Hi everyone! I just read that Teppen Edo will be closed until October 15th. I have ADRs for September 22nd. Does anyone have good suggestions for alternate TS restaurants? Any resort/park location is fine, just looking for something a little different...
We are me, DH, DD (15), DS (11), and DS (10). We already have ADRs at LeCellier, Liberty Tree Tavern, San Angel Inn, Cape May Cafe, Concourse Steakhouse, Kona, Chefs de France, 50s Prime Time, and Boma. We would actually like to try some resort restaurants but aren't sure what's good. Any suggestions???

Here's a list of some of our favorites:

Spoodles Boardwalk
Flying Fish Boardwalk
Citrico's Grand Floridian
Artist Point Wilderness Lodge

And if your family likes fun:

Whispering Canyon Wilderness Lodge

Enjoy!

Where did you hear it was closed until October 15th? The last time I heard,
the refurb was only supposed to be until September 15th. Is there a thread
that shows they bumped the refurb back yet another month? :confused3

The reason I ask is that I wanted to book the sushi and sake pairing for
October 15 but the computer system wasn't allowing access for the Japan
restaurants yet.

Spoke to a VERY kind CM this evening...he said will be closed likely till NOV!
I would call and have a back up plan..

call now. They are offering VIP viewing of Illuminations for the inconvenience and have a surprising number of restaurants available!

I called yesterday, after reading the thread about the restaurant being closed until mid October, and was able to get ressies at LeCellier for 5:30pm (magically they appeared, I have not been able to get ressies there since beginning of April:wizard: ). And we also received Illuminations viewing tix, like someone previously mentioned. Was looking forward to Japan, but looking more forward now to LeCellier, it's our first time.:goodvibes

Same situation here. We had Teppanyaki on 9/14 and they switched us to Le Cellier for dinner and VIP Illuminations. Obviously we're thrilled. While speaking to the CM she said that every restaurant in EPCOT had added tables because of the Japan renovation.

Thanks for all your responses. I called to reschedule and had to leave a message so I'm waiting for a return call. We're going to try for Coral Reef, we've never been there and since we will be getting the VIP Illuminations tickets, we'll probably just do an Epcot restaurant that day for dinner. The first girl I talked to said there was no availability at Coral Reef but they have added tables for the Teppanyaki cancellations and may have something so...keep your fingers (and toes) crossed for us!!!:hourglass

Agh! I just called because I have an ADR for Sept. 28. I was not offered anything, plus everything is booked! Should I try another CM or wait for a call?:confused3

Call again. The first CM I spoke with transferred me to a special line to handle the switch. It was there that I was offered Le Cellier, Coral Reef, "What would you really like?" (would really like Teppan Edo to be open on time!!) and the VIP passes.

Thank you! I am on hold now for the special line! I'll let you know what I get!:thumbsup2

They didn;t offer me anything but I change my reservations the first day they extended the renovations till Sept 15. DO you think I should call and try an get the vip passes?

I just called about our 9/15 reservation and spoke to a very rude CM :( She told me Teppenyaki would be closed and basically we were out of luck....it wasn't their fault the renovations are taking longer than expected. I told her the only other world showcase resturant my family of 6 would eat at was LeCellier...her response is well you can't get that at 30 days!!! Well is it my fault??? I booked Teppenyaki at 180.....again her response is it's not our fault. So I asked to speak to a supervisor...her response is "you will be on hold for a long time and you won't get a different answer" she said there is dining available, I just won't take it (sorry my family is picky and my mom is diabetic and can't eat at 8:30) So I said I would gladly hold for a supervisor......after being on hold for a long time I got a voicemail to leave a call back number...so now I am waiting :(

I just got an ADR for Le Cellier and a VIP seating for illumination! Thanks for info!

Well Disney pulled thru with the magic.....we got a 5:30 reservation at LeCellier, they had to split us up to two tables but it is still doable. We also got the VIP seating for Illuminations!!!

Would have rather had Teppenyaki but I am satisfied with how Disney made accomodations for us. :)

I just got off the phone with dining and had no luck with LeCellier. I was calling to replace a 9/23 Teppanyaki reservation. She did read off quite a few 6 - 7 pm available times but of course, not the most popular ones. They did have France and Germany in Epcot.

Good luck to anyone calling.

I called to change a different ADR. but the CM saw the Teppanyaki ADR, and offered to put us through to the special phone line they set up to handle the Teppanyaki ADR changes, so I said yes, held for a bit, then left my name and phone number. The CM who just called was the sweetest person, and we are now the proud possessors of an ADR at Le Cellier and VIP Illuminations viewing - she told me that it was on the ADR, and that when we got to the restaurant, they'd give us 'badges and directions'. I wonder if the 'badge' is just a sticker, or if it'll be a nice little keeper souvenier?

Anyway, how wonderfully well they've handled this - I'm glad I didn't get all riled up at a CM a week ago and demand to change my ADR  !
