Terra Verde vs Emerald Island townhome rentals

Can anyone tell me pros or cons to either?? We have found good options at both locations for a very similar cost. You can read more about our needs/wishes here:

I can only give you information on EIR.

I am sure both are wonderful resorts. They have the same builder so I am sure they are very similar.

Grocery Stores
At the Junction of the 192 and Funnie Steed Road is a Winn Dixie

If you turn left on the 192 and drive for approx 1 or so miles to Orange Lakes you will find a Publix Supermarket (on the right hand side).

If you continue left on the 192, take the 27 north (right tuen), just after you get onto the 27 there is a 24 hour Walmart with groceries. Turn right at the first set of stop lights to access it. The walmart is set off the road with smaller stores/restaurants in front of it so it may not be instantly noticeable.

Emerald Island is a shorter drive to Disney than Terra Verde. We actually had rented a condo in Emerald Island last year right after President's week. The one we were given was disgusting, due to the guests who had checked out the day we arrived. We were told the carpets would be scheduled to be cleaned the next day while we were there and there were no other condos to move us to in EI. That was unacceptable to us, so we were moved to an available condo in Terra Verde that was owned by the same company. It was very nice and the resort was nice also. It was just a little farther away from the parks. We were able to save a little time by taking Osceola Pkwy (toll). EI looked like it was a nice resort from the little we saw. We were just turned off by the condo (terrible carpet stains, broken closets, holes in wall).

We have stayed in both areas, we prefer Terra Verde. It is quiet. It was only 10 minutes from the parks. Closer to Sea World and Universal than EI. We queued sometimes 30 minutes to get on the I4 from EI. Restaurants and shops on close on the 192 to Terra Verde. Walmart is 3 minutes drive away.

Thanks everyone. We think we are settled on a townhome in Terra Verde. The access to greenspace right outside your door and being a little removed from the bustle is appealing as we are there for 2 weeks.

The price we are being quoted on this town home is wonderful and the owners seem to have been doing this a while.

Terra Verde being #1 on Trip Advisor right now in Kissimmee.......sure does help too!

We stayed at the Terra Verde in a townhouse and we loved it! We tried to get it again for this upcoming trip but it was booked. It is beautifully maintaned and like others said quiet. You wont be disappointed. We had small kids last time we went so we would come home from the parks, feed them, put them to bed and since there were many restaurants close by DH would go get takeout for us for dinner and it was lovely. I also liked being so close to the target to pick up snacks etc..
