Anyone ever try this new place? Margarita's are my very fav drink, and in this all adult trip coming up I was thinking of giving it a shot. Is it very expensive, or difficult to get into? (crowds??)

TIA

I love this place. There is a huge standing only bar when you first walk in. Most people stand there. There are about 6 tables around the corner; very hard to get one of these as there are people who come in and camp there.

The cave opens at noon. We try to be there right at opening. It's a great way to start the Epcot tour around the World. They have 3 or 4 small plate appetizers. If we can get a table, we usually split a guacamole order and have 2 margaritas each.

And it's WDW, of course it's expensive.

Thank you! I'll be there with my friend ready to knock a couple back:drinking1

;)

Do you know if they take the tables in wonderland card?

Greetings from Haughton !!:flower3:

My DH & I are planning our 25th anniversary trip & we haven't been to WDW since 2008, & I've heard about this Tequila place.

But....can I ask where is it & what is the name of it, gotta have me one of those Margarita's:lmao:

Can't wait, & we aren't going until Nov 2011 ....4 nights on the Dream & 3 nights hopefully @ the WL !!!:woohoo:

Thanks alot !

I am not sure of the name of the Tequila Bar, but I can tell you where it is located. As you enter the Mexico Pavilion stick to the right (opposite of where the boat ride is). When you enter the inner market area, it is along the right wall. We were just there last week mid-afternoon and there were only 2-3 other people in the bar. I enjoyed the Blood Orange margarita.

I love the tequila bar. Yes it is expensive and can be outrageous depending on the brand you get, some shots can be above $50 per shot!

I had the cucumber margarita....mmmm it was so good! A bit powerful too. I wanted more but $$ was limited for alcohol. But I highly recommend it.

We went there in October and loved it! DH had a blood orange maragarita, I had sangria and we shared an order of shrimp tostadas - everything was really good. It was very pricey though - with tax and tip almost $40 for two drinks and that little app:scared1:.

I was there last November, and had the Jalapeno Margarita.

It was INCREDIBLE.

I will run, not walk, to the Mexico pavillion and get another one the next time I'm in Epcot.

I like the jalapeno margarita, the pineapple margarita, the blood orange margarita....

La Cava de Tequila is it's official name. It's unofficial name, for me at least, is Second Home. :lmao:

can you get them 'to go' or do they have to be drunk in the bar area?
are children allowed in that area?

LOVE LOVE LOVE this place :) I alway get mine to-go.. If I remember right they have 4-5 small booths/tables if you want to sit...

OH Yeah, you can get them to go. I, sadly, was finished with mine once we made it over to Germany. I don't know if you can bring children in. Probably, although as others have said, it's small and crowded. I just got my drink from the bar while my husband was with the kids at the Kidcot/duffy coloring station.

Enjoy!

You can get them to go in a plastic cup.

Children are allowed but be aware this is a tequila bar. It is very noisy and rowdy ... it's a BAR!

Although some of the shots are in the $50 range, the cost is totally dependent on the quality of the tequila you wish to purchase. Most margaritas and tequila shots are in the $12.50 - $15 range.

There is the front bar to stand at, there is a side table to stand at, there is a 'comfy' seating area and then there are about 8 tables with chairs. We have walked in to an empty room and we have seen a waiting line out the door. :confused3
