Teppan Edo Question

Is it awkward to go there and not order an appetizer or dessert?
The desserts don't really appeal to me, and I find meals with an appetizer is too much food for us.

Since we are going to be at a table with other diners, is it awkward for us if they are ordering appies and we are not, just sitting there watching them eat??

We never order appetizers and desserts. Totally fine to only order what you want to eat.

I've been to Teppan Edo a bunch of times and I rarely see people ordering appetizers. Desserts is about half and half. Not everyone orders it. Those on the Dining Plan will order dessert obviously since it comes with the package.

no problem at all. When we were there, 2 families of 5, they had appetizers, we didn't. We had desserts, they didn't. No problem at all.

We go every year but we have never ordered dessert, even when we are on the meal plan - not much to pick from and we're always stuffed. Now we've always ordered appetizers and we're usually the only ones at the table that do. We love the tempura!

Not at all. DH and I always order appetizers (I like their miso soup and DH likes the sushi) but we find that rarely do others at the table order them. Usually several people at the table order dessert, but I never do. I usually order a glass of nigori sake instead and DH rarely orders any dessert or dessert drink.

1) MrsRustyScupper and I have smaller appetites and usually share meals. *
2) So, when at Edo, we just get the entrée and skip the appy and desert.
3) Never been a problem.

* When you get OLD, the appetite shrinks. Besides, it is more fun stretching out the meal and playing footsies or kneesies.
