Teppan Edo

Paying OOP, not on DDP, is sharing allowed at Teppan Edo?
. . . have never heard or seen it done
. . . but, I don't see why not
. . . it is not a buffet or all-you-can-eat

How big are the portions?
. . . big appetites might need food soon afterward
. . . or have a snack before dinner

I have seen people share at Tappen Edo with no problem. A couple who was seated at our table shared a meal the last time we were there.

So the option of Dh sharing with DD (6) and me sharing with DS (8) is realistic, or at minimum the kids sharing while Dh and I both have our own meals.
How big are the portions? What about the kids size portion?

We are not huge eaters - and the portions for our kiddos (7 & 8), DH and myself were just the right size. For us, 2 meals definately wouldn't have been enough to share between the 4 of us.

Teppan Edo is the only Disney restaurant that we have been to that served normal size portions. They really are not a size for sharing unless you are sharing with a small child.

Sharing is definitely allowed there. We went this past Friday and were on the ddp and shared without a problem so oop will be no issue. We shared 2 meals between 4 of us. The brought out extra rice at no extra charge and the meal was plenty filling as it came with vegtables, noodles, meat, and rice. We did get an appetizer of edema but only because my daughter LOVES it.

ITA. The meals there are the smallest-sized meals of any TS restaurant in WDW. My family would never considering sharing meals here.

We don't mind, as we order appetizers & desserts. Teppan Edo is one of our favorites, & a MUST DO every trip.

Sharing is allowed.
Personally, as others have said, I do not think the portion sizes at Teppan Edo are large enough to share, I am not a big eater, and the portion at Teppan Edo is just right for me.

Sharing is definitely allowed with OOP but I don't suggest with Teppan Edo. We always have trouble finishing our meals at other WDW restaurants. DS7 and I maybe eat half of entree.
However, at Teppan Edo, DS7 and DH and I had no problems finishing our meals with desserts on DDP. Let's just say that Japanese are not big eaters and their portions are very small (in Japan) and they are pretty much the same in WDW. ;)
