back. Had a great weekend out of town without any children (or the dh). It was so peaceful. Wish I was still there.

Hope everyone is doing well.

:cloud9: That is beautiful!

Hi Pam & Bob! And everyone else! Have a fabulous day.

Here is an email I got about how to help with gasoline. I thought it was probably a load of crap but my dh said that it is all true. Guess I should have known too.

Since it is true I thought it was good info to have.

Tips on pumping gas.

I don't know what you guys are paying for gasoline.... but here in California we are also paying higher, up to $3.50 per gallon. But my line of work is in petroleum for about 31 years now, so here are some tricks to get more of your money's worth for every gallon..

Here at the Kinder Morgan Pipeline where I work in San Jose, CA we deliver about 4 million gallons in a 24-hour period thru the pipeline. One day is diesel the next day is jet fuel, and gasoline, regular and premium grades. We have 34-storage tanks here with a total capacity of 16,800,000 gallons. Only buy or fill up your car or truck in the early morning when the ground temperature is still cold. Remember that all service stations have their storage tanks buried below ground. The colder the ground the more dense the gasoline, when it gets warmer gasoline expands, so buying in the afternoon or in the evening....your gallon is not exactly a gallon. In the petroleum business, the specific gravity and the temperature of the gasoline, diesel and jet fuel, ethanol and other petroleum products plays an important role. A 1-degree rise in temperature is a big deal for this business. But the service stations do not have temperature compensation at the pumps.

When you're filling up do not squeeze the trigger of the nozzle to a fast
mode. If you look you will see that the trigger has three (3)stages: low, middle, and high. In slow mode you should be pumping on low speed, thereby minimizing the vapors that are created while you are pumping. All hoses at the pump have a vapor return. If you are pumping on the fast rate, some other liquid that goes to your tank becomes vapor. Those vapors are being sucked up and back into the underground storage tank so you're getting less worth for your money.

One of the most important tips is to fill up when your gas tank is HALF FULL or HALF EMPTY. The reason for this is, the more gas you have in your tank the less air occupying its empty space. Gasoline evaporates faster than you can imagine. Gasoline storage tanks have an internal floating roof. This roof serves as zero clearance between the gas and the atmosphere, so it minimizes the evaporation. Unlike service stations, here where I work, every truck that we load is temperature compensated so that every gallon is actually the exact amount.

Another reminder, if there is a gasoline truck pumping into the storage tanks when you stop to buy gas, DO NOT fill up--most likely the gasoline is being stirred up as the gas is being delivered, and you might pick up some of the dirt that normally settles on the bottom. Hope this will help you get the most value for your money.

DO SHARE THESE TIPS WITH OTHERS!
WHERE TO BUY USA GAS, THIS IS VERY IMPORTANT TO KNOW. READ ON.
Gas rationing in the 80's worked even though we grumbled about it. It might even be good for us! The Saudis are boycotting American goods. We should return the favor.

An interesting thought is to boycott their GAS. Every time you fill up the car, you can avoid putting more money into the coffers of Saudi Arabia. Just buy from gas companies that don't import their oil from the Saudis.

Nothing is more frustrating than the feeling that every time I fill-up the tank, I am sending my money to people who are trying to kill me, my family, and my friends. I thought it might be interesting for you to know which oil companies are the best to buy gas from and which major companies import Middle Eastern oil.

These companies import Middle Eastern oil:

Shell........................... 205,742,000 barrels

Chevron/Texaco......... 144,332,000 barrels

Exxon/Mobil...... ......... 130,082,000 barrels

Marathon/Speedway... 117,740,000 barrels
Amoco............................62,231,000 barrels

Citgo gas is from South America, from a Dictator who hates Americans. If you do the math at $30/barrel, these imports amount to over $18 BILLION! (oil is now $90 - $100 a barrel.

Here are some large companies that DO NOT import Middle Eastern oil:

Sunoco..................0 barrels
Conoco..................0 barrels
Sinclair..................0 barrels
BP/Phillips.............0 barrels
Hess......................0 barrels

ARC0.....................0 barrels

All of this information is available from the Department of Energy and each is required to state where t hey get their oil and how much they are importing.

But to have an impact, we need to reach literally millions of gas buyers. It's really simple to do.

Now, don't wimp out at this point.... keep reading and I'll explain how simple it is to reach millions of people!!

I'm sending this note to about thirty people. If each of you send it to at least ten more (30 x 10 = 300)...and those 300 send it to at least ten more (300 x 10 = 3,000) .. and so on, by the time the message reaches the sixth generation of people, we will have reached over THREE MILLION consumers !!!!!!! If those three million get excited and pass this on to ten friends each, then 30 million people will have been contacted!

If it goes one level further, you guessed it ..... THREE HUNDRED MILLION PEOPLE!!!

Hi Lori and welcome back..good gas tips you posted...it is outrageous isn't it:mad:

Pam, we go to AZ May 23rd....and right now, I can't wait..although I don't have our return flight booked:upsidedow

I was not sorry to see David the stripper leave AI, didn't like him from the get-go. Brooke reminds me of a phoney and I would like to see her depart also, as I would Shyesia, Remuile, the country girl and a couple others. I'm still  over '8 Days a Week' country style...I could have lived with it if it didn't seem like she was rushing/running thru the song...the tempo and everything was gross. I still like Michael :lovestruc & Carly. Yep, Chikizie did kick it the other night, that is about the first song he sang I really liked. I like Amanda also, but don't see her lasting. She is way too 'different'.
