We are looking to try somewhere new this trip. There will be four of us DH, DS (3), DD (1), and myself. I have read good things about Tutto and currently have our ADR for there but I am considering changing to Teppan Edo. I thought DS might enjoy watching the Chefs cook on the hibachi. I have read some reviews on service at Tutto and I am questioning if it is a kids friendly atmosphere.

Looking forward to peoples opinions.

Thank you,
Mrs. Disney Ron

Hands down... Tepan Edo...
Exceptional food & service- fun food show, chefs cater to kids...

Tutto- great service, cold bread, food is okay, but nothing spectacular.
DH did not like his dish- his pasta looked like lawn grubs...
mine was okay, but I could have made better at home and I'm not Italian...

For the prices I expect better than I could make at home, jmho...

Interesting...so excited to read kids are catered to. Thank you for the input. Something in me just has me questioning Tutto.

I am a total foodie and I would say Tutto Italia without a doubt!!! One of my faves in all of WDW! Teppan Edo can be done in almost any town in America, IMHO.

What is your opinion on comfort level with young kids? I know all of them are Disney restaurants and kids are welcome but lets face it some are a more comfortable atmosphere than others. I have read some reviews that server can be a bit stuffy.

We really enjoy both restaurants. My kids felt comfortable at Tutto, we had a great server and excellent food. The food at Teppen Edo is also very good, and my kids had alot of fun. We had a great chef who was really funny, he even made a tic tac toe board with the veggies on the grill to play with our kids. So it really depends what you what. Tutto is good food in a very pretty restaurant, Teppan is good food with some entertainment and interaction for your children.

They both are a must do every trip for us. Tutto food is VERY good.
Teppen Edo is good food & fun. So it really depends what you want to eat. I bet though your son would have more fun at Teppen Edo.

You are right, they are all fine for kids. If you don't have a Teppan Edo"ish" restaurant in your town, that would be fun for kids. Tutto, while fabulous food and atmosphere, would not be very "exciting" for kids......

Trust your gut on this one. Seriously.

IMHO buying a can of Contadina at the grocery store and pouring it on some very overcooked noodles can be done in any kitchen in America. Can not tell you how much we detested Tutto Italia. Worst. Food. Ever. Anywhere. LOL
Teppan Edo is not only fun but the food is good as well. It'll probably cost you less too! :goodvibes

Tutto was not good so I would def not recommend it to anyone.

Completely agree....tried it twice and all meals were bad both times. Never again!

I would pick Teppan Edo. We love going there. The food is good and you can't beat the entertainment provided by the chefs. It is a good time. We have many Japanese restaurants at home that are very good, but we still don't like to miss Teppan Edo, it is a must for us.

Teppan Edo is a must for us every trip! As a matter of fact....my almost 10 year old has chosen to there to eat his birthday meal at in June! It's like getting dinner with a show and the kids love it!

I loved Alfredo's and miss it terribly. We have ate there once since it became Tutto Italia and to be honest....I don't care if we ever go back there again.

I would recommend Teppan Edo - it's fantastic to watch your chef cook infront of you, and they really engage with everyone at your table. A great experience! I know teppanyaki restaurants aren't exclusive to Disney, but they are a lot of fun.

Thank you all for your post. I am now looking forward to Teppan Edo.
Like someone said go with my gut...I think it will be more fun for DS and us.

Exactly....But, I always say it tastes like it came out of a can of Chef-Boy-R-Dee or Franco American!! Hands down the very worst food (and service) I've had at WDW! At least the manager was polite and refunded our payment. The waiter was too rude to approach about a refund.
