Teresa's WISH Jouranl (Comments Welcomed)

Scale this morning was 161.0-161.5 I knew the meal from last night wasn't going to help, so I wasn't surprised.

Gym this morning I did 60 minutes on the ellptical and that was all I had time for. My neighbors daughter came over this morning so I could take the girls to the museum which was a lot of fun, but crowded with school field trips.

Food today was slimfast for breakfast, string cheese for snack and 2 granola bars & a salad at the museum. I had 2 WW carrot cakes when we got home and a bowl of cereal for dinner (wanted something alittle sweeter) I might have some 94% ff popcorn later, but not really hungry. Water has been good, drinking over 120 ounces already.

Tomorrow I will do weights again and probably the stairmaster and treadmill. I'm having Happy Hour tomorrow night and plan to pick up a big tray of veggies at Sam's Club to have on hand. I probably will have a couple of "cocktails", but think I'll be fine. Saturday, Sunday and MOnday seem to be those days that I say below my points and drink extra water.

We leave in 28 days!!!!

Hi Tera,

I am on a veggies and hummus kick. Your veggie tray sounds like a good idea. Have fun at happy hour.

Take care,
Beth

Beth - How many calories does the hummas have? Always looking for different snacks.

Well I didn't get a chance to post yesterday. I did 20 minutes on the stairmaster, 10 minutes on the bike and 90 minutes on the treadmill. Spent most of the day cleaning the house for Happy Hour. Food was good, eating lots of veggies, few chips and I had a sandwich for dinner. I also had a few drinks, but stayed well within my points. Today I drank lots of water to help flush out and stayed within my points.

I can't believe we leave in only 26 days. I can't believe how quickly time is going by. Tomorrow we are expectly a storm that they are saying could drop atleast 8 to 10 inches of snow. Gotta love spring in Colorado. I'm hoping it'll just rain since our peach tree is blooming and would love to see peaches this year. Tomorrow will be tough if we're stuck inside, but I have plenty of low cal snacks on hand to help get me through. Still really shooting for my 50 pound clippie on Tuesday.

Did I say "you gotta love spring in Colorado"?????? I'm not sure "love" is the word I would use  The news just has reported that we've received 9 inches of snow in 4 hours so far and it's still coming down. Usually, I don't mind the snow, but it's April for God's sake and I'm done with the snow. I even put the snow box (gloves, hats, boots) downstairs  I'm hoping this is it for us and we just get rain. They actually said it should be back in the 60's before Thursday.... weird

Anyways, days like today are hard staying OP, but doing okay so far. I had my 3 egg whites & toast for breakfast and I'm just finishing up my first 32 ounces of water. If we keep getting snow, tomorrow might be a delay or even worse, a snow day for the kids. DH is working from home starting tomorrow, so I still plan to get to the gym, even if it's later in the day.

Just keep thinking....25 days till we leave for our cruise :cloud9: :cloud9:

Ooohh Tera...your cruise is getting so close...I'm so excited for you!!! I have such a hard time concentrating when a big trip is coming up!! I get into vacation mode a bit too early!!!

Have a great day!!

Thanks Gail - It IS hard to focus on anything else but the cruise.

We got dumped a lot of snow yesterday, so the day was spent inside watching movies. Stayed OP with food and drank TONS of water... maybe too much.

The scale said 160 this morning, so I don't know if I'll see 157 tomorrow or not. Since it was s snow day for the kids, I did sleep till about 7:30 before getting up and going to the gym. I did 60 minutes on the treadmill, running and walking and did 4.5 miles. I also walked another 40 minutes, cooling down for a total of 6.33 miles.

Food will be good today and will continue with the water, but maybe not as much as yesterday. I have GOT to work on our suitcases today and go over my lists to make sure I have everything.

I know I won't meet my 150 goal for our cruise, but now am shooting for 155.

Going through my suitcase today and trying to make sure I don't overpack. Still need to get some new shirts for DH, but youngest DD is all ready to go. Will work on oldest DD later tonight and I think we're almost ready :cool1:

You can do it!! 5 pounds...it's yours!! :wizard:

I don't envy the packing...I ALWAYS go overboard with silly stuff and ALWAYS forget to pack socks!! When I traveled for a living, I had 500 pairs of socks...all of them AT HOME, but I had socks...I'll have to remind myself to REMIND you to at least pack the socks...

DEx works in the four corners area (based in Durango)...I haven't heard if they got hit like you did...I can't fathom the amount of snow that can fall there!! Ahhh, spring!!

Onward & Downward!

Have a great week!!

Thanks Tracy - I'm not sure Durango got hit with too much. Seemed to be more the front range and southeast. I think we ended up getting about 21 inches.

The weather has warmed up and most of the snow is gone. Suppose to be in the 70's this week, so it'll be nice to see the grass green up.

Well I've been bad the past few days about writing, so I need to get back on track. Yesterday after I dropped Jessica off at the bus, I went to the gym and walked 75 minutes on the treadmill before going to WW. I gained .4 which I know is just water since I was good this past week. I wasn't too surprised, but always disappointed. I bowled well later in the day and then DH and I went to the Sting concert. I had a beer at my neighbors before and then 3 more at the concert with a pretzel. It really hit me later in the evening and as soon as we got in the van, I drank my 32 ounces of water. I had about another 10 ounces when I woke up in the evening, but still felt bad this morning.

Dropped Jessica off again and went to the gym. Did 20 mminutes on the stairmaster, 60 minutes on the treadmill and 45 minutes when my friend showed up on the ellptical. Felt good that I had burned off the calories from last night.

Food today was a slimfast for breakfast and 3 eggs & toast for lunch. I had one 100 calorie snack and about 120 ounces so far. DH made chicken & veggies for me for dinner and I had a WW ice cream after followed by 94% FF popcorn (snack size)

Tomorrow I need to plan to hit the weights hard and work on my legs. I am now just focusing on getting my 50 pound clippie and go from there.

Hey that's my home town! I was born in Durango :) Moved to Boston when I was 7 so I can't say I remember it too much other than visiting relatives.

I'm glad you aren't stressing over the .4-- its nothing, a little blip along the way! Here's :wizard: :wizard: :wizard: for that 50 lb clippie this week!

Sunny

:grouphug: I can't believe you got that much snow! Glad it is gone!!! :cool1:

Hope you have a great day! :sunny:

Thanks Sunny! I'll take what I can get :goodvibes

Jen - It's amazing... we get all that snow and today, it's almost all gone. That's what I love about living here. We get snow, but if the sun is out, it melts quickly.

Well today has been a good day... I think all that water is finally gone since I saw a solid 159 on the scale this morning. I'm hoping I'll never see the 160's again. I dropped the kids off at school and headed to the gym. Did 30 minutes weights, working both legs and arms. My friend Margaret and I did legs lunges around the gym and I know tomorrow, I'm going to be hurting :earseek: We followed that up with 45 minutes on the ellptical and walked 25 minutes on the treadmill after. Felt good :goodvibes

Had my emissions done on my van and then DH and I went to the grocery store. Finally went through some cookbooks and found some new receipes that I'm going to try this weekend.

Cleaned up abit around the house and then headed to Kohl's before picking kids up from school. Bought some new sandles, tank top and size 10 capris :teeth:

Food today has been really good... slimfast for breakfast, WW meal for lunch, string cheese for snack and tuna on a wheat tortilla w/ small salad for dinner. I'm eating a tootie pop (my new fav treat) but will probably treat myself with a WW ice cream for dessert. I've had over 120 ounces of water so far, so I'm good :teeth:

Tomorrow I'll probably do just cardio, but if my legs aren't sore, might do some more lunges. That is suppose to be one of the best things for thighs and butt... my two worse areas.

20 days till we leave

Good mornign Tera!!! TGIF!!! :sunny:

20 days!!! :cool1: How exciting! :cool1:

Hey Jen!! TGIF!! :sunny: I love Fridays :teeth:

Today I am SORE :earseek: :earseek: :earseek:

I was able to do 40 minutes on the ellptical and 60 minutes on the treadmill, but that was it and I even hurt more now. Those lunges killed me.

Went to the grocery store after and got some fruit for the kids and I for the weekend since it was on sale. It's been pretty quiet day since kids got off early and Jessica is at her friends. Katie and I went to Walmart to pick up a few things for the cruise. I am making brownies for Happy Hour tonight, but then I'm off for a nap.

I'm not planning on drinking tonight, so I should be fine with points. I think we're having pizza, which is one of the worse things I can eat, but I will have a little and enjoy. Not really up for socializing, so I'm sure it'll be a early evening for us. A cold front has come in with overcast and it's just bumming me out. Tomorrow it will be nicer and I'm sure I'll be out in the yard cleaning up from the storm.

Food today was: slimfast for breakfast, 0 point soup and a tortilla w/ turkey & ff cheese (the tortilla was 0 points :goodvibes ) I'm saving my points for tonight, so I'll probably do a string cheese later and I'm still drinking a lot of water, probably 70 ounces so far.

Just wanted to update my evening...

I had one beer tonight, with diet sprite, so it lasted the whole evening. Followed up with water after and water before bed. Tomorrow I will drink more.

I brought veggies, so I loaded up on those (0 points). For dinner I had a pizza made on french bread. I loaded it with veggies, very little sauce and cheese, but it was still yummy. I also had a salad with it, so overall I think I did well.... until dessert  For dessert, one friend brought coconut cream pie, which I had a small slice and one brownie from the batch I had made. Now looking at the box, I knew the brownie was only 3 points, so not bad there. I did have 21 points (including all my AP) going into this evening, so I think overall, I did great. I am so stuffed, almost nauseous :earseek:

I'm not going to worry about any "gain" because I know its just water. I will be good the rest of the weekend and maybe try and get some exercise in by gardening.

Off to bed.... :cloud9:

Forgot to write yesterday  , so here I am.

Yesterday was a busy busy day.... I put some chicken in the crock pot and let it cook for 8 hours, so I didn't have to worry about that. It was a new receipe I found in my cooking light cookbook and mixed low sodium taco seasoning & rotel. It turned out SO good :earboy2:

Anways, when Jessica got home from her sleepover, we headed to clean her war-zone-of-a-room. 4 1/2 hours and 3 garbage bags later, we got it all cleaned    I was finally able to sit down for a few minutes when Katie said "Can you help me clean my room now?" :earseek: :earseek: Her's wasn't AS bad, but about 2 hours and 2 garbage bags later, it was done. FINALLY got to sit down about 8:00pm and I was DEAD tired. Didn't have much time for eating, which was good, but also didn't have much time to drink my water. I stopped for dinner (shredded chicken on wheat/low fat tortillas)

Today we had to get up early for Jessica's feis and I brought plenty of good snacks to eat. I had 3 FF waffles this morning, yougart w/ koshi cereal for snack, plus some rice cakes & 2 100 calorie snacks. When we got home, I was STARVED and I had some of my 0 point veggie soup with some shredded chicken in it. Tonight I will eat the rest of my soup, probably without the chicken though. Not as much water yet, but I intend to make it up this evening.

Next week TOM should be arriving and I can feel it in my mood already. I want something sweet to eat all the time and I'm feeling kind of gloomy :umbrella: Tomorrow I will do cardio and just hope for Tuesday. :wizard:

Scale this morning said 159.5

It's getting frustrating because I feel like I've been good, but the scale isn't moving.

I know it's water... I know my body is hitting a plateau... I know I'm building muscle... blah blah blah

I WANT that 50 pound clippie SO bad :earseek:

I did 40 minutes on the ellptical, 20 minutes on the bike and then worked out with some weights for my arms. I tried to do a set of lunges with my friend, but I'm still sore. DH and I went and hit some golf balls later. I did pretty well considering I have hit a ball in awhile.

Food today has been good... Slimfast w/ 1 FF waffle for breakfast, 2 small turkey on a wheat tortilla w/mustard, lettuce & tomatoes for lunch and a 100 calorie snack after golf. I'm done with about 90 ounces of water so far and plan to get another 40-60 ounces in today.

Tomorrow is weigh in, so we'll just have to wait and see how it goes.

Okay, I guess I was whining for nothing :earboy2:

My WI went well... better than expected actually. I lost 2.8 pounds and claimed my 50 pound clippie (50.8 total). My weight is now 157.2 and I think I'm safetly out of the 160's (FINALLY)

It's been a long road, but I think I'm finally getting to the end. I haven't set my final goal yet and originally thought when I get to 140, I'd be okay, but now, with my height and still BIG BUTT, I'm thinking 135 might be my final weight. We'll just have to wait and see....

Today I was able to get 70 minutes in on the treadmill and I'll be off to bowling in a few minutes. AFter WI, I had my yougart w/ koshi cereal and a string cheese for breakfast and since I got to my 50 pound goal, DH and I are going to Applebees for lunch to celebrate.

50 pounds..... it's just sounds SO huge and I'm not even to my goal. Tomorrow when I'm at the gym, I'm going to pick up 2-25 pound weights to see how much it REALLY is. It's hard to believe I was carrying all that extra weight with me.

Jessica and I went to Kohl's after school yesterday so she could get a few more summer clothes. I was wearing a size 12 skorts (my new favorite clothes) and needed a 10. I'm worried that some of the clothes I bought earlier this year might actually be TOO big  I also tried on a pair of Gloria Vanderbilt stretch capris that were a size 8. Now let me explain... I have NEVER warn a size 8 as an adult EVER. Now since they were stretch, I don't think of it as an "actual" size, but just the fact that I put them on, zipped them up and could actually breath :earseek:

We leave on our cruise in 16 days and I'm starting to feel so much better about myself :flower:

Okay, off to lunch and bowling... :sunny: :sunny:

Tera got a new clippie!!!!

:rose: :rose: :rose: CONGRATULATIONS! :rose: :rose: :rose:

Tera, your dedication to your exercise continues to amaze me and those inches AND pounds are melting away!

You're gonna look fabulous for your cruise. Can't believe you'll be going in only 16 days!! WOO HOO!!! :Pinkbounc

Enjoy your success, dear Tera! You've earned it! :cloud9:

Hi Doe and thanks! Can you believe how quickly the time has gone by? Pretty soon I'll be laying out in my bathing suit, drinking a Mai Tai and feeling great about myself :goodvibes

Lunch with DH was good. I had the chicken sandwich off the weight watchers menu and then DH and I split the orange chicken appetizer.

I have adjusted my ticker and added 5 more pounds to lose for my goal which would take me from 140 to 135. I think for my height and shape, that 140 might still be too heavy. According to WW, I should be 116 to 145 pounds. The 135 would put me pretty close to the middle, so we'll wait and see.
