Teppan Edo splitting meal possible? Order off kids menu?

My mom, 86 and on chemo for advanced colon cancer, will be joining us for a few days in February. Our daughter really wants Teppan Edo. I searched and the most recent experience I could come up with was in 2013. Hence, the question...

It's been a couple of years, but I was able to order off the kids menu at Teppan Edo with no issues.

My kids were allowed to split an adult meal with no problem.

Been there a bunch of times....just explain at check-in...I'm sure you won't have a problem! Enjoy.
