We had 5:45 reservations on Saturday at Teppan Edo. We had enjoyed Teppanyaki on our trip last year and were really looking forward to this meal and seeing the changes. We are 4 adults on the dining plan, but they allowed Dd10 to order from the kids menu.
I want to clarify that we had a very good time and all left happily stuffed. But, unfortunately it didn't live up to our expectations and we doubt we'll go back again.
What we ate:
Dd10- shrimp meal, chocolate icecream, orange soda
Dd16-seaweed salad, shrimp and chicken meal, green tea pudding, iced green tea.
Dh-seaweed salad, steak and shrimp meal, no dessert, iced tea.
Me-seaweed salad, steak and shrimp meal, fruit tart, iced tea.
Our "cooker" was great, he performed very well and was quick of wit. We enjoyed him!
Dh ordered sushi OOP and he shared that with Dd10, along with his seaweed salad.
Our "problems"...not really problems though...just things that dissapointed us just a bit.
1. We liked the "old" seating on high stools. We are used to that in all the Japanese Steakhouses we frequent...sitting in the new lower chairs was just "odd" in this setting.
2. They didn't allow dd's to get smoothies with their meals on the plan. They allowed this last year at Teppanyaki.
3. Dd's little scoop of icecream came without Mickey sprinkles. I know, a vey small complaint...but last year she got the sprinkles and we were just expecting that little Disney touch.
4. Dh ordered a dessert, but was never served one. This we cannot complain about because he chose to not mention it. He ate a bit of mine.
5. While the pudding was good, Dd16 was dissapointed that the green tea icecream had been taken off the menu. She really enjoyed that!
All in all, it was a good meal even with the minor dissapointments.
