Mac - have you planned your disney trip for next fall? I'm sure you will have a blast meeting up with your brother.



My strike lasted a total of 5 days. He did do the kids laundry, made Nico lunch 2 days and made the kids dinner a few nights. That is more than he has done in the past 6 months he has been here. So, I guess it was successful.

first, congrats on doing fine at the gym today and congrats on winning the war at home on laundry and chores.

assign him a job to do dinner two nights a week.
and laundry a few times a week also.
maybe it will make him more helpful


i'm looking at october this year for the motherland.
i already have my room reserved for hard rock
just have to do the plane and wdw ressie yet.

Mac, when in October are you going again? We got one of those special deal emails from WDW an I'm thinking of trying to make one of their windows in early October or early November. I don't know if we can spare the money, but it's fun to dream. Maybe it'll happen.

Morning, afternoon and evening...all rolled into one

Had a zillion errands today...started with Uncle Wally on to Uncle Sam, saw Mrs. Kohl and Mrs. A. C. Moore plus a grocery store figured into the visit...spent a ton of moola on vittles and sundries........yuck, but we shall eat for a few days anyway

I did get a freebie today and I was SO glad I stopped by the tanning salon...almost didn't, just had so much on my plate to get done, but thought what is 1/2 hr. out of my day, well, they were offering a free tanning session today so I got to tan for free! Now I'm feeling like I will get in the swing and start going next week.

Also stopped to see Popeye as he fixes very good fried chicken and took it over to ds's apt. along with a birthday cake...my baby turned 25 today! He wanted the Planet Earth dvd's, so we got him the set and gave him some money...he treated himself to a birthday present of a Nintendo DS so he can use the money to purchase a game or whatever....boys never seem to outgrow electonrics

I'm beat, I hauled all that crap in the house (ever think how much stuff gets handled?? all the handling to get to the store, on the shelf, then you put it in your basket, take it out again at checkout, put it in bags, put it in the car, take it out of the car and then finally put away...whew) and I left around 9:15 this morning and its now almost 7

I say we all chip in, buy a place in Florida, start a commune and reside together....we can rotate cleaning and cooking too

Momma, sounds like you made out pretty good, maybe he'll step up now and help out a little more

I went and had lunch with my bestest friend then went to Walmart. After that I came home, called my neighbor & she came over to use my sisters detox foot bath. She stayed and visited for about 3 hours.

Woo hoo on the successful strike. Hopefully it sticks!

Off to watch Nico play football and then we are meeting up with frie ds for lunch. Julies fever was 104 so, I am calling out tomorrow. I'll be back later tonight. Lee is playing hockey, so I have a night to myself.

Not sure if I will watch Oscars or not........as a youngster, my mom and I wouldn't miss watching it for anything...it all seemed so glamorous and there were 'stars' back then...and I remember for years Bob Hope being the emcee...it just doesn't quite do it for me anymore...plus they all are so long winded and then someone will HAVE to say something political

Can't believe another weekend has crashed and burned...back to the drawing board tomorrow

KS, sorry your mom is having med problems...mine thought she had taken all her pills one day and I found 2 of them still in the pill minder so I know what you mean...I did buy her a different type of case though and hope it is easier for her to do her am and pm meds without missing any.

today is the 1st day of the rest of our lives i don't work well under pressure

mic - we do the daily pill thangs too, she's up to an am & a pm; will just have to watch it a bit closer, can see how she could get turned around with all those little pills. I was a mite disappointed with the oscar dresses & program, like john stewart, just called it a night around 11ish; kept switching between it & the drug out race cancellation

lori - what movie did yinz gals see?

mac - ships passing in the night ; see another storm is bearing down on you...you're going to drag yourself to hawaii and give up that great weather
