The person I spoke to seemed like they did not want to be bothered and was less than interested in assisting. We used far more of our current UY points and needed some of the banked points we used shifted. They said the only way to do it was to cancel the reservation and re-book. Just seemed like the did not want to be bothered. Really????

Were you booking the 11 month mark? Were the banked points for that resort? If no, then you might not be able to use the banked points unless you book at the 7 month mark even for your home resort. The home resort priority period has to used your home resort even if that means using current year points versus banked points.

Or if you were booking the 7 month mark then call MS again and hopefully the next CM will understand that you just want them to swap the banked points into your reservation as in my bad, I didn't select the correct order for the points. Although I would have expected the system to use them in the correct order of banked points first, borrowed second and current third.

If you don't feel that you are getting the correct service, ask to speak with a supervisor. Just 5 years ago it was very common for members to hang up on MS when MS didn't know what they were doing or if they had poor service skills. People would post about the excuses that they would use to end the call and how many times they would call before getting good service. The level of service at MS is much improved today.

I already made all my reservations for the year. There's 1 night that I might not keep and just wanted those points shifted to another reservation. Nothing terribly difficult.

It sounds like you may be trying to swap points between 2 existing reservations. If that is true, then the MS agent is correct. You can only swap points if you have points that are not assigned to a reservation. If all the points involved are already assigned and you just want to swap points between reservations then you have no available points. In order to swap you would have to cancel a night to free up points, do the swap, then hope you can rebook the canceled night again. That is just how it works.

Agree with DenLo. MS uses the term "reallocate", but as DenLo explained, and jekjones1558 does below, there are certain criterion that must be met to reallocate.
