Tequila Bar - Epcot

Just curious if the tequila bar in Mexico was under construction??

We just returned on Nov.30 - I didn't see anything "under construction". I thought it was supposed to take over a store in the marketplace area outside of the San Angel Inn; everything looked the same.

The tequila bar is supposed to be inside next to the San Angel resturant. Sounds like you were at the margarita bar outside. Have to admit those are some yummy margies

I just got back and we went in looking for any evidence of it and there was nothing.

Mousesavers have said it will open Summer of 2008....so I would think that construction would occur in Spring if they are targeting early summer and probably late spring/early summer for a late summer opening. I would think this would be a relatively simple construction project that shouldn't take more than a couple of months max.

I'd hate to sound like a pessimist, but I'm not holding out much hope for the tequila bar. Based on the dwindling beer and liquor choices around WDW, I can't see them stocking much variety in tequila.

I have a feeling they may have ~4 mid-shelf imported tequilas and they'll mix some standard drinks. If we're lucky , we may get a small serving area like the sake bar in Japan's Mitsukoshi store.

I, for one, HOPE HOPE HOPE it is ready at the end of September!

This would be one place that my DH and I could love to spend a short time.

Just returned on FEb. 4th and sadly, there are no signs of any construction inside the Mexico pavilion. I looked and looked and just couldn't believe my eyes. I sure hope this is still going to happen. They need to get moving on this project. We'll be there in April/May, August, and October, so April/May is out, but there is still hope for the new two trips.

But thats 4 better choices that whatever it is that they put in their Margaritas
