Which one would you recommend with 4 kids? I have a ressie at Teppan Edo, kids are asking to eat in France instead! Not sure why.....is this restaurant something kids enjoy? Thanks for your opinion!

How old are your kids? We did Teppan Edo with 3,5 and 9 year olds and they enjoyed it. Did Chefs De France with the same kids the next year, and they were bored- and the food was less than appealing. Most of our dishes were served cold, and the waitstaff was pretty lackluster as well. Unless your 4 are significantly older, I would think Teppen Edo would be the better choice. And you can watch fireworks from the deck there too!

I much prefer Chefs de France. I like the food both places, but I always feel rushed at Teppan Edo. Depending on when you are there, your kids might really enjoy seeing Remy at Chefs de France!

We are going in August. The girls will be 12, 10, and 8. The baby (boy) will be 16 months. Maybe the girls have heard that Remy is there, I don't know?..... I think Japan looks like fun, but the girls have been to Benihana and they think it's exactly the same and I guess they would like to try something different. We will have the dining plan, with the 2 older girls being "adults" on the plan. Not sure if that makes a difference on your opinions? Thanks everyone!

while the food is good at chefs de france, its definitely not entertaining, especially for kids, i dont think. if youre looking for good food and entertainment i would say keep your teppan edo reservation. if youre just looking for good food and nothing else, chefs de france wont hurt. just a word of advice, though, i have heard more bad things about chefs than i have about teppan edo. i enjoyed the food at both so i cant say anything bad either way.

We took our three kids (13,9,8) to Chefs de France two weeks ago, and they loved it. DH and I thought the food was very good as well.

Teppan Edo was really good, great atmosphere and very entertaining. however, if you have been to japanese restaurants with teppan tables before then it's not really anything special. i highly recommend going to the gift shop there though!!

Kids are funny. I would eventually like to eat at all the different TS in Epcot, so for our last trip, I just asked DH and DS where they wanted, independently. They both wanted France. DS just wanted to try something new.

We went for dinner. Kids meals are really sad, especially for an older child, but we always share, so we get over it. It's good that the older ones are considered adults, they will really get a kick out of then. We had a late ADR, and while we didn't wait for a table, we waited a long time for our food. REALLY REALLY LONG. Late for us is 8:10 PM.

I would recommend getting in earlier. Remy is still there up to 5 something I think, like a PP said.

We went to Japan when it was called the other name, which I forget now. DS hadn't been to a Japanese Habatchi style restaurant before so it was all new and exciting for him. If you have been to these before, then I think you should honor the kids request, go to France. They will be more inclined to enjoy the meal anyway since they picked it!

If they have been to Benihana then I think Teppen Edp will disappoint them. We had never been to a hibatchi style restaurant when we went to TE and thought it was good, wait for a table was horrible and they don't really give you a ton of food. Then when we went to our local place we were very disappointed with TE.

We did lunch at Chefs and my kids loved it especially seeing Remy!
