Glad I decided to stay in, we got this storm that blew thru here, bad wind, downpours, thunder and lightening...better to be inside then out.

no way jose! you're just recouping after a challenging week

i purposely stayed busy today, laundry, beef stew (yum), cupcakes; ready to deal...done wallowing

skipping the game tomorrow, 1 son has made it up to Erie, 2nd on his way; they're staying overnight to avoid drive in the am.

we took DS & his buds to the tournie/release of Smash Bros. No problems on the way up to mall; drive home was scary. Glad DH was driving....5 min drive took over a 1/2 hour, cars everywhere stuck & sliding. That's a sick feeling when you start to slide downhill. He's picking them back up around 1 pm; going the long way-highway...will drop them all off @ one house for a sleepover (not my house-yeah! ).

thanx mac - i wanted to go today, roads still icy here; palm sunday next week so i'll be there helping while DS serves...i like easter; everything is new again...hope springs eternal

DS won the tournie last night, goes to the district competion next Saturday

keisha, Easter is my favorite holiday.
a new birth
a new beginning.

it always gives me hope.




but, this year is the first time in 175 years that Easter is this early.
i will be with my brother on the 18th and i'm sure he and pete will be celebrating Easter with a bottle of beer.........i'll read, they'll drink..

Easter is early this year.....once in awhile it falls on my Mom's birthday, the
27th of March and I always thought that was early It has fallen on ds's birthday 4/13, mine 4/19 and dh's 4/21..I wished it had fell in March in years past when my son was home, it was always so much with all the birthday's and Easter packed into a week's span. Now that it doesn't matter, it comes on an early date in March It is a holiday for sure about new life and everything coming alive again.

It is so stinkin bright for 5:30 p.m....all day long I keep saying 'it should be xx o'clock'....I do that for about a week

Went to the grocery store, got gas (there went about 3 days of working) and tended to MIL before getting out. She had a heart catherization on Friday, so I cleaned up her incision and bandaged it for her. She had some new type of sealing procedure and it appears to be doing well, to my untrained eye anyhoot

Gonna wash some towels and then relax for rest of evening...see, told ya I wished I'd done all this stuff yesterday

KS, good for you son, let us know how he does...WOOHOO...a gamer!! Adults are just big baby kids sometimes, I don't get it myself, but it's one of those whatever things. Glad you got home in ok with such slick roads. Sun is shining here, little windy but nice.

i'm a creature of habit, hate having the internal clock thrown off by spring time change...the fall one doesn't bother me . turned the sound back on clock in the LR...the songs/chimes drove everybody bonkers (except me-thought it soothing). After the long lull, it's startling me everytime the hour rolls around lol.

I'm off to watch some TV before turning in...again, this time change has me all koo-koo....I have chimes on a clock also and LOVE hearing it, mine is westminister chimes, on the hour, 15 after, 1/2 hr. and 45 min. It was my dad's clock so it is about 25 yrs. old I guess...when I babysat, the little guy knocked it off the stand and the thingy that rotated on the bottom is broke, but it still chimes nicely. Not an antique or anything, an Elgin I think and the piece that broke was made of plastic, probably why it broke off when it took the double gainer off the stand.

My MIL is 75 years old. I'm sure she will be calling me tomorrow to come down after work and change it again..where it is, is not a place you really want your son's tending to.....

I forgot earlier.......GO RATS !!

Hey all

Sorry, I haven't been around much. Work's been busy. Good, but busy.

Got pretty well snowed in yesterday -- I believe the official snowfall for our town was listed at 21 inches yesterday. The new snowblower paid for itself in one day. I even helped out a neighbor across the street from us this afternoon -- poor guy hadn't been out all day yesterday (I plowed 4 times) and was trying to clear his whole driveway with this little snowthrower. The two of us knocked it out in about 1/2 an hour.

uggh...my work load is at full force again I kinda liked having a few kids gone. Now it is getting the kids that were gone back in my routine.

bob--sorry you are having so much snow. I am hoping we get rid of all of ours today...it is suppose to be in the 40's. tomorrow and wednesday it is suppose to get upto 65 with chances of snow this weekend.

mic--did you get rested? I was on the road all weekend...hope you got a little rest for me. This weekend I will be getting ready for trent's confirmation while dave is off playing...he is going to kansas this weekend for the husker baseball game.

mac--are you working this week?

tony--where are you? enjoying disney world?

ocm--are the kids keeping you busy?

ks-- how is mom doing? I know you will do the best thing for your eyes. congrats to your ds!

Good morning.... Monday yet again

Pam, I got some sleep, but I swear, it never seems enough I wake up during the night thinking about having to get up

Nice so far this a.m., but I think we are supposed to get rain tonight with tomorrow being a fair day in the 50's...spring can't be too far away, lots of birds making appearances.

Rather quiet this morning, waiting for the other shoe to fall, as I'm sure it will. Owner is back from his sojourn to the islands for a week, so he seems recharged.

he admired it @ Xmas when it was nearly $40, i got it on clearance for $4.99 (plus one to sell on ebay) ; had to use up a Best Buy rewards certificate before it expired.
