TEST (part 2)

ocm - Michael is 16. The problem is he is weighing himself constantly thinking he needs to loose weight. I just don't like him worrying about it so much.

Does he work out? High school was a little while back, but in my house, I was the one that was weight worried. My brothers were all into beefing up. Getting ripped or cut as they would say. It was how big their muscles are and how strong they were. Maybe that would be a better avenue to take or try to steer him in. I would worry if my kids were as weight obsessed as I am too. That would be the one habit I hope they never pick up from me.

what's so wrong with weighing in ?

i get on the scale 2 x's a day.
i have to or i go :crazy2:
it's a part of my routine.

sometimes i get on the scale more than twice but i am trying to hold back and not be obsessive about it.

working tomorrow also.
is tony going to do the morning wake up on monday?
he better!

Hey all...gettin ready to hit the hay....

Did you all see the gym for kids only?? I forget the name and where they are, but there are VERY few. Anywho....no adults can join, just kids... The idea is to have fun while getting a workout... It's a great idea...and like one Dad they interviewed, gets the kids out from in front of the tv ;)

Glad I don't have to worry about that with Bubba's schedule!! :rotfl2:

have a good rest everyone....tomorrow is another day.....

See that is the problem, he is weight obsessed. He is so concerned about loosing weight. He plays baseball, they work out every day, three days a week they run a timed mile and the other two days they run sprints. Their workouts/practices are from 1:30 - 4:30 every week day. In fact they even practiced today because the weather was so nice.

As you see above, my concern is him being obsessed with it.

Nite everyone! Have a great week.

i guess some kids go through the weight issues like adults do.

my sons are weight obsessed.

none have gone vegans yet.

it's monday....not wake up time yet.

you get to snooze another 4 hours still.........

see you after work tonight...
or when i get back from my airport run to get the son that i like sometimes.

On the topic of scales, I don't dare step on a scale, because I then become to obsessed with it. I was a health, and exercise nut at one time, and then I had to have my gallbladder out, on my 25th birthday, because of it. I then threw away my scale, so I wouldn't obsess over it anymore. I kept one out of the house until my DH bought one last year, and I caught myself starting to step on it alot. So I swore I would leave it alone, and I have :)

When it comes to me, I weigh alot more than I look - I'm very big structured and big boned. The government says someone my height should be around 135lbs. If I weighed 135lbs, people would think I had an eating disorder, or dying. When Stephanie (my9yrold) was born, I was 165lbs, a size 10 jean, had my belly button pierced - I was pretty skinny and sexy :teeth: There's no way I could have lost another 30lbs:sad2:

So now I base my weight on how my clothes fit - this is best for me :)

Morning Everyone

How tall are you?

Tvt - I am ok with it not coming back. The Mods are right about the boards being much faster. Now I have time to post before I go to work.

Morning all....part 2 is fine...the boards are moooving along swimmingly...but it would be nice if part 1 was archived someplace...I get a kick out of going back and reading some of our fun over the years and on our anniversary date its fun to pull some posts and laugh...

Weight is just a number, and it does vary with individuals, but I'd still like to kick about 10 lbs. :thumbsup2 I have to laugh though when I see these people in magazines that have lost lots of weight, I do not believe that some of them wear the sizes they claim :confused3 Some of them weight much more then me and say they were 3 sizes smaller, I don't quite get that. Thrilled for their success stories though, it is amazing how much they have lost.

Morning... er... Afternoon... again.

I'm slow moving today. I didn't sleep well last night. That seems to happen a lot these days. Oh, well.

I am 5' 11". I get to carry a whole lotta weight on this frame before my doctor raises an eyebrow at me. I'm trying to drop a size so I can buy a new pair of jeans before we (hopefully) go to Daytona in a couple of weeks. If not, no big deal.

It'll be time to pick my oldest up from Kindergarten soon and the youngest has been whiney and clingy today, so I'll try to make it back later.

Hope you are all having a good day! :)

Michael would starve if he was vegan. He loves meat!

And that is probably what is best for all of us. We need to find a size we are comfortable with and stay there.

I never want to get out of bed, probably because when bed time hits I am wide awake. Think I turned off the tv at 2 this morning.

Have a great day everyone!

Mic - I'm with you. I would like to lose about 10lbs. That would put me just under my ideal weight for me.

Tricia - sorry your baby is being clingy. My youngest gets like that too. And until this year, she only spoke to me and her siblings. People actaully told me to take her to get help with her speech. I always explained that it wasn't that she doesn't talk..she just didn't want to talk to them:lmao:

I am so tired. I have to take all the kids to Nicos training tonight. Lee played hockey last night and slept in this morning. So he isn't going to be able to make it home in time to take him.

When Sammie wants to talk she does...it's shutin' her up that's the problem!!! :lmao: ( not really, but once she does decide she wants to talk to you , you better listen)

If Lee can't play and work he should quit playing. Whimp.....must be tough to be old.:lmao:
