Hi Everyone,
I heard somewhere (cant remember exactly were) that DLP were building a Terror Tower. If so where is this getting built and does anyone know when it expected to be complete :eek:
Thanks from Beverley ::MinnieMo

It'll be in the Studios park, almost directly opposite where you come out of Studio 1 into the park proper. If you look at the ornate white columns in that area, some already have the "HTH" inscription on them - and apparently did so when the park opened, showing that it was always the plan to build it there. The planned opening date is sometime in 2008 I believe.

At the moment this area is boarded off and there are enormous cranes there which I think are laying the foundations for the Tower of Terror at the moment! I think it will improve the Studios immensely as there isn't enough there at the moment, however I will NOT be trying it out!

Depends if it's going to be random drop. If so, there's no way I will risk it!! :crazy2:

DD's 8 year pal thought it was one of the best rides at MGM :scared1:

I've not doubt about that - IF your stomach can take it!!! ;)

I've read too that they're hoping to bring forward the opening to 31/10/2007 - whoo-hoo. :banana:

Anyone who reads my posts will know that I am a total wuss when it comes to fast rides, however I forced myself to do this and loved it! The reason I did it was because I thought if it only has a loose lap belt it can't be that bad :rotfl: :rotfl: :rotfl:
Mind you once was enough, I couldn't pluck up the courage to do it a second time on the same trip. Next time I am going to pluck up my courage to do it at nightime.

Samantha and I are at the bottom right, I think our screams got stuck on the 13th floor! :rotfl2:

it is being built in mgm somewhere near the entrance heard it is going to be opened in 2007 but dont know exactly when. when i went to dlrp a few weeks back and saw where it was being built.
p.s if you havent already been on the one in walt disney world in florida then just to let you know i have been on it and it is brilliant!!!
minnie much :wizard:

Like almost all the Disney rides, there is so much more to ToT than just a ride. It was my favourite at MGM in Orlando and me and DS experienced it 3 times. The whole experience was really spooky and the actual ride was great - if a bit stomach churning!:bitelip:

I didn't fancy the big drop ride at Islands of Adventure (can't for the life of me remember what it's called!) because it is a ride like any other you can do anywhere but ToT is in a league of it's own.

If it is going to be ready for for Halloween 2007 I might just have to start planning...;)
