we would love to try teppan edo, and think our 5 year old DD will enjoy the atmosphere, but is it a restaurant that you would bring an 18 month old? from the pictures i've seen, it looks like you dine in groups, and maybe with people that are not with your party?

Yes, we had to share our table with lovely family from Canada.

I would think it would be fine for a toddler. Im sure they have high chairs, though I don't remember seeing any.

wdwmom - when were you there, maybe I was the lovely family from Canada? :) We did this with our 8mo old in September. She loved the rice and we gave her some of our food as well. There are definitely high chairs!

Our son was 20 months and we all had a good time. He was in a high chair pulled to the table and enjoyed watching the chef. I'd definitely suggest going!

Just make sure the child is at one of the corners, as far from the grill as possible so that it is out of reach; the temperature gets to 500.

We were there this past May 27th thur June 5th. The family that we were seated with had three young boys. They were so well behaved too.:) I was worried at first thinking that this was going to be a nightmare, but I was pleasantly surprised.:goodvibes

Great advice! I thought about that too even with my kids. My DD sat back away from the table while he was cooking because she thought he would catch her hair on fire. :rotfl2: He never even came close!;)

Def GO! They have high chairs, and Kids love the entertainment! Yes you share a table with others, but in my opinion - don't come to Disney if you don't want to see kids! It's very kid friendly.

I think it would be fine provided you have a child that will remain IN his seat the whole time and not up and running around.

:thumbsup2 Yes, you would be crazy to think you could go to Disney and not see kids, but I don't think anyone mentioned not wanting to see kids. :confused3

If you were referring to my post I was a little worried at first because the boys were a tiny bit stir crazy while we waited in the lobby (understandable), but they were perfect at dinner.:goodvibes Very sweet family.

I had my kids with me too so I expected to see children.

OP, also check out the bathrooms there. They were really neat.:lmao:

It's fine for toddlers, although they will need to sit, it is not a good place for them to be running around. Nobody has mentioned that they don't want to see kids, but Teppan Edo isn't Chef Mickey's, there are people constantly walking and the chefs cook at the tables, it isn't the best for restless children who won't sit. If it's the idea of sitting at a table with another party that bothers you, toddler or not, then bear in mind that if you have a party of less than 8 you will likely have another party at your table.

I am not so much worried about being with another family as much as i am worried about them being stuck with us :-D i think we will wait until she is a little older. Thanks for all the good info!
