Which kids meals are prepared in front of you? Which are served on the monorail plates? I think this will help DD make a decision about what she wants to order. Thanks!

The Kids Teppan meal (choice of chicken or shrimp) is cooked on the grill.

Teppan, or teppanyaki, is AFAIK the correct term for the Japanese style of cooking on an open griddle in front of the diners. Around here, people seem to prefer to call it "hibachi" which, while not strictly incorrect (the grill itself may or may not be a hibachi) seems to be a solely American way of identifying teppan cuisine.

The Teppan (cooked on the grill in front of you) meal is not served in a monorail plate, it's served on the regular plate.

The "Okosama" meals (according to the Allears menu) are the ones that come on the monorail plate and they are cooked in the kitchen.

I posted a couple of pics on the "Disney Food Pictures Part III" thread, page 120, post 1789. It's not a great example, but it's my 7-yo eating the kids' Chicken Teppan meal. He had chicken (obviously, lol), rice, udon noodles, and the veggies.
