TEST (part 2)

Back in the saddle and I must say it stinks:mad:

I do feel good sportin' my tan, although not as good as I would have liked, those rainy days cut into my sun worshipping for a couple days, but I feel more 'alive' with some color...now I will want to start tanning again and lord knows I never seem to find the time...cause I need at least 3 days aweek at it to keep up my 'glow'

I think the kids are just off here today, not sure as I don't have to worry with that stuff anymore

OK, I have work to do, and I do think I was missed, well, for all the little sheat that I usually do:rolleyes1

morning all, my guy's just off today (sure wish they had that whole week off like they did a few years ago:wizard: ). Funny thing, they said the parents were up in arms, evidently issues with day care. Pam would know all about that;) ; do u have any in your care that are just casual drop ins? Know that is non-existant in our parts. Most won't take kids if they have a sniffle let alone a fever:confused3 . Gawsh, your vacation ticker is moving right along:banana:

mic - hope u settle in quickly, yet retain the vacation vibe:goodvibes ; it does tend to evaporate quickly in the face of RL (except in our daydreams!) I'm not a racing fan, still quoting ocm's description of a series of left turns-hee-hee. I'm trying to appreciate it though, figure it'll come if I learn more about it.

mac - hope they get your computer running quickly (hope the techie talk is covered under warranty too-amazing their hourly charges:eek: ).

so, who's kids are off this whole week?

I have a few school kids that I let drop in but I usually don't count them in my head count. I know...naughty me:rolleyes: I don't like taking them if they are sick though. There are a group of us here in town that will help one another out. I know when I go on vacation there will be some daycare providers that will take the kids that come to my house. Then when they are off I will return the favor.

Mic-- sorry you had to go back to the grindstone today. I am sure you were missed! I think I am going to start tanning soon to get some color....i am feeling very washed out. I need to get some blonde put back in my hair...it always makes a difference.

Think I am going to be heading to the dr. or calling our friend today as I think i have a sinus infection. That would explain why I have been having so many migraines here lately.

i usually burn at first but then it turns into a tan. I need to get on the ball...i usually feel so much better when i tan...it is soooo relaxing.

more than once i've nodded off in the bed;) ; i'm at the point where i think i need to tan to hide my wrinkles (from tanning lol)

I agree, I feel so much better when 'glowing' from the sun....I will only admit that amongst my friends here...if you mention it elsewhere on the Dis, you will get a lashing from the skin police about all the ills of it...I know, I've heard it all.......BUT it is relaxing and I enjoy it and really, do not over do it

Off to watch some TV...very busy at work today, stopped and made a donation to the grocery store so they would let me bag up a few things to bring home..

AND...WONDERS OF WONDERS...I got on the scale this morning to see how much extra I brought home with me from vacation...and I was DOWN 3.5 lbs...:scared1: :woohoo: hope the scale wasn't just playing mind games with me, gave me incentive to get back on my bike tonight and ride my 10...

but I am whipped tonight, so see you all on the flip side

Curious Momma, how is the strike going?

evening all.
i'm back home again but don't know if i will be making a burger king run around midnight again..........

very cold. i don't like the word wind chill anymore.

got the computer all fixed up.
the best thing with an Apple warranty, it covers everything 100% for 4 years.

good to see mic back home.
i wonder if she has any sand between her toes .............:confused3

yea, where is little momma and what is happening on the strike?

i don't tan by choice.
i pour sunscreen all over my body and face when i go to florida.
i lather my face with sunscreen when i go outside here.
i have had skin cancer on my face before and not taking any chances on its return.

hope pam is feeling better soon!

Hi all. Hope you all had a terrific day.

Mic - so sad going back to work from a wonderful, relaxing trip.

As for the tanning beds...(nope not the skin police) I once heard the VP of Prodcut Development for Arbonne say that she will always tan cuase tan fat looks better than white fat! She is also a California girl so she does all her tanning outside. Anyway, her comment to people that told her it was bad for her was that she knows Arbonne's products will help with the aging effects of the sun. So if you are concerned about it check out their stuff. It really is great stuff.

Nite all!

Morning all...

blech...another work day...:surfweb:

Mac, I may have a little sand left in my backpack I carry to the beach :goodvibes That super fine stuff sticks to everything, you find it in the most interesting places before you shower:lmao:

I've heard that Arbonne products while pricey are nice, but never tried them..I'm a moisturizing gal though, in the winter my skin is so dry I have to lather up everyday with lotion or else I am a giant flake ;)

Ok, have a good one, if you are feeling blechy, hope you feel better today, enjoy the day, hope to drop by later, but no promises, still have work to catch up on. Yesterday was hard to get work done as it was a holiday for most gov't peeps around here, so they all came to our place to look for granite...we had 25 customers walk in, and that is close to a record for one day for us...it was insane. Doesn't sound like alot, but you figure at least a couple hours per customer and it takes up the day and we had 4 sales people and another 2 jumping in as needed to help out....today needs to be quiet

morning all

mic - a weightloss is a fantastic souvie! never heard of such a thing;)

mac - yikes, i'd bath in sunscreen too if i were u

i go to dermatologist once/year to get checked, was told better to get by dose in a tanning bed (as in regulated amt of time as opposed to substantial burn

pam - not sure if u have disney visa & whether it covers your dates - new code APU good until 5/21; appears to be water park & PH upgrade; usually open to public in a few days

Morning everyone!

I'm back, but I'm sick. I decided to pick up a flu bug somewhere along the way. Well, no, I didn't decide to pick up a flu bug... if I had any say in it, I wouldn't have picked it up... right?

The sickies didn't set in until Sunday night, so I got to enjoy all of the racing stuff. We had a great weekend and it was good to get away.

I'll be back when I start recovering. How can there be so much laundry? How???

I do have a disney visa. I saw the new code but we won't be there until the 24th of May:headache: :guilty:

Morning all!

tricia--hope you feel better soon:hug: I'm glad you got to enjoy the race.

ks--the way i see it is something's going to get you sooner or later so if you enjoy tanning then more power to ya. I usually only tan for about a month a year to get my base tan and then while I am out at the kids baseball games i will sit in the sun and get a little crispy.

Mac-- i don't blame you for covering up. My mil has had several cases of skin cancer. She makes sure she is covered up too.

mic--that is alot of people! Hope you have a more relaxing day at work today.

It is tuesday already:cool1: A few more days and it will be the weekend again.:woohoo:

i overslept today.

and it sure did feel good.....

tricia, hope you feel better soon.
didn't your mil do the laundry while you were gone?
maybe next time.

has sweets won the strike or is she in hibernation now?
stay tuned for the noon news to find out...

tony, shake a leg and wake up in the morning before all of us lose our jobs due to over sleeping.....

keisha, how many trips do you have planned this year?

kurt, i made coffee

keisha, how many trips do you have planned this year?

kurt, i made coffee

i'm all for feeling good, especially when fresh brewed coffee is involved

or

travel - anywhere;)

2 thus far:rolleyes1 see ticker/siggie for gory details...i plan on you providing me with an itinerary for HHN:wizard: (i'm the type that needs one of those guides down to the minute you see in the Unofficial Guide the 1st time i do any park:lmao: )

pam - too bad you'll be missing it, grrr...any AAA deals?

who will get their laundry done 1st...my money's on mic (think she got a head start on it in FLA:goodvibes smrt cookie)

trouble brewing with idol already according to Today show, 3 of the peeps had professional recording contracts & 1 was champion of star search:confused3 you'd think they'd check this stuff out.:headache: last thing the show needs is another clunker of a year

Mic - Yes the Arbonne products are expensive. You can do like a Costco or Sams Club thing by signing up & buying wholesale. It is I think a 35% discount. They do work though.

Hope it is a slower day at work for you!

KS - Getting checked regularly is a good idea. I need to go myself just to be safe.

Idol sounds like it is well on its way to trouble. :sad2: They need to get their act together. To many people really like that show for them to screw it up.

Tricia - Glad you made it back safe if not sound! Feel better! :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: :wizard:

Pam - Morning! Hope you had a great day. I think it is best to get a base before being out in the sun a lot. Less chance of burning that way.

Hi Mac! Glad you got to sleep in today. You need it every once in a while. Are you teaching this week?

I've been wondering where OCM is too. Haven't seen her in days.

Have a geart evening everyone!

A quickie before heading out the door and going home for the day..pretty busy for most of the day, last hour was a little slow, but I needed to have th pace lessen.

Yep, my laundry is pretty much caught up, but I see a new pile forming in the laundry basket...it never ends, we are either awfully dirty or awfully clean :goodvibes

mac, how is it out in the land of icicles?

they say we might have snow/ice this weekend...and I need to get out on Saturday for vittles and other errands.......grrrr

ok, see ya later
