Very hard to do business with them. I called today (one moth out) to get ressies for Finnegans Oct 14th at 5pm in order to stay for dinner then do stay and scream......waded through a mountain of automation to find some guy who wouldnt state his name saying and ill quote... "what you want?"!!!!

Of course ressies werent available at 5, so i took what i could get, then he called me by name and said we were good to go. No res number, no last name given, and when I asked him about how to verify my res once I got there, he told me to use my first name, and he had my name wrong. SIGH...

I am NOT a dis-hound...when I go to Orlando I enjoy both Disney and Universal.....but guest services at universal is just another example of why theres an alpha and its not Universal!!!!

What a shame you had a bad experience.

I have to say though we have found the opposite to be true in our case. We find them easy to do business with.

We have called them over the last 4 years numerous times and the last 2 years almost double numerous times.....whatever that may be :lmao:

We have had the best service from them every time. Got exactly what we wanted and several times a representative has called us back to make sure we were happy with what had been discussed. And with the time difference they have always made sure they don`t call when we`re in bed!!!

I have never booked a meal ahead of time as that`s what I love about Universal........I don`t have to decide months ahead of time what and where I want to eat on a specific day. But for accomodation, park queries or anything general they have been wonderful to us.

Could it be that you just had a problem with Finnegan's and that employee? I am a newbie to Universal and will be leaving tomorrow, but so far, I have found anyone I have contacted there to be helpful. In fact, when I emailed the Nascar Cafe if they would be airing the Ravens game on Sunday, I got a quick response from the manager, offering to make reservations that day for my party.

All I'm saying is that sometimes it takes one bad employee to give a bad impression. It doesn't mean it's indicative of the whole establishment.

This tends to be the case when you are dealing with anything Universal. :sad2:

Well, it's likely indicative of the fact that you don't really need reservations so they aren't well practiced at it.

Yep. If I had this kind of reaction every time something similar happened to me at the mouse or anywhere else, I'd probably never leave home.

So true, The only thing that might get crowded would be to sit
at the bar. there should be plenty of space to sit and eat.

Hi all, in your opinion, would I need to make reservations for a Saturday night at Islands in RPH for the character dinner on 10/15 (it's a HHN), or do you think there's no need? Thanks.

I'd make them that morning or if you are there before then, make them then. Islands Restaurant seems to always be empty when we've been there.
