We are a family that has a shellfish allergy and our 7yo son really wants to dine here, does anyone know how well they deal with allergies, ie. Sitting with others that may want shellfish (shrimp?) TIA!

We ate there about 7 months ago. We had some special needs as well. When we went there, they were very good about asking questions and and understanding our needs. I don't know about shellfish as we did not have that issue, but they were good about dealing with our needs.

We were there in March. We ordered the Shrimp and steak. I think the other party at our table said one of them was allergic to shellfish and the chef cooked her chicken first and then put our shrimp on the grill.

How severe is the allergy, can trace amounts of shellfish cause a problem? A friend of ours is allergic to shrimp if he eats shrimp, not that severe where trace amounts cause a reaction.

As a PP said, they will probably cook his food first or separately.

I'm allergic to all seafood and they always cook my meal first. There's also some kind of fish powder or something in the rice so they bring me steamed rice instead of the fried rice. That suits me fine since IMO steamed rice is more suited to it than fried. They used to serve steamed only and every Japanese restaurant I've ever been to has steamed rice, not fried.
