Teppan Edo

My daughter really likes it as she is a little foodie. We don't particularly care for sitting at a large table with others - it's nice to escape other people at mealtime as the parks are so crowded, so this might be an issue for some.

Also, currently Teppan Edo/Tokyo Dining are not signed up for 2009 Dining Plan (signed up very late last year), nor do they accept the TIW Card (formerly DDE), so this might factor into someone's decision about eating here.

Happy eating, Tiger :)

I didn't realize that it was not on the DDP. Hopefully they'll add it soon b/c it's the one place that we really, really want to try!

We just ate there on December 14th. The food was delicious. I had the steak and shrimp/prawns with noodles and rice - YUMMY!

Our kids had the chicken with noodles and rice, and they ate it up!

Our only bummer was our chef wasn't very entertaining/personable. He had a rather "blah" personality. Also, he wasn't Japanese, or at least he didn't look Japanese. All the other tables around us had very lively, energetic, funny Japanese chefs, so we watched them instead.:thumbsup2

We did have a bit of a hiccup with our reservation here though. When we checked in (we were about 30 min early) they couldn't find our reservation. So I gave them our reservation number, and when she put the number in her computer, it showed a reservation for us at the Coral Reef. I told her we had already eaten at the Coral Reef earlier in the week for a CP package, but I certainly did not make another reservation for the Coral Reef for tonight, and that somehow a mistake was made. They were all booked up, but she said they would do their best to get us a table in about 40 minutes (we're a party of six). Well, it was exactly 40 minutes when our pager went off for our table. And since we were 30 minutes early for our original reservation anyway, we only had to wait an extra 10 minutes past that to get a table. Now that's what I call GREAT SERVICE!

We eat there everytime we go to Disney. It is my husbands must do and the kids have so much fun. It is also a great place(from balcony) to watch the fireworks. I try to get 7-7:15 ressies so we can then go out and watch the fireworks. Works great.

Oh really? I didn't know there was a balcony where you could watch Illuminations from there. Thanks!

i ate lunch there last month and just loved it! the servers were great, very attentive and welcoming. the food was excellent - very fresh. also, great lunch portions! i was full the rest of the day!

cons, for me: sharing table with another family & a less than flamboyant chef. no biggie, though.

i would def recommend this one! it's picky eater approved!:goodvibes
