TEST (part 2)

morning all!

Quick drive by...have to go watch Noah play in the championship today and then off to lincoln.

Can anyone tell me which direction i'm going?!?!:confused3 :upsidedow

Have a good weekend!

hi guys

ma made it up the stairs to dinner tonight with 2 canes instead of the walker:banana: little shaky, still better that i had hoped for

mic - stinks you missed a great fare:eek: ; maybe they have DING in stealth mode (no sound?). When r u going to Phoenix to see the kiddies?:thumbsup2 Had wanted to fly into Phoenix this summer instead of Las Vegas (shorter drive to Grand Canyon...the fare was almost double for some reason...i keep checking it, not sure why? Car rental is also way more expensive there:confused3 . Is it a smallish airport?

lori - that is a ton of ballons, you must be out of breath;)

pam - sounds like u need a gps system. since i've been so wrapped up in our household issues i may have missed how your dave's tests went:wizard:

how great does a hot tub sound:cloud9: , wonder if you can add Mr Bubble?

YAY for KS's Mom...I'm so glad she is doing better...how old is your Mom? She seems like my mom, very determined to get around....honest, big squishy hug for you, I know you've been worried.

Sky Harbor Airport in Phoenix is a huge airport...really a hub out there. I've not rented a car in quite some time, as son always picks us up...we did rent one for the trip to DL 3 yrs. ago, but not at the airport, offsite National. Yep, missed the $77 ding:headache: I'll keep dogging the site though hoping to get in down a bit...at least have going out, which is crucial being that it is Memorial Day weekend and a Friday night at that...maybe can get the bargain basement rate for returning east :thumbsup2 I read online and need to check it out, that you can download a Ding that is ok for work computers...but I swear, I'm doing it anyway, what can they do, just ask me to uninstall it. Or fire me.........YAY.....no work and lots of time to wait for Ding's.....LOL

SOOOO...my day...got oil changed in car, signed up for tanning, went to carwash which was a zoo, so skipped that, wasted about 40 minutes at my son's while waiting for hair appt. He lives right behind where I go, how convenient for me. Readers digest story coming up......called on Tues. for appt. with my gal, was told she has left for extremely personal reasons, no longer there...my jaw hit my desk....I asked is she doing hair, figuring she just left and they didn't want to say....nope, she is not doing hair. Well, I was frantic so I called someone I know that also goes to her and she had the scoop. She actually was the last known client in my gal's chair. She came out and my friend said she looked horrible, she was falling asleep while cutting her hair:eek: dropped her scissors and comb about 7 times, and started hacking away on her hair (she has short hair to begin with), then she never uses a curling iron on her, but did and burnt her head!! She finally got up and left, and then the owner ended up calling her, to say she was so sorry, would she come in to get her hair fixed, blah blah...and also that she had to fire my gal :sad1: Anyhoot, the owner said she would like to do my hair, so I went today and she took 2.5 hrs. with me, discussing color, cut etc. I am now the blonde I've been asking for forever...I wanted to try a more platinum then 'yellow' type blonde. She had this new coloring process that she said would be great for me (yeah, I've got gray hair/s) so that next trip in will just be a root touch up and not the lengths of my hair. I've been letting my hair grow, and she cut in in what I call an inverted bob, up a little more in the back, longer on the sides. Until I try to fix it, I LOVE IT. I didn't ask about my gal, but she finally brought it up a bit and she started to cry saying she was so upset about it all. I'm gathering my gal was/is using drugs or something or is caught up in something. I'm just so sad about it all, and she is not a kid, she is 35...I've gone to her for about 8.5 years. So, I hope she doesn't tank and realizes what she is doing. It cost me more for this coloring procedure, but if it saves on the next visit and the color lasts, it was worth it to me...I was like a before/after person today...LOL...she really pampered me and I guess I'll be going to her now. Everyone in the place was ooh/ahhing about the color...of course half the staff is a sister to this gal and her mom does receptionist work there..;)

KS, I mentioned it above, but we go out to PHX 5/23 and stay til 6/1

Thats passive aggressive ********, I know you and have met you there are plenty of people who love you, me included. What an ***.

Same here. OCM you are better than that. Eff him! You are a responsible, caring and above board person that he will ever be! Sorry I haven't been around much but keep your head up high girl! Lee is on my new hitlist! God bless you momma!

So,,,,,,,Mic is a Blonde now????? She was hot before this now she must be even hotter??? I don't think that's possible but what the hell!

Good Morning everyone. I was hoping to get some work down around the house today but Mother Nature has other ideas, we are getting more snow,

Wish the hot tub was already in.

Ah, another wonderful pic! :cloud9:

Have a good weekend!

How did Noah do?

You are going that way!

ma made it up the stairs to dinner tonight with 2 canes instead of the walker:banana: little shaky, still better that i had hoped for

lori - that is a ton of ballons, you must be out of breath;)

Yay mom!

Wasn't out of breath but my finger was sore from tying them.

mic - Sorry about your girl but it sounds like it is probably for the best. Hopefully she will get her act together. It sounds like you have a great new stylist though!

The carnival was a great success. The last we heard we had cleared $10,600 and they were still counting! :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: :woohoo: Not bad for a little town.

thanks mac, i was out searching for a 4-prong cane to replace the one that got "stolen" at the hospital for mom (along with the 2 AA batteries for her hearing aid):rolleyes1 imo there's a special place in hell for those who steal from the infirm

somehow she managed to get an infected cut on her finger too:confused3 least her dr. was reachable today & called in an antibiotic pronto! i'm just glad things are working out so much better than they had prognosed last week...i'm still trying to figure out how u go from breaking a hip to not breaking a hip; glad they did the CT scan to make sure.

lori - that is a fantastic amount of $, congrats!

mic - 'do sounds very hot! Platinum is a difficult shade to obtain & keep. I had it once for a year or so...too much work for me; roots always peeking thru;) i'm thinking a victoria beckham/katie holmes bob? KWYM about the stylist, that's the same reason i switched over...girl just too unreliable; not making it into work, etc.-sad. not sure how i missed the dates (d'oh); good luck.

splurged & bought some strip steaks, going to trudge out to the grill. We've gotten about a foot of snow over the last week & it has sleeted a few times too...resulting in being able to walk on top of it...sorta fun (i'm easily amusedpopcorn:: )

enjoy the rest of the weekend!

Loribell, that is an awesome amount to raise, it was worth tired fingers :thumbsup2 sounds like all went well

KS, this new color she used, was 2 shades of the blonde, then she picked a 3rd darker shade, that after she had all the foils in place, she picked them all up and started 'pasting' the darker shade on all the roots...supposedly this color system colors and takes to gray hair very well, and is less upkeep...we'll see. It is light, I was looking in the mirror this morning and thinking maybe I went too light  I was thinking of doing a dark underneath and blonde on top, but chickened out...I may try more of a carmel highlight for one of the colors next go around...I'm one sunshiny topped moppet right now......LOL

I agree, who steals stuff from older people :confused3 :sad2: but it happens, guess they figure they are easy prey. Just like the cool flowers I sent my mom in the hospital in a cute pumpkin holder which she loved...when she came back from surgery all her flowers she had received including that nice one from us were gone...no one seemed to know what happened to them.... whatever...I was not a happy camper about that one!!

Went to see dh's aunt, she turned 91 today and is as spry if not spryer then me :upsidedow walked down, so it I got a little excercise out of it plus its pretty nice here today.

Quiet now, ds went home and dh is at work, think I feel a nap coming on

mac, we always can count on you on Sunday's :flower3:

oh golly gee, that was sweet!! How the heck are ya? good to see you pop by......and I'm tellin ya friends, my hair is lighter then its been in a long time, so yeah, I'm an old hot mama.......:rotfl2: (and it oughta look good, it cost me enough) although every time I pass a mirror I'm like who the hell is that?? :rotfl: :confused3 ;)

how about a pic of the new you?

you know we would love to see it.

keisha, that is awful someone stole her proned cane.

i do hope who ever did that gets pregnant with triples now.
that will teach 'em to steal.....

i'm thinking mom will be stronger and able to get around better once she is home for a bit. it is just something about home that helps people get better faster than stay in the hospital.

mic, gotta see the new you....

lori, wow, that is fantastic.
i was going to make a joke out of blowing up all the ballons but thought, better not...........

hey mr kurt, good to see you.
hope you stop by again soon.

catch you all later.

no skool tomorrow.
Illinois celebrates Cashmir Pulaski Day.

That is awful. What kind of scum does that?!?

somehow she managed to get an infected cut on her finger too:confused3 least her dr. was reachable today & called in an antibiotic pronto! i'm just glad things are working out so much better than they had prognosed last week...i'm still trying to figure out how u go from breaking a hip to not breaking a hip; glad they did the CT scan to make sure.

Hope the antibiotics work quickly. Can't believe they were thinking broke hip and it was nothing. Guess they just assumed because of her age?:confused3

lori - that is a fantastic amount of $, congrats!

Not bad for about 20 parents & 40 boys, huh? Of course the boys were there because coach told them they had to be. Unfortunately there was also supposed to be 1 parent for every kid. Yeah right!

splurged & bought some strip steaks, going to trudge out to the grill. We've gotten about a foot of snow over the last week & it has sleeted a few times too...resulting in being able to walk on top of it...sorta fun (i'm easily amusedpopcorn:: )

Yummy!

Loribell, that is an awesome amount to raise, it was worth tired fingers :thumbsup2 sounds like all went well

Yep, it was worth it. I can't seem to get motivated to do anything today.

i do hope who ever did that gets pregnant with triples now.
that will teach 'em to steal.....

:rotfl2: :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

lori, wow, that is fantastic.
i was going to make a joke out of blowing up all the ballons but thought, better not...........

Now you have me wanting to hear the joke!

no skool tomorrow.
Illinois celebrates Cashmir Pulaski Day.

What the heck is that?

evening all!

taking a quick break...trying to get some deeeeeep cleaning done while the kids are gone....dave took them to the husker baseball game today but called and said he is on his way home...to dang cold.
It was so nice here yesterday...in the high 60's!:cool1: was muggy this morning but cooled off quickly.

Didn't make it to Lincoln yesterday because my mom, sister, and her kids came to watch noah's game and then the kids all wanted to play together so decided to let them play while it was so nice out.

Noah's team won yesterday so that means Noah is a back to back champion:cheer2: His team won the league last year too. I think he finished off the season with around 80 points...i'll know for sure at their awards night.

mic--hair sounds cool!! I am trying to figure out how i want to do my hair when i go in tues.

lori--that is awsome about the fundraiser! I think we are going to have to do one this year as trent's team is going to go and play in a tourney in Kansas City.

ed--you are having a party at your house when your spa comes right?!

bob--how is the job going?

ocm--lee is just a butthead...don't listen to him.

mac--do you have big plans on your day off? how is mr. mac feeling?

ks--sorry to hear about your mom. We had steak last night and it was very yummy! I hope your's is good too.

kurt--are you staying busy at work?

oh, dave's test. He has passed one and has one more to take. He is scheduled to take it tuesday and start at the office on Wed. He got his first paycheck from his new boss on friday:thumbsup2 Nothing like sitting at home and getting paid;) :lmao: No, he has been going to the public library the last few days becuase he says he can't study here anymore...seems the kids are to loud for him:confused3 :rotfl2:

alright i suppose my break is over...i figure if i do alot now i won't have much to do in a couple of weeks for trent's confirmation.

Have a good night everyone.

Pam - Good luck with the fund raiser. The boys also did one with a great coupon type book, much better than the entertainment books. They had them for a lot of different areas. I will get one out and see if they have them for your area, if so I will send you the info. The book was $20. The baseball program got $10 of it. It was on consignment so they only paid for what they sold. Best part was there were so many coupons in it that people would actually use. Our local grocey store had 12 - $5 coupons in it. Really didn't make any sense not to buy it. Anyway, I will get mine out of the car later and see what all areas are included. Might be a great fund raiser for y'all.

Congrats to Noah on the big win! I bet they were excited!

Funny how the hubby's can't handle the noise for just a little while. Yet it never seems to dawn on them that we do it all the time. Of course that does not include the great guys on this thread!

A picture...well, maybe when I get out to see the grandkids;)

Pam, you are so awesome, cleaning is totally out of my vocabulary lately

I'm ready, just waiting for the official invite from Ed...I'm SO there:cool1:

Pam, you are so awesome, cleaning is totally out of my vocabulary lately

cleaning???

she can use that word but tell her the word iron and she just looks at you in a daze....

what the heck is an iron..........she sez.....

yeah for Noah! ; the steaks rocked!

jr has to earn min. of $600 for his trip end of April (they handed him candy bars, chocolate covered pretzels, hoagie sale info & blub orders for flowers); think i'll probably just be forking over the dough. I hate sic'ing him on relatives & neighbors, wish they'd have an organized event like yinz guys had.

mic - hair really sounds nice, i was so resistant to getting carmel in my hair; shocked how the color doesn't look the same as in the bowl;) . Def sounds great to be spry....something about that word that i like!

mac - i like the name of the polish dude too - my people

lori - they did a series of hip/pelvis xrays on mom & announced the broken hip, i even picked out an orthopedic surgeon & rehab facility....2 hours later the surgeon orders a CAT scan & then they find out the hip wasn't broken...just severe arthritis & sore from the fall. At that point she started to have chest pains (me too lol) and they transfer her to a telemetry unit @ another hospital. Not that it wasn't good news, just the fact that they are complete idiots - yet again.:rolleyes1
