I have reservations in September for Teppan Edo and this will be my first visit to that restaurant. I have been to a hibachi grill several times but I am wondering if they are similar. Does anyone know if Teppan Edo serves the soup and salad with your food? Also any opinins on Teppan Edo would be great. Thanks:)

We ate there last September and I can say it was EXACTLY like the Japanese Steak Houses I have been to before. I can't remember if we got soup and salad, but it seems like we received at least one of those before our meal.

The food was exactly like I expected as was the service, nothing more and nothing less. It was a decent meal though I do not think I would book it again. Mainly because there are so many unique options at Epcot that we wouldn't go back to something we can do at home.

If you really like this style of food and dining, you will enjoy this restaurant. Hope this helps.

Soup and Salad is not specifically a part of the meal. Here is a current menu in the link below.

I enjoyed it a lot on my last trip as did the two young children that I sat near. Like PP said there is a lot of variety in Epcot so next time I'm inclined to try something different. But I may go back too, I don't have anything negative to say about Teppan Edo.

Salad is extra and is served before the meal. We had the seaweed salad and among the four of us we tried all three dressings. They were all excellent. The food was very good but not a huge portion. Our chef didn't really "perform" very much. He made a volcano and that was about it. We found it to be extremely noisy in the restaurant but perhaps that's because the other three tables in the room were there for a grand gathering birthday and they were all yelling to talk in between the tables. We also thought it was extremely expensive for what we got (good food but not anything truly unique and not much of a show from the chef.) We loved it the first time in 2006 when it was Teppanyaki but it was just okay this time as Teppan Edo (we went in April). Like other posters have said there's so many unique options in Epcot, I'd probably try something else and go to the local Japanese Steak house at home.

We were on DDP and this was one of our ADRs. We have young school aged children and we were seated with another family of four (their kids were pre-school aged).

We really liked the meal and the staff kept our girls entertained. We found the food to be quite tasty and just a little bit better than the average Japanese Steak.

It was one of our favorite meals (I think we liked Les Chefs de France a tad better) of the 8 night trip.

I agree with PP's Teppan Edo was alright but nothing special.

No soup and salad is included unless you order them oop. One thing I have noticed is that they really do not give you many noodles. It still is a lot of food, so it does fill me up, but I wish they did serve more noodles than they do. It is still one of our favorites though!
